In this paper, TIG welding process for super Alloy 617, which is one of the heat and corrosion resistance materials, was optimized. And mechanical properties on the weld of alloy 617 was also assessed on the base of reliability. From the result, 1)it is effective to use Ar+2.6%H₂ gas as a shield gas for TIG welding of Alloy 617(base metal)+Tissen 617 (filler metal). 2)When make welding with optimized welding condition, base metal and HAZ does not show large difference in metallurgical micro-structure and composition, but weld metal zone does show coarse grain rather than base metal and HAZ. 3) It was assessed that tensile strength ration=0.89 in R.T, tensile strength ration=0.86 in 700℃.4) It was assessed that corrosion rate of ration=2.2 in R.T, corrosion rate of ration=1.2 in heat-treated at 700℃
