This paper describes the preliminary design procedure for the hybrid propulsion system. For a given mission defined by velocity increment, the design of a polyethylene/LOX hybrid rocket was implemented. In addition, Seven-cluster multi-port fuel-grain was considered. After determining the system size including the combustion chamber, the performance parameters such as specific impulse, thrust, characteristic velocity, and thrust coefficient can be predicted by using empirical regression rate correlation, though most of preliminary design code assume constant regression rate. The results of the performance prediction indicated that besides the widely used HTPB/LOX, polyethylene/LOX hybrid motor can be a viable alternative to the more widely used SRMs.

During recent decades, many image-guided procedures for portal hypertension have been developed, and today, interventional radiology has evolved to become an integral part of therapy. Various procedures are currently available, the choice depending on the etiology and location of disease, the pathoanatomy, and the symptomatology. Those procedures can be categorized into two groups. 1) Interventions to reduce the portal pressure by either direct or indirect methods. This can be achieved with transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), recanalization of the hepatic vein outflow, recanalization of the portal vein and its tributaries, partial splenic embolization, and embolization of arterioportal shunts. 2) Interventions to embolize bleeding varices without altering portal pressure. This can be performed percutaneously or transvenously. This article briefly describes the procedures, their results, and their current status in the treatment of portal hypertension.
에르고미터 운동 시 근활성도와 생리학적 피로도 비교 분석

The purpose of this study was (a)to compare electromyographic (EMG) activities and physiological variables on the development of fatigue induced by ergometer test, (b)to determine investigate the differences in the stage of fatigue between the electromyographic characteristics and physiological variables. Nine male university students who have no musculoskeletal disorder were recruited as the subjects. The electromyographic characteristics(peak IEMG, average IEMG, median frequency, mean edge frequency) and physiological variables(HR, RPE, blood lactate) were determined for each stage(15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, all out). For each dependent variable, one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) with repeated measures and correlation analysis were performed to test if significant difference existed(p<.05). The results showed that peak IEMG, average IEMG from low extremity and physiological variables were significantly increased during the all-out stage. EMG parameters in VL, VM show significantly correlation with physiological variables during whole stages. This indicated that IEMG values may be proper parameters to determine muscle fatigue rather than physiological variables.

Design/methodology/approach The New 1794 Project is a 2019 demonstration project requested by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for “Suwon Smart City Challenge Project: Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si,” developed by the Dankook University SW Design Convergence Center, and the main project from 2020 to 2022. The smart city project strategy should be implemented based on partnerships with multiple stakeholders, and the bottom-up approach and the traditional top-down must be able to coexist. Therefore, the smart city solution applied a horizontal governance method. Findings In this study, the definition of the New 1794 Project, which is the key to defining smart cities in relation to all analyzed aspects, was developed.

In this study is the tide Saemangeum embankment management and sea side slope behavior analysis, and surveillance and management of the numbers 1 and 3 tide embankments installed in each of the previous years was conducted. Results of the numbers 1 and 3 devices showed that sideways movement by the clinometers were slight, and in the case of the subsidence meter, efflux of find wire dredging caused by damage to the filter mats resulted in serious subsidence at the STA. No. 20+30 row 1 EL+3.0m, EL-6.0m, row 2 EL-2.0m points of device number 1. Results of the piezometer showed that changes in the tide levels at low and high tide caused changes in water pressure at regular intervals. Therefore, it is established that tide embankments are stable in all areas save the STA. No. 20+30 point of device number 1.

This paper describes the structural safety of solid fuel in the Hybrid Rocket Motor (HRM). Hybrid rocket combustion has the distinct regression characteristics which include the process of thermal pyrolysis and fuel vaporization. Most of all, this regression characteristics would structurally affect the strength of the fuel having a multi-port configuration, and even may cause the breaking from the fuel grain. This problem would probably influence the performance and operating safety of HRM. Therefore, for the safe operation of HRM, the critical port radius which determines the structurally safe region was discussed from the heat analysis of the solid fuel.
