        대학병원 간호사의 직무 스트레스 및 사회심리적 요인과 정신건강과의 관련성

        Objectives: The present study was intended to assess the mental health of nurses working for university hospitals and to establish which factors determine their mental health. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were given to 1,486 nurses employed in six participating hospitals located in Daejeon City and Chungnam Province between July 1 st and August 31st, 2006. The questionnaire items included sociodemographic, job-related, and psychosocial factors, with job stress factors (JCQ) as independent variables and indices of mental health status (PWI, SDS and MFS) as dependent variables. For statistical analysis, the Chi-square test was used for categorical variables, with hierarchical multiple regression used for determining the factors effecting mental health. The influence of psychosocial and job-related factors on mental health status was assessed by covariance structure analysis. The statistical significance was set at p<0.05. Results: The factors influencing mental health status among subject nurses included sociodemographic characteristics such as age, number of hours of sleep, number of hours of leisure, and subjective health status; job-related characteristics such as status, job satisfaction, job suitability, stresses such as demands of the job, autonomy, and coworker support; and psychosocial factors such as self-esteem, locus of control and type A behavior patterns. Psychosocial factors had the greatest impact on mental health. Covariance structure analysis determined that psychosocial factors affected job stress levels and mental health status, and that the lower job stress levels were associated with better mental health. Conclusions: Based on the study results, improvement of mental health status among nurses requires the development and application of programs to manage job stress factors and/or psychosocial factors as well as sociodemographic and job-related characteristics.

        한국 학생들의 영어 작문에 나타난 생산적 어휘에 관한 분석

        Vocabulary use can be an important indicator of writing quality. With the importance of vocabulary use in writing, various measures have been used to evaluate productive vocabulary. Among them is Lexical Frequency Profile (LFP), which classifies the words of writing into four frequency levels and thus provides more detailed information about vocabulary use depending on the writer's proficiency. There has been, however, a lack of research on LFP, thus revealing contradicting results among studies. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to examine the characteristics of LFP in Korean learners' productive vocabulary use by considering variables such as different topics, multiple writing drafts, and timed/untimed writing. The results revealed that unlike the argument in the literature, LFP was influenced by different topics, while LFP in multiple drafts and timed writing revealed the similar patterns shown in the literature. Implications for teaching vocabulary in writing class are also discussed.

        노년기 우울증에 대한 구조적 인생회고(Structured Life Review) 프로그램의 효과성 연구

        본 연구는 구조적 인생회고(Structured Life Review) 프로그램을 우리나라 노인에 적용하여 그 효과성을 평가하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 구조적 인생회고 프로그램은 인생회고의 개념과 접근을 Erikson의 생애발달단계에 적용하여 각 단계별로 인생회고를 체계적으로 실시하는 접근법이다. 춘천시에 거주하는 65세 이상 독거노인을 대상으로 우울증 스크리닝 검사(PHQ-9)를 실시하여 중간정도(10-19점)의 우울증을 지니고 있으며, 연구 참여에 동의한 노인을 선별하여 무작위로 실험집단(25명)과 통제집단(24명)에 배치하였다. 훈련된 전문진행요원이 가정을 방문하여 주 1회씩 총 8회에 걸쳐 프로그램을 실시하였으며, KGDS척도를 활용하여 사전, 사후, 그리고 종결 3개월 후 추후조사를 통해 우울증의 변화 정도를 측정하였다. 연구결과, 실험집단에서는 프로그램 실시 후 사후조사와 추후조사에서 우울정도가 유의미하게 감소하여 구조적 인생회고 프로그램이 우울증 감소에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 통제집단에서는 사후조사와 추후조사에서 유의미한 변화가 일어나지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인 우울증을 감소하는 유용한 개입방법으로 구조적 인생회고 프로그램의 적용을 제안하였다. This study examined the effectiveness of Structured Life Review for depression of the Korean older persons. The programs and manual were developed along the lines suggested in Handbook of Structured Life Review by Haight and Haight (1997) and twelve social work graduate students were trained as therapeutic listeners. A total of 150 older persons living alone in Chuncheon were randomly selected and screened by PHQ-9. 49 older persons who had depression at middle level and voluntarily agreed to participate in this study were selected and randomly assigned into experimental group (n=25) and control group (n=24). The therapeutic listeners visited older persons (life reviewers)` homes and lead eight life review sessions using questions of Life Review Form. Results show that the level of depression of the experimental group has been significantly decreased among pre, post, and follow-up measures while no significant change was found in control group. The Structured Life Review was proved effective to decrease depression among Korean older persons. This result suggests that the Structured Life Review has a potential to be adopted as an ntervention to decrease depression in elderly in the community.

        개정 중학교 영어교과서에 쓰인 구어 장르 텍스트에 대한 다차원 분석

        Several researchers have employed corpus findings to critically examine English textbooks, but few investigations have attempted to differentiate registers or genres in the analysis of the textbooks. The purpose of the study was to illuminate characteristics of oral genres in the revised English textbooks and further suggest an analytic framework for the genres by use of Biber’s corpus-based multi-dimensional model. The results of the study showed that the uses of linguistic features in the textbook oral corpus were not comparable with the oral functions of the language in the native corpus in terms of the six textual dimensions. That is, the oral genres in the textbooks did not adequately represent the aspects of oralness in the native corpus, indicating that the language used in the textbook tended to show a more written style of language. Then the students’ learning based on the textbooks might lead to their uses of bookish English and give them a double burden to learn real English again outside the school. The study can provide important insights into the evaluation and development of future textbooks.

        노인의 온라인 사회관계가 우울에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 노인의 온라인 사회관계가 우울에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 서울 소재 복지관 2곳의 정보화교육프로그램(컴퓨터 기초반, 스마트폰반, 인터넷반)에 참여한 60세 이상 노인 총 144명을 대상으로 설문조사결과를 분석하였다. Williams(2006)의 사회자본척도(On and Off the ‘Net’ Scales for Social Capital in an Online Era)를 사용해 노인의 온라인 사회관계를 측정하였으며, 온라인 사회관계가 우울에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 인구사회학적 변수, 건강관련 변수, 스트레스 변수를 모두 통제한 상태에서도 온라인 결속형 사회관계는 노인의 우울에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 지역 내 온라인 결속형 사회관계 강화 프로그램이 필요하며, IT교육 프로그램을 통해 온라인 결속형 사회관계를 강화시키는 것이 노인의 우울감소에 도움이 됨을 시사하고 있다. This study examined the importance of social capital in facilitating older adults’ learning and adaptation of information technology as well as alleviating depressive symptoms. At two senior community centers in South Korea, 144 adults aged 60 and older were recruited to participate in 12 week-long technology classes to learn computers, smart phone, and internet skills. At the baseline interviews were conducted to assess their health status, depression, and online social relationships. Online and offline social capital (bonding vs. bridging) was assessed (Williams, 2006). Four-step Hierarchical Linear Regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects of online social relationship on depression. Findings suggested that depressive symptoms were associated with being widowed, being unemployed, and perceiving poor health status. Adding social capital variables in the final step, older adults who perceived less stressors, greater level of subjective health and high online bonding capitals had less depressive symptoms. Only online social bonding was significant in alleviating depression. This final model explained 48% of the variance. Computer/Internet training for older adults need to consider the significant role bonding social capital can play. The findings of this pilot study provided a preliminary base of knowledge about acceptable community-based interventions for older adults.

        팀기반학습으로 운영된 유아동작 모의수업 경험에 대한 의미연결망 분석

        목적 이 연구는 팀기반학습(TBL)으로 운영한 유아동작교육에 참여한 예비유아교사들이 작성한 수업성찰 자료를 분석하여 TBL이 유아동작교육에 어떤 의미와 영향을 주는 가를 살펴본 것이다. 방법 연구대상은 G시 소재 4년제 유아교육과에서 동작교육 수업을 수강한 45명의 학생이며, 동작교육은 모의수업 설계 및 시연으로 이루어졌고, 이러한 과정은 TBL로 운영되었다. 학습자들은 한 학기 수업이 끝난 후 동작교육에서의 TBL과 모의수업에 대한 자기성찰 자료를 작성하였고, 이 자료의 질적자료를 KrKwic과 UCINET을 이용하여 주제어를 추출하고, 중심성 및 의미연결망을 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, TBL 활동과 모의수업 경험에서 ‘계획안’, ‘활동’, ‘동작’, ‘수업’, ‘유아’, ‘모의수업’, ‘피드백’, ‘흥미’가 공통주제어로 나타났다. 둘째, TBL 활동에는 ‘시간’, ‘팀원’, ‘모둠’, ‘의견’, ‘적극적’, ‘어려움’, ‘부분’, ‘자료’, ‘표현’, ‘연습’, ‘수정’, ‘활용’이 주제어로 나타났다. TBL 활동의 의미연결망 구조는 모의수업과 TBL 활동 경험에 대한 의미구조로 파악되었다. 셋째, 모의수업 경험에는 ‘교사’, ‘생각’, ‘진행’, ‘경험’, ‘현장’, ‘도움’, ‘적용’, ‘방법’, ‘과정’, ‘규칙’, ‘개선’, ‘시범’이 주제어로 나타났다. ‘교사’는 연결링크수, 연결정도중심성, 근접중심성, 매개중심성이 모두 높게 나타났으며, ‘진행’, ‘경험’, ‘적용’의 근접중심성은 높았으나 매개중심성은 낮게 나타났다. 의미연결망 구조는 모의수업 준비과정과 모의수업을 통해 배우고 적용하게 된 효과성의 의미구조로 나타났다. 결론 TBL로 운영한 유아동작 모의수업 경험 의미연결망 분석에서 예비유아교사들이 TBL 활동과 모의수업 경험을 중요하게 인식하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 예비유아교사의 교수역량 함양을 위한 학습자 참여수업의 필요성을 시사한다. Objectives This study examined the meaning and impact of team-based learning (TBL) on early childhood movement education by analyzing the reflective materials on teaching practices written by prospective early childhood teachers participating in TBL. Methods The participants of this study were 45 students enrolled in a 4-year early childhood education program in G City. The movement education class they took involved the design and demonstration of simulated lessons, which were conducted using the Team-Based Learning (TBL) approach. After completing a semester of classes, the learners wrote self-reflection materials on TBL and simulated lessons in the context of movement education. The qualitative data from these materials were analyzed using KrKwic and UCINET to extract keywords and perform centrality and semantic network analysis. Results Firstly, the common theme keywords that emerged from the TBL activities and simulated teaching demonstration experiences were ‘lesson plan’, ‘activity’, ‘movement’, ‘class’, ‘children’, ‘simulated teaching’, ‘feedback’, and ‘interest’. Secondly, the keywords associated with TBL activities included ‘time’, ‘team members’, ‘groups’, ‘opinions’, ‘active participation’, ‘challenges’, ‘parts’, ‘materials’, ‘expression’, ‘practice’, ‘modification’, and ‘utilization’. The semantic network analysis of TBL activities revealed a meaningful structure related to simulated teaching and the experiences of TBL activities. Thirdly, the keywords identified in relation to simulated teaching experiences were ‘teacher’, ‘thoughts’, ‘progress’, ‘experience’, ‘field’, ‘assistance’, ‘application’, ‘methods’, ‘process’, ‘rules’, ‘improvement’, and ‘demonstration’. The keyword ‘teacher’ showed high values in terms of linkages, degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality. The proximity centrality of ‘progress’, ‘experience’, and ‘application’ was high, while the betweenness centrality was low. The semantic network structure reflected the effectiveness of learning and application through the preparation and implementation phases of simulated teaching. Conclusions The semantic network analysis of early childhood movement education simulated teaching experiences conducted through TBL revealed that prospective early childhood educators perceive TBL activities and simulated teaching experiences as highly significant. These findings underscore the importance of learner-engaged instructional approaches in enhancing the teaching competencies of prospective early childhood educators.

        뇌졸중 노인 부양가족의 부양부담과 우울에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구

        This study examined factors associated with family caregivers` burden and depression to elderly with stroke. The model proposed for this analysis draws upon the stress model presented by Pearlin, Mullan, Semple, and Skaff. 199 family caregivers living with the elderly suffering from stroke composed the sample. Multiple regression analyses demonstrated that the level of ADL dependencies of the elderly and the period of care are important determinants to caregivers` burden and depression. In terms of contextual variables, family income, caregivers` relation to elderly, level of education, health status, employment, and the number of family members living together influence significantly to caregivers` burden and depression. Among three types of social support, emotional support appears to be the most important in diminishing the caregivers` burden and depression. These findings have several implications for policy development, clinical practice, and future research in this area.

        사회적 지원이 가족의 부양부담과 우울에 미치는 영향 - 심신기능손상 노인가족을 중심으로 -

        This study examined the impact of social support on the family caregivers` burden and depression - if and which types of social support affect the caregiving experience. The relationships between four types of social support and five dimensions of caregiver burden and depression were assessed. 311 family caregivers to frail elders composed the sample. Multiple regression analyses demonstrated that all types of social support for caregivers of frail elders are not equal. Emotional support appears to be the most important in diminishing the caregivers` burden (feelings of abandonment, impact on schedule, impact on health, sense of entrapment) and depression. Financial support is also a significant determinant on feelings of abandonment and impact on health. These findings are instructive both clinically and theoretically. The theoretical import of greater emotional support under a condition of chronic stress is discussed. Further, interventions to encourage emotional support from family members are suggested.

        노인 가족부양자의 재가복지서비스 이용의향 및 필요도에 영향을 미치는 요인

        This study examined factors associated with family caregivers` preference and need for community care services - home help services, day care services, short-term care services, meal delivery services, mobile bath services. The model proposed for the analysis draws upon the health behavior model presented by Andersen and Newman. 235 family caregivers living with the elderly composed the sample. Logistic Regression Analyses demonstrated that caregivers` age is a significant predictor for caregivers` need for community care services and caregivers` relationship with elderly is strongly associated with caregivers` need and preference for day care services and short-term care services. Among enabling factors, family income is significantly associated with caregivers` preference and need for home help services and short-term care services. Caregivers` service recognition is negatively associated with caregivers` preference for community care services. Emotional and instrumental support to family caregivers are significant predictors for caregivers` preference for community care services. Among need factors, family caregivers` social and emotional burden is strongly associated with caregivers` need for community care services. These findings have several implications for policy development and future research in this area.
