This study compared and evaluated the wind resources of North and South Korea macroscopically in the preparation for future energy cooperation. To this end, the Korea wind resource map of the Korea Institute of Energy Research, in which its accuracy has been validated, was used. The onshore wind resource was analyzed by the terrain elevation category, while the offshore wind resource was analyzed by the water depth and distance to shore categories. North Korea was found to have a five times larger feasible onshore area, where the wind class is over level 3, and a 2.1 times larger feasible offshore area, where the wind class is over level 4, water depth is less than 50 m, and distance to shore is less than 70 km. On the other hand, despite the average terrain elevation of North Korea being double that in the South, the average wind power density of onshore in North Korean is similar to that of South Korea, while the average wind power density offshore in North Korean is lower than that of South Korea. The feasible area of the wind farms identified in this study will be used to establish renewable energy development strategies of North Korea in the near future.

By blocking irradiance, shadows cast by high-rise buildings in urban areas can reduce the power generation efficiency of PV panels installed on low-rise buildings. As the conventionally installed PV panel is not suitable for the urban environment, which is unfavorable for power generating, a more radical solution is required. This study aims to help solve this problem by estimating the optimal PV panel angle. Using the proposed method, the optimal PV angle was calculated by considering shadows that could be cast by nearby buildings throughout the year, and the correlation between solar shading and elevation angle was discovered based on the calculated data.

Effects of muscle fluid concentrates from Styela clava on fish diets were investigated in rainbow trout(Oncorhynchus mykiss). Fish were fed on one of the isonitrogenous(48%) and isolipic(20%) feed containing 5 to 20% of muscle fluid concentrates for 8 weeks. Hematological parameters such as hemoglobin, hematocrit, albumin, glucose, total bililubin, triglyceride and glutamic pyruvate transaminase of the rainbow trout which were fed on the diets varied, but no specific trend became apparent. However, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase value was significantly higher than that of normal fishes. Therefore, concentrated ascidian fluid which is normally discarded, can be combined with commercial diets for the normal growth of rainbow trout.

효율적인 persistent 프로그래밍을 위한 개발 환경에 대한 연구가 최근 Atkinson에 의해 제안되었다. 이는 개발 환경에 Scalable Persistent Foundation 계층을 둠으로써 각 시스템 프로그램들이 갖는 기능의 중복 구현과 그에 따른 비효율성을 방지하고 상위 프로그램에는 통일된 인터페이스를 제공하자는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 SPF 계층 중 physical object storage 계층의 persistent 프로그래밍 환경을 지원하기 위해서 갖추어야 할 기능과 이에 대한 구체적인 방안을 연구하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 다양한 기능의 상위 계층의 대하여 저장 구조가 제공하여야 할 적응성에 대하여 주로 연구하였으며, 그 결과 객체의 크기에 따른 파티션의 분할, 가변적인 클러스터 크기를 지원하는 저장 모형을 설계, 이를 구현하였다.
