Objectives: This study was to investigate fear of falling and related factors in elderly living alone based on fall experience. Methods: Participants were 404 elderly women(faller=148, non-faller=256) over 65 years who were homebound living alone in Jeollanam-do Province. Face-to-face interviews were conducted using questionnaires from April 23th to June 9th 2013. The questionnaires consisted of demographic variables, fall experience, Fear of falling questionnaire(FOFQ), Falls Efficacy Scale(FES) and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression(CES-D). The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS version 14.0. Results: The fear of falling and the influential factors were different according to fall experience. Regression model for fear of falling in fallers significantly accounted for 46.1%(F=6.71, p<0.001); difficulty of performing activity, depression, fall-efficacy, static balance and assistive devices. Regression model for fear of falling in non-fallers significantly accounted for 55.2%(F=15.16, p<0.001); fall-efficacy, environmental hazards, difficulty of performing activity, risk of nutrition, housing type, dizziness and assistive devices. Conclusion: Results demonstrate that fall is an important health problem for elderly women living alone, and show fall experience for factors influencing fear of falling. These results could be used in the developing fall prevention programs.

This study aims to examine how blockchain technology is currently being applied in various fields, as well as the methods and limitations involved in constructing blockchain, and to gauge the potential future of blockchain technology. The success or realization of the technology’s applications will depend on how quickly certain technical challenges can be overcome. This paper emphasizes that with the advancement of blockchain technology, when transparency and reliability are improved, it will become a significant force in changing not only the industrial sector but also the economic and political domains. Even if the problem aware ness demonstrated by blockchain technology cannot be the most effective solution for solving real-world problems, the framework it presents will provide a significant window for us to understand the problems we face in reality.

IoT 기반의 효율적인 스마트도서관 자원 관리 시스템 개발

In this study, we constructed a system to operating and manage the resources of the Smart Library Reading Room automatically using the Internet of things. The persistent problem of smart library or unattended library is electric energy waste and efficient seat management. The electricity and seat layout management method of the existing library reading room is being treated as concentrated management in the central system. However, this approach results in wasting electricity and seats do not provide a fair opportunity for each user. In this study, IoT sensor was used to turn off electricity and empty seat for about 20 minutes, so that it could be marked as vacant and managed efficiently, so that opportunities for seats were evenly maintained. In the future, we will improve this and construct a model in the reading room of actual village library or school library, and analyze and reflect the result.

기존의 모든 인터넷 기반 서비스는 중앙의 서버와 이것으로 연결되는 클라이언트로 구성되는 동시에 서로 구분되었다. 이런 서비스 형태를 ‘중앙집중형 네트워크’라고 부른다. 이 ‘중앙집중형 네트워크’가 보여주는 형식은 인터넷 네트워크에만 적용되거나 작용한 것이 아니라, 지난 수 천 년 동안 인간과 관련된 모든 영역에 적용되며, 사람을 협력하게 만들고 조직화한 하나의 방식이다. ‘블록체인 기술’은 이러한 ‘중앙집중형 네트워크’의 해체, 곧 ‘탈중앙’을 지향한다. 바로 이 지향에서 ‘블록체인 기술’이 단순히 과학이나 산업 영역의 혁신적인 기술에 불과한 것이 아니라, 하나의 정치・사회적인 기술이라는 사실이 확인된다. ‘블록체인 기술’에 대한 인문학적 관심 역시 바로 이것을 토대로 한다. 이 논문의 관심은 일차적으로 ‘블록체인 기술’의 등장과 그 지향이 인문학적 문제의식과 별개의 것이 아니라 서로 깊이 연결된다는 점을 확인하는 것, 둘째로 이 기술이 함축하고 있는 인문학적 의미를 분석하는 두 가지 측면에 집중되어 있다. 따라서 우리의 논의는 먼저 ‘중앙’이 만들어지는 과정에 대한 이해에서 출발해 ‘블록체인 기술’이 보여주고 있는 ‘탈중앙’의 지향이 단순한 기술적 산물이 아니라, 깊은 인문학적 문제의식과 연결되어 있다는 점을 확인한다. 그것을 이어 ‘탈중앙’의 지향을 보여주는 ‘블록체인 기술’이 등장하는 배경과 그 기술자체에 대한 이해를 거쳐, ‘탈중앙과 그 기술적 가능성의 제시’, ‘조직화 방식의 변화’와 ‘개인의 위상 변화’라는 세 가지 측면에서 이 기술의 인문학적 의미를 분석하고 있다. All the current Internet-based services consist of a central server and clients that are connected to the server and distinguished from one another. This type of service is called a ‘centralized network’. The form of is not only applied to the Internet, but is applicable to all areas related to humans that have existed for thousands of years, and has been used as a way of collaborating and organizing people. Blockchain technology aims to demolish this centralized network through decentralization. In this sense, blockchain technology is not just an innovative scientific or industrial technology, but it identifies itself as a political and social technology. The humanistic interest in blockchain technology is based on this observation. This paper focuses on the two aspects of blockchain technology. First, this paper demonstrates that the emergence and orientation of the blockchain technology is not separate from the humanistic critical mind, but they are deeply interconnected. Second, this paper analyzes the humanistic implications of the blockchain technology. Therefore, our discussion first explains the process of creating ‘centrality’ and confirms that the decentralization of the blockchain technology is not just a simple technical outcome, but is connected to a deep humanistic problem. Then, based on understanding of the background of blockchain technology oriented to decentralization and the technology itself, the humanistic implications of this technology are analyzed in three aspects: ‘presentation of decentralization and its technical possibilities’, ‘change of organization method,’ and ‘change of the status of individuals.’
