Molecular chaperones and folding enzymes in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) associate with the newly synthesized proteins to prevent their aggregation and help them fold and assemble correctly. Chaperone function of BiP, which is a Hsp70 homologue in ER, is controlled by the N-terminal ATPase domain. The ATPase activity of the ATPase domain is affected by regulatory factors. BAP was identified as a nucleotide exchange factor of BiP (Grp78), which exchanges ADP with ATP in the ATPase domain of BiP This study presents whether BAP can influence folding of a protein, immunoglobulin heavy chain that is bound to BiP tightly. We first examined which nucleotide of ADP and ATP affects on BAP binding to BiP The data showed that endogenous BAP of HEK293 cells prefers ADP for binding to BiP in vitro, suggesting that BAP first releases ADP from the ATPase domain in order to exchange with ATP. Immunoglobulin heavy chain, an unfolded protein substrate, was released from BiP in the presence of BAP but not in the presence of ERdj3, which is another regulatory factor for BiP accelerating the rate of ATP hydrolysis of BiP The ADP-releasing function of BAP was, therefore, believed to be responsible for immunoglobulin heavy chain release from BiP. Grp170, another Hsp70 homologue in ER, did not co-precipited with BAP from $[^{35}S]$-metabolic labeled HEK293 lysate containing both overexpressed Grp170 and BAP. These data suggested that BAP has no specificity to Grp170 although the ATPase domains of Grp170 and BiP are homologous each other.

With the aim to develop the monitoring technology on background atmosphere and climate change over Korean Peninsula, observations and studies on chemical, physical and optical properties of the atmospheric aerosols are made. Aerosol number concentration are measured with Optical Particle Counter from 2001 to 2003 at Gosan for 8 size intervals from 0.3 to $25{\mu}m$ diameter range. For the seasonal variation, the number concentration of coarse particles in spring at Gosan was higher than other seasons due to the influence of sand storm in spring. There is no significant correlations between fine particles ($0.3{\sim}0.5{\mu}m$) and meteorological parameters, such as relative humidity, wind speed and visual range, while the correlation between the number concentration of small particles ($0.5{\sim}2.23{\mu}m$) and relative humidity showed a positive value. This trend was inversed for the case of wind speed: aerosol number concentration showed a small decreasing tendency with increasing wind speed for small particles but the high wind speed in winter season increased coarse particle concentration. Finally, Particles most efficient in light extinction were found to be at the size of about $0.5{\sim}1{\mu}m$.

This study is to compare and analyze ‘the Korean energy saving design standard in building’ with ‘the passivehouse standard of PHI’ in Germany in using of energy efficient factors which have an effect on reducing energy demand in building. We used following architectural design method for energy efficiency : direction, south oriented window-wall ratio, insulation, glazing, frame, heat recovery, external blind, airtightness, thermal mass, ect. We set a base model and analyzed annual energy demand, heating&cooling demand through energy-simulation according to each standard above by energy efficient elements. Consequently, ‘the passivehouse standard of PHI’ is more effective on reducing energy use than ‘the Korean energy saving design standard in building’. Also, this study found energy efficiency rate for heating demand by elements and it is as in the following : Window(37.92%) > Heat recovery(27.87%) > Insulation(25.23%) > Airtightness(5.49%) > Internal/External Insulation(4.42%) > Thermal mass(3.99%) > South oriented window-wall ratio(0.29%) > External blind(0%). And we found that the external blind(56.2%) takes a key role in reducing cooling demand. Through this study, we discovered energy reducing rate by energy efficiency factors in building and with this result, we are expecting to make energy efficiency design standard for the improvement of the high energy-use detached house.
생활 및 두발관리 습관과 두피 및 모발상태 -미국과 한국의 일정지역 여고생 중심으로-

In this study, we compared daily (diet, exercise, smoking, drinking et al.) and hair care habits and the condition of scalp and hair focusing Korean and American high school girls whose social background and culture were different from each other. Through this study we intended to provide practical and useful information on scalp and hair care for teenagers. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 118 Korean and 98 white American high school girls. We carried out t-test, frequency analysis, and one-way ANOVA for the data analysis. Korean high school girls showed more irregular daily habits than American girls and Korean girls also had less vegetables, fruits, and water in their diet than American girls. Both groups did not eat enough fish like anchovy, sea weed but they had much of instant food instead of real food. Korean high school girls exhibited more oily scalps and American girls had more normal scalps. Korean girls showed more damaged hair due to hot permanent wave, so their hair showed more hair break off and spilt ends. Korean high school girls worried about damaged hair, oily scalp, hair losss and no shine hair for their hair care. On the other hand American girls more worried about dandruff and hair break trouble due to thin hair. American high school girls showed more tied hair than Korean girls and they dried well their hair after shampooing. American high school girls used less hot curlers and hair dryer but they consumed more hair wax and hair spray goods than Korean girls did. Futhermore American high school girls used more hair treatment goods to have their hair shiny and glossy. However, American high school girls paid more attention to the instruction and caution note on the hair treatment goods after purchasing.
비건뷰티 동향 및 소비자 인식조사를 위한 비정형 데이터 분석 연구

This study used unstructured data to analyze the various factors and relationships that influence consumers’ perception and behavior on vegan beauty, and predicted the future prospects of vegan beauty. The analysis results are as follows: First, in the keyword analysis related to vegan beauty, clean beauty and beebeuty appeared as the top main words, and cosmetics, ampoule, skin, double cream, animal raw material experiment, dalba, raw material use, etc. were followed. Second, as a result of performing TF-IDF analysis, ampoule, clean beauty, double cream, dalba, collagen, beebeuty, animal raw material experiment, and cosmetics appeared in order. Third, as a result of analyzing 50 keywords related to vegan beauty through centrality analysis and semantic network analysis, clean beauty, beebeuty, cosmetics, double cream, recommendation, ampoule, skin, animal raw material experiment, and dalba showed the most influence, and in the eigenvector centrality analysis, clean beauty, beebeuty, cosmetics, and double cream showed high values in order. Fourth, as a result of grouping 50 keywords related to vegan beauty derived through CONCOR analysis, the first group was keywords related to the attributes of vegan beauty, the second group was keywords related to vegan beauty products, the third group was keywords related to vegan beauty marketing, and the fourth group was keywords related to beauty care. Through these analysis results, we present the current situation and future possibilities of vegan beauty, and hope that it will help strengthen the competitiveness of vegan beauty brands and establish marketing strategies for vegan beauty brands.
그림상징 반응카드의 사용에 장애아동의 수업참여행동과 문제행동에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of pictorial preprinted response cards on the task engagement and problem behavior of three elementary-aged students with disabilities. The current study occurred during a group activity in a resource room with three students with disabilities who had limited verbal abilities and low task engagement level. Multiple probe baseline design across subjects are used and the frequency of children`s response rate, task engagement and problem behavior rate is measured. During all conditions, the instructor asked 8 questions each session. In the baseline conditions, the teacher called on one student who raised his or her hand to answer the question while in the intervention conditions, students responded by showing one`s pictorial preprinted response cards. The results obtained from this study are as follows: Firstly, the pictorial preprinted response card intervention resulted in significant increase in task engagement for all three students, Secondly, the pictorial preprinted response card intervention in substantial reduction in problem behavior for all three students. Thirdly, the effect of the pictorial preprinted response card intervention was generalized in a different class activity. Lastly, the effect of the pictorial preprinted response card intervention was maintained after withdrawal of intervention. Results mentioned above indicated that the use of pictorial preprinted response card is beneficial method to be implemented in the class for including students with severe disabilities and encouraging their active participation.
네일아트 디자인 창작을 위한 딥러닝 기반 이미지 제너레이터 활용에 관한 연구: 물고기 비늘의 색상과 무늬를 중심으로

This study aimed to develop nail art designs inspired by the colors and patterns of fish scales. Various images of fish were collected, and the colors, patterns, and textures of their scales were analyzed. Using deep learning-based image generator, designs replicating the colors and patterns of fish scales were created. Based on these designs, five nail art works were produced. The colors and patterns of fish scales are suitable for creative nail art designs, and designs inspired by fish scales demonstrate excellent visual effects due to the appropriate application of principles of form and expression techniques. Moreover, nail art designs inspired by fish scales can enhance the artistry and distinctiveness of nail art. This research highlights the potential of using fish scale colors and patterns in nail art design and represents a novel approach to using deep learning-based image generators as creative tools in nail art design. However, the nail art works produced in this study were limited and reliant on subjective evaluations. Future research should apply diverse evaluation methods to measure the quality and satisfaction of nail art designs and expand the study to include nail art designs using other natural materials besides fish scales.
