In this paper, the joint problem of EMQ and inspection schedule is studied under the realistic assumption that the repair cost and defective rate are a function of the detection delay. We have developed sufficient conditions for the optimality of the commonly used equal-interval maintenance inspection schedule. The conditions are found to be a function of parameters such as the mean time for system deterioration and the form of the repair cost fuction and the defective rate fuction. For specific repair cost function and defective rate fuction such as linear and exponential, an efficient solution procedure is presented for the simultaneous determination of inspection and production schedule. A numerical example is presented.

For zero inventory and mixed assembly production, JIT (Just In Time) production system in Toyota and JIS (Just-In-Sequence) production system in Hyundai motor co. have been proposed in automobile production areas. Even though the production systems are popular in the areas, many subcontract companies producing part-modules for final production at a parent company suffers from excessive or shortage amount of inventory due to the time gap of production and delivery to the parent company. In this study, we propose an efficient real-time assembly sequence system applying a well-known Pareto method using Paint-In information in painting process and daily production planning information. Based on this system, a production line can estimate the shortage amount of UPH (Units Per Hour) at production line and recovers the amount before operating assembly production in the line. The proposed system provides efficiency on productivity compared with the previous system.

Production field data collection part of manufacturing execution systems operating from the production performance over the traditional way of working daily record automatically collect and Production PLC equipment, barcode labels or RFID tags attached to the pallet or box or product.collected production unit.In particular, how to use the barcode using a barcode scanner or a camera vision, you can collect the data. How to use barcodes on investment compared to how to collect data using RFID, PLC or better. Barcode equipment PLC RFID compared to production figures collected accuracy of many factors that can cause the workers" human error likely to fall. This study, the production performance of the chassis module assembly process to collect, when to collect data using a barcode scanner and vision cameras, and RFID reader, which way to analyze is more effective.

Computing Service Constrained (s, S) Policies

This paper presents a heuristic for computing (s, S) policies subject to one of three-different-service-level constraints with the objective to minimize inventory holding costs. This heuristic differs from others in that it can be used with any of three different service measures and is based on an exact calculation of average cost and average service. It performs an efficient search over part of the feasible region to find a near-optimal solution. This paper also presents some theoretical results for this problem that justify the structure of the heuristic and some computational results that demonstrate its performance.
