The pharmacological activities and pharmacokinetic aspects of a topical microemulsion (KDPM) containing 0.5% piroxicam were evaluated after its topical application compared with a commercially available 0.5% piroxicam gel (R gel). When the pharmacological activities were evaluated with the carrageenaninduced paw edema model, KDPM showed 55.6% edema inhibition, while R gel resulted in 37.1%. With the adjuvant-induced arthritis model, KDPM also resulted in the better pharmacological activities than R gel. The relative bioavailability of KDPM based on R gel was 176% in rabbits.

Graphitized Carbon Black 을 이용한 Diazepam의 微量分離分析에 관한 硏究

Graphitized Carbon Black(GCB) is norpolar adsorbent which adsorbs selectively aromatic compounds having polarizable functional group such as -NO_2, -C1, and -phenyl. The adsorptivity and desorptivity of GCB were examined using diazepam as a model compound to characterize GCB as a solid matrix in the enrichment of trace compounds from biological matrices. Using property that diazepam is insoluble in water adsorption coefficient and adsorption capacity per g of GCB were determined. Breakthrough curves were examined from elution chromatographic mode and frontal chromatographic mode to determine breakthrough volume and know diazepam is quantitatively adsorbed on GCB irrespective of volume of water to get rid of interferants. Human serums spiked with known amounts of diazepam were analyzed and recovery was 91.9%(R. S. D. 1.0%).
