Corrosion of reinforcing steel in R.C. bridges causes durability problem and great expenditure for strengthening those. For this reason, researches to solve the problem have been conducted but the achievements are just for improving, not the solution. Fiber Reinforced Polymers are recognized as the alternative materials for solving the problem due to the excellent corrosion-resistant property, light-weight and higher strength than steel. This paper presents theoretical consideration of bond behavior for GFRP rebar with wave shape.

This paper presents experimental results for durability performance of GFRP composite exposed to the alkali solution. Additives used in this study were PVA, kaolin clay, and alumina powder. Temperature was 80℃ for the first test. The condition of second test is the 20℃ alkali and tap water solution for the cases of no additive and PVA. Specimens were immerged up to 30 days and tested for tensile strength for each immersion time. The results indicate that it is important to fill the inner space of GFRP composite densely to avoid the decrease of tensile strength. In this study, PVA showed better performance than other additives.

This paper presents experimental results for flexural behavior of GFRP reinforced slabs. A total of 16 slabs, classified with 6 groups, were prepared and tested Reference group is steel reinforced slabs according to compressive strength of concrete. GFRP slabs were designed considering same reinforcement ratio, strength, stiffness with the reference slab and different thickness of cover. Though the test results showed the possibility of applying GFRP reinforcement to concrete structures, the way to decrease the reinforcement ratio of GFRP and to satisfy the limit of serviceability should be considered to use GFRP as reinforcement in concrete structures.

사회기반시설은 국가 경제 활동의 기반을 형성하는 기초적인 시설이기 때 문에 교량붕괴와 같은 예상치 못한 구조물 이상은 개인 및 국가적인 경제적 손실을 발생시킬 뿐만 아니라 사회문제로까지 확대될 수 있다. 따라서 사회기반시설을 이루는 구조물에 대한 지속적인 유지관리와 안전관리는 비 중 있게 다루어져야 한다. 교량 유지관리를 위한 모니터링은 90년대 초에 처음 도입되어 현재는 실시간 계측과 분석이 가능한 상태로까지 발전하였으며 최근에는 첨단센서를 이용한 시스템이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상기와 같은 모니터링 시스템을 구축함에 있어서 최근 주목받고 있는 광섬유 센서를 이용하는 경우의 경제성을 알아보기 위해 다양한 조건에 대한 비용 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 분석결과를 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 전기저항식 센서를 이용하여 모니터링 시스템을 구축하는 경우와 비교하여 광섬유 센서를 이용한 교량 모니터링 시스템의 경제성을 살펴보았다. 검토결과 광섬유 센서를 사용하여 모니터링 시스템을 구축하는 경우 많은 부분 기존의 경우보다 보다 나은 이점을 취할 수 있고 비용 측면에서도 경쟁력을 가질 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. Civil infrastructure is the basis facility which builds up the base of national economy operation. Consequently unexpected sudden abnormal condition of civil infrastructure causes private and national property loss and moreover can spread social issue. Therefore, continuous maintenance and safety management for the civil infrastructures should be handled with great weight. Monitoring system for managing bridge maintenance was introduced first in the early of 1990s and has been developed up to real time measurement and analysis. Thesedays another system using fiber optic sensors is being developed. This paper presents the cost analysis of bridge monitoring system with fiber optic sensors which is gathering attention. Various cases were considered and the results were compared with that of monitoring system with electronic resistant type sensors widely used. As a results, fiber optic sensor system has good advantages in various cases, and also cost effectiveness compared to conventional sensor system.

This paper examined the revitalization of Ulsan City Tour as a city marketing strategy. We had a interview with the person in charge and did a field survey and a questionnaire survey of city tour users to look at the current state of Ulsan City Tour. Ulsan City Tour in 2012 included 8 tourist routes by single and double-decker buses, the passengers in 2012 increased around 6 times compared to the previous year and a double-decker bus carried more than two passengers in a day when compared to a single-decker bus. Based on our analysis, we suggest the following strategies. First, it should be allocated enough time to watch tourist attractions. Second, to provide the convenience of foreign tourits, there is a need to install a LCD monitor or headset offering foreign language commentary. Third, in the case of Ulsan, City Tour bus has only a site tour program which is lamented for not allowing participants to move between sightseeing spots. It will require the development of loop tours. Finally, it should secure the potential attracters of City Tour.

F.R.P. Sheets(Carbon, Grass and Aramid) are repairing and rehabilitating materials of which consumption has been increasing steeply most recent. Recently years, in the country, despite of excellent material property, those are used empirically without proving of behavior characteristics. In this test, F.R.P. Sheets(Carbon, Grass and Aramid), were tested for investigation of the change of tensile strength about number of sheet layers and splice lengths. The test results show that the tensile strength do not have any affection with respect to number of sheet layers and fiber sheets, which are cut for using in field, do have adequate spliced length to give the same strength of one sheet.
