This study aims at findings of the important factors and efficient strategies concerning about the the Human Resource Retention Management(HRRM) of the Korean Foreign Direct Investment Firm(KFDIF). The HRRM consists of six variable factors due to the Compensation, Job Management, Educational Program Development and Training, Relationship Reinforcement, Participative Management, Turnover Employee and Management Strategies. The data were collected throughout the sampled 100 KFDIF with premade questionaires survey forms and the analyses were conducted with respect to the Factor and Discriminant Analyses and so forth. The research findings are as follows : l) As the short-term direct strategies on the HRRM, the KFDIF might be taking account into Compensation Strategies. 2) As the long-term indirect strategies due to Participative Management, Relationship Reinforcement, Educational Program Development and Training, (1) the major reasons of foregin employee`s turnover are due to dissatisfaction related to Compensation, Promotion, Job Management and some conflicts with Korean staffs.(2) in the developed countries, the KFDIF tends to apply more Participative Management Strategies, Relationship Reinforcement Strategies, Educational Program Development and Training Strategies than do other ones. (3) the firms with lower turnover rate tend to apply more reasonable Compensation Strategies, Participative Strategies, Relationship Reinforcement Strategies than do the ones with higher turnover rate.

The purpose of this study is to deal with a forecast of probable failures facing up to the existing Korean universities and colleges in the early 21st century and with how each institution should cope with the situation before the failures actually take place. The methods used in this research are Scenario analysis, Factor and Cluster analyses in order to find out major factors having influence upon the operation and management of these universities and colleges. It's turned out that every institution is different from others and in fact unique in its make-up and so each will have different ways to deal with the impending failures and the crisis management problems strategically.
On Development of Lower Order Aggregated Model for the Linear Large-Scale Model

The aggregation of linear large-scale dynamic systems is examined in this paper and a "two-step" approach is proposed. In this procedure, the aggregated system consists of two subsystem. The first subsystem represents aggregation through the retainment of dominant eigenvalues of the original system, leading to a first approximation of the desired output of the original system. The purpose of augmenting if with a second subsystem is to provide an estimation of the error on the first approximation, thus permitting a second correction to the output approximation and resulting in an output approximation of greater accuracy. Optimization techniques are discussed for the determination of unknown parameters in the aggregated system. These techniques use minimization principles of certain suitable performance indices and are developed for both single input-single output and multiple input-multiple output system. Numerical examples illustrating these procedures are given and the results are compared with those obtained using existing methods. Finally, a pharmacokinetics problem is studied from the aggregation point of view.
