Recently, wind power has received attention as one of remarkable renewable energy resources, and worldwide researches about wind power are actively being proceeded. Wind turbine tower has a major role for safety in the wind turbine systems. It is necessary for design tower structure to consider various environmental conditions. Earthquake, as one of the such environmental loads, is ground motion that applied to bottom of the tower structure and has a possibility of critical effect to the wind tower structure. There are various ways for seismic analysis, but design specifications that are in use do not suggest detailed method for seismic analysis. In this study, seismic responses are analyzed through different ways and the adequacy of seismic design methods is examined.
악성 구강상피에서 삼차원적 배양을 이용한 비타민의 발암억제 연구

Since immortalization by Human Papilloma Virus -16 is one possible early step towards carcinogensis in oral epithelia, and Oncogene transfected immortalized cells are more advanced for cancer cells. We studied the differential effect of vitamins A(14μM/ml), C(lMM/ml), D(100μM/ml), and E(lμm/ml) on normal human oral keratinocyte(NHOK), HPV-16 E6E7 immortalized human oral keratinocyte(IHOK), Oncogene transfected HPV-16 immortalized cells(OTOK), and two oral squamous cell line(HNSCC30, HNSCC31) according to carcinogenesis stage. The vitamin effect was evaluated by morphology, cell viability, and orgnaotypic culture. 1. Vitamin A has a greater negative effect on growth for all NHOK, IHOK, HNSCC, especially N-Ras transfected IHOK. 2. Vitamin D & E revealed no significant cell activity on NHOK, IHOK, ad OTOK. 3. Vitamin C was found increased cell viability to IHOK and OTOK. 4. In primary oral squmaous cell carcinoma(HN30), vitamin D and C showing increased cell growth, but vitamin E showing no effect. 5. In metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma(HN31), vitamin C has proliferative effect, but vitamin D & E has anti-proliferative effect. 6. Vitamin A treated normal and malignant cells by organotypic culture, showed reduction of epithelial layer and invasion to connective tissue., especially in IHOK & oncogene-transfected IHOK. In conclusion, three-dimensional culture system may be useful as a model to acess the efficiency of agents such as all trans retinoic acid can preventing progression of these premaligant lesion to maligant oral carcinoma(chemopreventive agent).
윈드실드 설계개선을 통한 회전익항공기 비행안전성 향상에 관한 연구

윈드실드는 기체구조 증 전방동체에서 비행조건에 의한 공기력을 견디며 전방시야를 확보하기 위한 구성품이다. KUH-1 항 공기 운용 중 윈드실드 파손으로 인한 그물형의 파손 형상으로 전방 시야확보에 어려움을 끼쳤다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이를 개선하기 위해 파손사례 및 체계영향요소 분석을 수행하여 윈드실드 파손원인을 파악하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 파손 후 시야 확보를 위해 윈드실드 재질을 변경하였으며, 파손 빈도 감소를 위해 윈드실드 외부 표면에 보호필름을 추가하였다. 향후 본 연 구의 결과는 소형무장헬기 등 신규 개발 사업 수행 시 활용 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

An advanced nuclear reactor based on molten salts including a molten salt reactor and pyroprocessing needs a sensitive monitoring system suitable for operation in harsh environments with limited access. Multi-element detection is challenging with the conventional technologies that are compatible with the in-situ operation; hence laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) has been investigated as a potential alternative. However, limited precision is a chronic problem with LIBS. We increased the precision of LIBS under high temperature by protecting optics using a gas protective layer and correcting for shotto-shot variance and lens-to-sample distance using a laser-induced acoustic signal. This study investigates cerium as a surrogate for uranium and corrosion products for simulating corrosive environments in LiCleKCl. While the un-corrected limit of detection (LOD) range is 425e513 ppm, the acousticcorrected LOD range is 360e397 ppm. The typical cerium concentrations in pyroprocessing are about two orders of magnitude higher than the LOD found in this study. A LIBS monitoring system that adopts these methods could have a significant impact on the ability to monitor and provide early detection of the transient behavior of salt composition in advanced molten salt-based nuclear reactors.

Wind tower structure has relatively simple shape compared to other structures, but due to its characteristics, various and irregular environmental loads are applied. These loads cause vibrations at tower, and can cause failure of the structure if over vibration occurs. Vibration occurred at structures is gradually exhausted by damping of the structures, and if high damping is ensured, the failure of the structure due to over vibration can be prevented. In this study, the vibration reduction effects are to be analyzed through FEM analysis by examining the top displacement, bottom moment, and bottom fatigue damage of the structure depending on damping ratio of the wind tower structure.
