Vol.8 No.1

Agricultural mechanization has created conditions for high productivity in spite of declining rural labor force due to industrialization. These farming systems are funded by the government, but they are limited to a certain extent, so farmers also invest a considerable amount of capital to purchase agricultural machinery. Especially in the case of a tractor, the economic loss is expected to be a heavy burden for the farmers if the use period is more than 10 years and a fire occurs and disappears. This study focuses on the actual use of the control board of the tractor, Specific phenomena depending on the type of combustion observed at the fire scene, and Experiments were conducted to reproduce the judgment of the ignition area to prove the possibility of ignition. Experiments were conducted to reproduce the judgment of the ignition region, thereby proving the possibility of ignition, I would like to present sufficient evidence on the cause of fire cause of old tractor.

This paper reproduces the possibility of accidents and electric fires in the magnetic contactor(MC) of the control panel installed for the temperature control of the freezing warehouse, the low temperature warehouse and the storage. In addition, I would like to present a method for analyzing the characteristics and causes of accidents that occur due to an under voltage applied to a MC or an abnormal operation due to a foreign substance being interrupted. The inside of the control panel is composed of a molded-case circuit breaker(MCCB), a magnetic contactor(MC), a timer, and a terminal board. The MC for compressor and the MC for compressor control are designed to operate sequentially. The deterioration of the MC is caused by undervoltage and overvoltage, physical shock or vibration, inflow of foreign substances such as cockroaches and insects, formation of water or moisture. In other words, the inflow of foreign matter breaks the balance of the electromagnetic field of the MC and interferes with the formation of the magnetic path, so that heat and vibration are continuously generated and the function of the contact point is deteriorated. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the ignition mechanism of MC and use it as fire detection data for the control panel for the refrigeration warehouse.

Vol.14 No.1

The molten marks of electrical wiring found at the fire site can be helpful in inferring the cause of the fire and the ignition point, and it is a very important piece of evidence. However, in the fire department, there are few cases of quantitative analysis and study on the texture of molten marks. In this study, based on the ASTM E1382 standard, using an analysis program called iSolution DT, the image taken with an electron microscope is analyzed and quantitatively determined. In a energized state, the electric wiring was short-circuited at 25°C and 600°C to form molten marks. The primary melt scar shorted at 25°C showed a small columnar structure major axis ratio (GAR), and the secondary melt scar shorted at 600°C showed a large major axis ratio (GAR). As a result, it will be very helpful in quantitatively classifying primary and secondary melt traces using isolution DT.

Vol.34 No.3

Most outlet fires occur around plug pins and plug pin receivers. However, no research has been conducted on ignitionsat power connection points. This study confirms the possibility of ignition after incomplete connection, using a strandedwire, to the power connection point of an outlet. The experiment was divided into basic and reproducing experiments. Thebasic experiment confirmed the possibility of ignition according to the number of wire strands connected to the powerconnection point, and it identified the characteristics of the residue after the fire. In the reproducing experiment, lamps, vacuum cleaners, and heaters were connected to an outlet to check if the ignition at the connection advanced into a fire. The fire advanced due to the heat and arc generated at the connection point, and partial losses were identified in the U-typeholder and clip. Accordingly, the results demonstrate that a fire may occur when the stranded wire is incompletelyconnected to the outlet. Moreover, it was confirmed that the cause of a fire can be determined based on the characteristicsof the residue.
