Controlling oxygen contents is an easy way to tune physical properties in the transition metal oxides. In particular, Fe and/or Co containing oxides are often found to show different electronic states with different valence states by the method. In this report, we synthesized oxygen-deficient SrFe0.8Co0.2O3d thin films on (001) (LaAlO3)0.3-(SrAl0.5Ta0.5O3)0.7 substrates by pulsed laser deposition and observed the modification of its electronic state by facile low temperature oxidative annealing. As a result of simple oxidative annealing, we achieved a huge decrease of the lattice constant, reduction in electric resistivity, an increase of the valence states of both Co and Fe, and an increase of hybridization between oxygen and transition metal ions without losing the crystallinity.

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line(ADLS) is considered as one of the promising technologies to provide high-speed Internet access to subscribers. The speed that subscribers can achieve in the ADSL access network varies depending on the various factors. One of the factors is the dimensioning of the access network which is determined by how many users are connected to one DSLAM. In this paper we describe the architecture of ADSL access network and network constituents, and explain two connection models and related protocols for Internet service provisioning. Then we establishes the simulation model where each subscriber connects to a remote server by HTTP connection and download a page on each request. In this paper we analyze the delay and link utilization depending on the number of subscribers, download file sizes, and server capacities. We use OPNET for simulation.

The purpose of this study is to promote the expansion of Korean coffee industry research by studying coffee pairings that are well-suited by matching coffee and food. This study conducted an experimental study in order to double the pleasure of consumers while contributing to the activation of marketing or sales increase in the coffee industry through coffee pairing research. In particular, in that it is a coffee pairing experiment that starts for the first time, it started with light roasting coffee. From December 1, 2022 to April 2, 2023, three raters participated in the experiment. Prior to the start of the study, coffee and food recommendations were received from 10 coffee experts and 10 baristas, and an evaluation paper was written while matching coffee(13 types) and food(30 types) derived from related preceding studies. As a result of the experiment, the pairing of coffee and food in this study resulted in coffee pairing results suggesting 13 types of coffee in 3 categories and 30 types of food in 3 categories. In addition, it was confirmed that the matching degree of most coffee and food(dessert, breakfast, Korean food) was rated above average, and the taste of the general public and the result of the evaluator were similar. In the end, since there is a universalized coffee pairing product, we proposed four ways to generalize and market it. First, it is the development of consumer-customized products that are segmented and specialized. Second, it is the use of coffee omakase that provides a unique experience. Third, promotion of marketing strategy for generalization of coffee pairing. These include subscription services, coffee pairing kit development, coffee pairing-related content creation, coffee pairing-related events and classes, coffee pairing recipe book development, and coffee pairing competitions. Fourth, coffee pairing menu development, consulting, and app development, suggesting marketing implications that can be further strengthened through collaboration with food companies.
Utilization of carbon dioxide onto activated carbon fibers for surface modification

Increasing demand for fossil fuels is associated with massive atmospheric CO2 levels. Considering that numerous studies have been published with CO2 capturing techniques, utilizing techniques are yet in early stage with fnancial or technical issues. As a part of chemical conversion in CO2 utilization, this paper investigated the performance of a CO2 and H2O mixture (CHM) onto activated carbon fbers (ACF) for surface modifcation. CHM-treated ACF samples were prepared at a pressure of 20 bar with 100 °C of water vapor and 750 μL of CO2 for 1 h through the gas-phase, and labeled as C-ACF850. For the control sample, N-ACF850 was also prepared by the impregnation of nitric acid. Physiochemical analyses revealed that the overall characteristics of C-ACF850 lay between ACF850 and N-ACF850. C-ACF850 experienced minimized surface area decrement (21.92% better than N-ACF850), but increased surface functional groups (50.47% better than ACF850). C-ACF850 also showed preferable adsorption efciency on selected metals, in which case both physical and chemical properties of adsorbent afect the overall adsorption efciency. In this regard, a novel applicability of CHM may present an appealing alternative to traditionally used strong acids.

The aqueous extract from Asiasari radix (AEAR) was used to investigate the effect of ${\alpha}$-melanocyte stimulating hormone induced melanogenesis in B16F10 mouse melnoma cells. The treatment with AEAR at the 1.0 and 2.0 mg/ml level significantly inhibited the biosynthesis of melanin without changes of cell growth and morphology compared with untreated control. The AEAR-treated cells at the 2.0 mg/ml level were more efficient than commercial arbutin at 0.1 mg/ml. The tyrosinase activity also significantly decreased in AEAR-treated cells at the 1.0 and 2.0 mg/ml level. The Western analyses confirmed the slightly decreased expression of tyrosinase by AEAR treatment. These results indicate that AEAR may contribute to the inhibition of melanin biosynthesis through regulating tyrosinase activity and expression and serve as a new candidate in the design of new skin-whitening or therapeutic agents.
