There is growing attention on the restaurant delivery app market, which has been expanding rapidly in response to socio-economic changes such as increased smartphone usage and the rise of single-person households. Despite many studies focusing on the various benefits of delivery app use for consumers, we have limited understanding of whether restaurant delivery app usage helps store owners increase their sales. Hence, this study examines the associations between delivery app usage and restaurant sales in Korea. Using the 2020 Restaurant Business and Management Survey data, we employed multiple regression models with robust standard error estimation to determine the relationships between a restaurant's delivery app usage and sales. Additionally, this study accounted for the types of delivery app and commercial submarkets to examine how these relationships are different by service types as well as regions and commercial areas. Our findings can help policymakers and restaurant owners better understand the impact of delivery app usage and develop business strategies to achieve commercial stability.

Researchers started to pay attention on delivery app market around 2016, when the market was growing rapidly due to social environmental changes such as the increase in smartphone use and single-person households. This study aims to analyze the effect of delivery apps and delivery agency services on the sales of restaurants, particularly focused on characteristics of regions the restaurants are located in. The results indicate that delivery service factor, which are the use of delivery apps and delivery agency services, significantly increased the sales of restaurants. In addition, analysis verified that there is difference in use of delivery apps and delivery agency services between different regions. In metropolitan area, delivery service factor showed highly significant effect on the sales. Every variable showed an increase of more than 50% in sales. Non-metropolitan area also showed that delivery service factor significantly raised the sales.

In this study, to evaluate the applicability of VDMS(Vision-based Displacement Measurement System) in the field, 30m of real specimens were measured vertical displacement using the VDMS and a displacement Transducer. The VDMS was to take a picture by attaching Target on the structure. Then, by analyzing the video in Digital Image correlation algorithm obtained a displacement of the structure. The vertical displacement of 30m real specimens using the VDMS and a displacement Transducer was very similar, and it is determined that the VDMS has a high applicability in the field.
