The lower dielectric constant obtainable with foamed insulation of FEP resin varies directly with void content. In order to decrease the dielectric constant of Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) resin has made use of foaming specimens. As the results of the study, the logarithm of the dielectric constant decrease linearly from 2.1 of pure FEP resin to 1.52 or less, and at 1 mega Hertz, dielectric loss tangent is also observed about ????? order, so it is very suitable for high frequency insulation cable. The volume resistivity ????? ��m was obtained.
Correction of Radial Distortion Based on Line-Fitting

This paper presents an algorithm for correcting the distortion of a wide-angle lens with a single image. The radial distortion that transforms the horizontal and vertical lines in the real world into general curves in an image provides us with an image of degradation. Based on the principle that straight lines in the real world look straight in an image under the pinhole camera model, the proposed distortion correction algorithm extracts curves automatically and manually, fits lines to the curves, and determine the optimum distortion parameters by exploiting the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm (LMA). Ultimately, the distortion parameters convert distorted images into undistorted ones without degradation of image quality.

Studies has been carried out on the characteristics of thermally stimulated current for polypropylene in the temperature range of $293[^{\circ}K]{\sim}403[^{\circ}K]$. The main peak observed at $366[^{\circ}K]$, as may be $\beta$ peak in conventional nomination, is believed to be depolarization current originated from the relaxation of "CO" group in monomer structure. The activation energy for the observed peak has been concluded to be in the range of $0.6{\sim}0.7[(eV]$ at $360[^{\circ}K]$ by the initial rise method. Furthermore, the initial density of carriers were calculated about $10^{22}/m^3$

Ever since gold was found, this element has fascinated human beings. It is stable in air, and is illuminating for several thousands years without changing its colors. Nanoparticles are the basic nanommaterials, and, particularly gold nanoparticles show unique properties which are not shown in bulk states. Scientists are trying to apply these new properties to catalysts, bioscience, optics, etc. Judging from the current research activities, one can envisage that gold nanoparticles can play a major role in opening a new era in diagnoses and treatment of diseases like cancers. However to apply the nanoparticles one must modify the surface of the nanoparticles in order to give the materials certain functionalities. It certainly is worth to review the current research status and challenges in the area of functional gold nanoparticles.

MOFs(Metal-Organic Frameworks) are new kinds of materials comprised of metal ions and functional organic ligands, and have large pores in its rigid structures which give the materials various functionalities, including gas absorption, separation, drug delivery etc. Recently photoluminescence properties of MOFs and possibilities of its application to high explosive sensing technologies are drawing attentions from scientists and engineers, because these methods are simple, cheap and easy to perform detection operations. In this article the author reviews the mechanisms of photoluminescence of MOFs, the detection methods of high explosives using MOFs and recent research progresses based on the papers published mainly during last 10 years.
