Studies on the factors of psychopathology are constantly increasing. Especially attachment is required for babies to master development milestones. It is also one of the important elements to lead a sound social life later. It is the representation of personality shaping and interpersonal relation patterns. Therefore this study tries to explore if there is any personality variation depending on adult attachment. MMPI is given to the subjects of 314 college freshmen, a normal group of 236 and a clinical group of 78. This study uses both the revised edition(Oh Jin-ah, 2007)of ECRS; Experience in Close RelationshipScales(Brennan, 1998) and Kim Young-hwan’s version(1989). ANOVA study analysis is employed, and it explores the group variation. Scheffe analysis is also employed for post-hoc analysis. The results are as follows. First, in the normal group, there are some differences of depression, paranoia, and psychasthenia between security attachment and fearful-avoidance attachment. Second, in the clinical group, there are some differences of depression, paranoia, and psychasthenia between security attachment and fearful-avoidance attachment. There are some differences in schizophrenia between preoccupation and fearful-avoidance.There also exist some differences in paranoia and social introversion between security, fearful-avoidance and dependance. This study finds out that there are some differences in depression, psychasthenia, and social introversion between security attachment and fearful-avoidance attachment. In the clinical group, there are some differences depending on the attachment types. Among the insecurity attachment types, fearful-avoidance attachment type can be the one of the most important indices for psycho-pathological personalities. Therefore this study indicates that attachment types can play a great role in setting the therapy strategies.

This thesis is to examine children with Developmental Disorder in terms of changes in spontaneousness, the increase of responsiveness, and the improvement in social maturity through 73 sessions. In this study play therapies have been practicedto improve more adaptive development instead of improving the correction ofproblematic behavior or the everyday skills that have been empirically practiced on children with developmental disorder. Effective test on play therapy is assessedthrough the relationship with the therapist that occur during the therapies. Then in order to examine the purpose of the therapy, SMS is both compared and assessed before and after the session. First the result shows that play therapy turns out to be effective in increasing the spontaneousness and responsiveness of children. Second, as therapy sessions go on, improvement in the compromise with therapist, control of desire, and concrete adaptive behavior has been attained. But to generalize these findings, more cases are needed, since this study is a single case one. Therefore this study has some limitations to be statistically tested.

This study is to explore the relevance between representations through the comparison groups of 60 children(aged 3 to 7): the normal group, internal group, and external group. The findings of this study are as follows. Sexually abused children`s mental representations show no affection in conflict situations, and they show avoidance or just exchange information without emotional communication. They use a lot of avoidance defense strategies such as excluding others in conflict situations, denying sympathies, or starting talking about irrelevant topics. They frequently use dissociation such as getting inconsistent and unreal, getting ambiguous to draw the line, or changing topics in a sudden way. used lots of avoidance strategies, expressed a lot of affection in conflict situations. And they were usually not able to find solutions, and showed negative representations in conflict situations. This thesis has provided the ground that we can find relevance between the mental representations when dealing with sexually abused children. And this thesis has also indicated that utilizing and analyzing mental representations are needed in order to maximize the results of play therapies.
주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 부모-자녀관계와 학교생활 적응에 관한 연구

Recent studies has focused on the negative and clinical aspects of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, as the prevalence of ADHD is increasing. Some studies report that children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are more creative more successful than normal children. Therefore this paper is to explore if there is any difference between the parents-children relationships of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and the parents-children relationships of their counterparts, thus if there exists any difference between adaptive behaviors of the two groups. The 101 subjects are normal children who are of above average intelligence level and between third grade and sixth grade. The used instruments are Furman (1985)`s Network of Relationship Inventory(NRI) and Lim Jung-Soon``s School Behavior Test. To compare children with ADHD and their counterparts, T-test ANOVA is employed. The results are as follows. First, the study shows that there exists no significant statistical difference children with ADHD and their counterparts in social support, punishment/dominance, closeness, conflict, friendship. Second, there is no significant statistical difference between two groups in friendship, school learning, school behaviors, but children with ADHD are not likely to have good relationships with their teachers. The positive resources of children with ADHD shouldn``t be neglected due to disability label. This study seems to provide the foundation for the development of effective programs that can help successful adaptation.

It has been indicated that children’s altruistic behaviors are very desirable ones. It has also been accepted that children’s considerate behaviors towards their parents are really adaptable. However evidence is increasingly reported that when someone’s internal desires are suppressed it can cause profound mental difficulties. Therefore this study tries to see the effects of parentification of children on psychopathology. Subjects consist of 314 university freshmen. They are divided normal population(236) and clinical population(78) by researchers and given MMPI test. Study instrument is originally devised by Jurkovic & Thirkield(1999)’s FRS-A(Filial Royalty Scoring-Adult) and revised by Kang Ji-Hee(2008) and Kim YoungHwan(1989) respectively. Correlation Multiple Linear Regression is employed toexplore the effect of the parentification(instrumental, emotional, unfairness) of children on psychopathology. The results are as follows. First, the study shows that no statistical significance is found in the normal group neurotically and psychopathically. Second, unfairness have an effect on children’s psychopathic aspects in the clinical population. It shows a significant effect by Pa, Sc Scale in particular. This study seems to provide the foundation for the adaptive parent-child role because the parentification of children has an impact on the psychosis trait.
