Clopidogrel is a prodrug that is converted in the liver to an active thiol metabolite, which irreversibly inhibits the platelet P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate receptor. This mechanism requires cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP 2C19) enzyme. Proton pump inhibitors(PPIs) competes against CYP 2C19 and inhibits the conversion of clopidogrel into its active metabolite, therefore, clopidogrel-PPIs drugs interaction may exist. These interactions could result in competitive inhibition decreasing the conversion of the clopidogrel pro-drug to the active metabolite and could potentially translate into an increased risk for cardiovascular events by inadequate platelet P2Y12 receptor inhibition. Many studies including retrospective cohort studies and studies using platelet function tests demonstrated the possible interactions between clopidogrel and PPIs leading to a decrease in the antiplatelet efficacy of clopidogrel and worse cardiovascular clinical outcomes than clopidogrel alone. In contrast, few comparative trials using clinical outcomes found no serious drug interactions between them. In this review, we introduce possible harmful effects of combined use of clopidogrel and PPIs on platelet function. In addition, we suggest how to overcome clopidogrel-PPIs interactions. The Commission for Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) is utilized to manage krill resources using acoustic data collection and a scientific observer program operating on the fishing boats. However, the acoustic data were contained seriously noise, example of background, spike, and intermittent noise, due to purpose of fish boats. In this study, the noise removal techniques were confirmed the potential of the acoustic data analysis. Acoustic system and frequency used in the survey were commercial echosounder (ES70, SIMRAD) and 200 kHz split beam transducer. Acoustic data were analyzed using Echoview software (Myriax), and general data analysis and new noise removal method was used. Although a variety of noise, most of the noises have been removed using the noise removal processing. We confirmed the possibility of analyzing the acoustic data obtained from fish boats. The results will be useful for analysis of the acoustic data acquired from krill fishing boats.
음향 실험 및 모델 기법을 이용한 도루묵 (Arctoscopus japonicus)의 음향산란반사강도 특성

Acoustic target strength (TS) measurement and theoretical acoustic scattering models were applied to estimate the TS for assessing the fish biomass. TS measurement was made of ex situ sailfin sandfish Arctoscopus japonicus at 70 and 120 kHz, and then compared to backscatter model prediction. The live sandfish was tethered in seawater using monofilament lines. Measurements were made versus incidence angle, -50° to 50° relative to dorsal aspect directions. Distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) model was used to calculated TS pattern. The TS values of sandfish (body length: 16.2 cm) at 70 and 120 kHz were -66.94 dB and -64.45 dB, respectively, and were about 20 dB lower than TS of other fishes in Korea waters. These TS levels were distributed within the range of the theoretical TS. Ex situ measurement and theoretical TS may be applied to improve acoustical detection and biomass estimation of the sandfish, and is necessary to measure with various lengths.

Fish exportation using airplanes incurs sizable logistics costs (12,000KRW/kg), according for more than 45% out of the total export cost. Thus, it is unreasonable to quantitatively expand fish exportation by means of air transport. In addition, cases of failing to deliver fish at the right time to the right place occurs frequently due to the limited cargo capacity and insufficient cargo space of airplanes, especially during the peak season. Therefor, a technology that not only minimizes the logistics costs but also transports fish freshly and safely, in the case of long distance exportation to countries such as the United States and Taiwan, should be developed. In this study, a live fish container control system for long distance transportation was designed and implemented. Live flatfish (2,000kg) were selected as the target fish, were transported to the United States to analyze and verify the performance of the a live fish container control system and transportation ability.
[응용논문] 고속열차 교행시 압력파 특성 및 차량 실내·외 압력변동에 관한 수치적 연구

A three-dimensional transient numerical study is conducted in order to assess the pressure wave characteristics and the inside/outside pressure variation of two high-speed trains passing by each other, as well as to evaluate the aural discomfort of the passenger by comparing the numerical results and the safety criterion of domestic trains. Dynamic mesh technique and smooth starting method are applied to simulate the dynamic motion of the high-speed trains. When two high-speed trains pass by each other in the tunnel, complicated pressure wave interactions within the tunnel occur due to the pressure waves of the opposite train. Rapid pressure variations on the internal and external surface of the trains are caused by these pressure wave interactions, thus resulting in the aural discomfort of passengers and the steep lateral force variations acting on the trains. Numerical results show that the internal maximum pressure variations when two trains pass by each other in the tunnel meet the safety criterion of domestic trains, and increase 1.5 to 2 times than that when one train runs in the tunnel. Furthermore, the present numerical prediction offers more detailed insights on designing high-speed trains and improving the passenger aural comfort.
고속열차 교행시 차량 실내 · 외 압력변동에 관한 수치적 연구

A three-dimensional unsteady computational study is performed to assess the inside and outside pressure variation of two high-speed trains passing by each other, and to estimate the aural discomfort of the passenger through comparisons between the computed results and the safety criterion of domestic trains. The dynamic mesh technique and the smooth starting approach are adopted to simulate the transient vehicle movement. During passing by each other in the tunnel, complex pressure wave interactions within the tunnel occur due to the pressure waves by the opposite train. It leads to the rapid pressure variation on the internal and external surface of vehicle, and finally results in the aural discomfort of the passengers. Computed results show that the internal maximum pressure variations during passing by each other in the tunnel meet the safety criterion of vehicle. In addition, the internal maximum pressure variation when two trains pass by each other in the tunnel increase 1.5 to 2 times more than that when one train travels in the tunnel.

This study aims to estimate the species, size and shape of fish using a non-contact 3 dimensional pattern laser so that this preliminary test was carried out to understand the structural feature and length of goldfish according to water turbidity and depth in the aquacultural tank. 3-D pattern laser could clearly detect its morphological shape except the caudal fin due to soft tissue. Since the sensing strength of line laser light according to depth has sufficient power, it is possible to measure its depth and structural feature in the detected range. The result showed that the measured error of individual`s fork length was less than ±1% in the water using 3-D pattern laser, when compared with the measured value in the air.

This study investigated luring distributions by water layer of common squid which were targeted by angling fishing vessels equipped with LED and metal-halide lamps using a scientific echosounder with a 120 kHz frequency in order to develop energy-effective underwater fish aggregation devices. In the analysis, angles of a transducer were changed from 0° to 45° and were rotated every 10° horizontally. It was shown that common squid were densely distributed from the surface to 40 m and they were also distributed in directions of 10°∼+30°, -30°∼-60°, and -120°∼-130°with the head of vessel as the center. Comparative results of angles of transducer on acoustical densities of common squid distributing in 21~40 m water depth showed an average 101.8 m2/nm2 in vertical direction of 0°, 12.3 m2/nm2 in angle of 30°, and 42.4 m2/nm2 in angle of 45°, respectively. It implied that more considerations on acoustic scattering strength by incidence angle direction of the transducer and swimming oriental angle direction of common squid would be required.

The coastal stow net (stow net hereafter) in Korea is one of the major fishing methods for yellow croaker (Larimichthys polyactis), ribbon fish (Trichiurus lepturus), and anchovy (Engraulis japonicus). In terms of energy efficiency, the stow net fishery is more competitive than towing fishing gears such as trawl gears. The fishing vessels in stow net fishery have consumed less fossil fuel and also have had less carbon dioxide emission into the atmosphere. however, the stow net fishery is necessary to be regulated due to its increased output of the fleet. Therefore, it is required for fisheries authorities to manage the fishing capacity or fishing power for the assurance of fishery’s sustainability. For fisheries management authorities, it is necessary to quantify data related to fishing capacity and fishing power to deploy fishery policy in a sustainable way. In terms of data for decision-making, Data envelopment analysis (DEA) method was conducted to estimate fishing capacity. Fishing power index (FPI) was also applied to calculate relative fishing power to approach the problem in a quantitative way.
소형 가스사이클론 집진장치를 이용한 PM 전처리 시스템의 유동 가시화

This study is aimed to design the mechanical gascyclone precipitator with an outstanding collection efficiency as one of ways to reduce exhaust gas of small-scale vessels. It estimated fine particles generated from diesel engines which has become one of the biggest environmental issues currently. Specifically, it quantitatively analyzed the flowing process from the cyclone gas exit; a duct via part to the collecting part of Cylindrical lower using DPIV (Digital Particle Image Velocimetry). Since the gas inlet height part became wider the previous theoretical dimensions, internal fluid characteristics of cyclone where the speed of internal swirl had been slow were investigated by temporary streamline of fine particles at 14-20 ㎛. The results showed that collecting efficiency was three times higher than the conical type utilized previously. In addition, this study supplemented imprecision problems from the previous theoretical equation and CFD interpretation with an experimental method. It also provided a basic data to design the cyclone precipitator by size of diesel engines for vessels.
