The purpose of this study is to discuss appropriate application of various life mask techniques that is essential to stage in make-up industry. As life mask was expressed by applied materials and techniques in special effect, we understand how they were utilized, how to apply each life mask techniques and how make-up materials were used. To conclude we present each techniques were best effected what kind of field in beauty industry. The result is as follows; As using wax, it can be considered as easy and effective in a partial representation to compare other materials. Liquid latex are effectively represented in swelling of the wound, acne, chapped lips, scars and wrinkles etc. It does not accurately represent the skin contact surface. To Apply silicon, hot form and cold form, It is engraved frame, all embossed with the framework must be completed so that could have the most sophisticated effects.

우리나라 성인 여성의 손톱 형태 측정

The purposes of this study is twofold: first, to standardize fingernail configuration of adult women in Korea; second, to set the basic data for the nail beauty industry. This study directly measures the size of fingernail configuration of 600 Korean women, ranging in age from 20s to 40s, with digital vernier calipers, radius gauge, and digital tape measure. The measurement result were analyzed by statistically. The descriptive data analysis provides baseline values for the transverse nail plate curvature of the thumb, index, middle, ring and little fingers. The hight of fingernail cross section was calculated by applying Srinivasa Ramanujan`s formula for the ellipse circumference and the results were used to analyze curvature of fingernail. The height-to-width ratio and curve length-to-width ratio of different digits indicate differences in fingernail curvatures: The thumbnail is the flattest, followed jointly by the little fingernail, index fingernail, then middle fingernail, and finally ring fingernail. The measured values of fingernail configuration can be applied as a basic data when designing for sizing systems of nail products or tor manufacturing various artificial nail tip and nail sticker products.

양파껍질 추출물 식이가 전신경락마사지로 인한 피로도 저감화에 미치는 영향

This study targeted people who don`t get periodic meridian massages, with the reason that usually people with regular massages are apt to feel the fatigue less, but on occasions, they could feel it. Hence, the effects of onion peel extracts intake on the fatigue reduction were investigated by the comparison between meridian massage treatment group (C) and onion peel extracts intake group before meridian massage treatment (OE). The result was summed up as follows. After massages, 5 subjects from C group (6.5%) and 7 subjects from OE group (87.5%) felt a little or no fatigue. In blood analyses, lactic acid concentration of C and OE groups decreased by 9.5% and 16.7%, respectively. The uric acid concentration increased by 6.4% in OE group. The stress hormone was reduced in all people in OE group. On the other hand, superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and biological antioxidant potential (BAP) increased. And diacron reactive oxygen metabolites (d-ROMs) showed 5.4% increase in C group, whilst 3.5% increase in OE group. From these results, it`s proved that the onion peel extracts intake consolidated the effects of the meridian massages by suppressing the fatigue stuff, stress hormone, and oxidative stress hormone formation. The onion peel extract intake before a meridian massage is considered as a very appropriate method to reduce the fatigue which easily appeared after massages.

전신경락마사지 후의 피로정도와 피로물질의 변화 분석

The purpose of this study aimed to evaluate fatigue-related biochemical alterations, we measured various parameters just before and after a massage. 22 healthy female volunteers in their 20 to 40 years, were taken blood samples before and after 2 hours and half meridian massage. Fatigue substances and antioxidant enzyme related substances were analyzed. After the meridian massage, on the questionnaire of fatigue degree, person who answered ‘a bit tired’ or ‘not tired’, so called, less tired than normal status, is assorted to a healthy group. Person who answered more tired than normal status, is called a non-health group. After the meridian massage, healthy group, all 12showed lactic acid levels reduced. On the contrary, 8 in non- healthy group, showed increased levels. Uric acid after the meridian massage, increased 0.2% in the healthy group, 1% in the non-healthy group, respectively. The level of SOD after the meridian massage was obviously 2.5 times higher induction rate than in the healthy group compared with the non-healthy group. The level of GPx before the meridian massage was significantly 21% higher than in the healthy group compared with the non- healthy group. But, after the procedure, only the non-healthy group showed 7% decreased level. Based on these results, we suggest that a fast decomposition of lactic acid, SOD with the capability of induction, a high GPx concentration is considered as an important factor on the classification as ahealthy group, in the survey of fatigue levels.

20~40대 여성의 제모에 대한 인식 및 이용실태와 만족도

This study can be used as a source, to the industry marketing strategy in demand status and preference in the Shaving market. Its experiments are executed to 350 females of 20`s to 40`s in Seoul and Jeon-Ra province. The survey includes 28 inquies, as 6 on Age, Location, Concern on looks, 15 on Recognition, Concern, Physical part, Shaving way, Shaving environment, Info. Gathering way, Necessity, 7 on Experience, Satisfaction measurement, Reason of dissatisfaction, Side effects, Image effect, Effect on skin treatment. The result follows. The analysis on preferential Shaving ways, shows that, rather than the expediency of Shaving, tweezers, depilator, users pursue the satisfaction on effect, using Razor, Honey wax. The response on the side effects of skin status after shaving, says tingling for 69 people(23%) and dark complexion for 65(21.7%) in its highest rank. Investigation on the shaving cost a month and the cost expectation, leads to a little bit expensive at the cost expectation, but they are willing to pay more. According to demographical feature, the recognition on Shaving and inclination on this service, has attentive difference among groups for new shaving way, by Age, Job and Income. Most females respond positively on Shaving service. Particularly among 20`s and 30`s they want to get the management than people in their 40`s. Also with more income and more educated, the interest and necessity on Shaving become bigger.

Related to the deformed materials of the Stage makeup, there`s no regulation in domestic law now. In the supply of products, the finished goods are imported, so the verification of ingredients and cosmetics is incomplete. The result is as follows: 1. The path test on 24 antigen series to the cosmetology majors, shows that the positive rate of the path test on the Korean standard antigen series, is 53.3% and the rate of the 4 Stage makeup materials is 13.3%. For the Korean standard antigen series, the top 3 antigen series are Thimerosal 16.7%, Nickel sulphate 15%, P-tert Butylphenol formalde-hyderesin 10% in order. The antigen series in low positive rate, are Colophony 3.3% (2persons), Cobalt chloride 1.7% (1p), Paraben mix 1.7% (1p), Cl+MeIsothiazolinoe 1.7% (1p), Mercaptobenzothia zole 1.7% (1p), Mercapto mix 1.7% (1p). 2. For the 4 Stage makeup materials, only 13.3% as a whole positive rate, Collodion 10% and Spirit gum 3.3%, shows the positive rate of the path test. Besides with Latex and Duo adhesive, all guinea pigs has negative reaction on skin problems. This verifies the safety of these materials. 3. To investigate whether a person, with reaction on 24 Korean standard antigen series, reacts on the 4 Stage makeup materials or not, it compared between the Korean standard antigen series with the positive rate and the Stage makeup materials with the positive rate of Collodion, Spirit Gum. Apart from we expected the relationship, the 9 Korean standard antigen series and the Special stage makeup with positive rate, arise independently. In this way, without any standard of safety legislation for the Special makeup cosmetics, the users should pay extra attentions and offer the following-up control.

비타민 C, E 섭취가 전신경락마사지로 인한 피로도 저감화에 미치는 영향

This study evaluated the impact of a simultaneous intake of vitamins (Vt) C and E on changes in the concentration of lactic acid, fatigue, pain, the levels of antioxidant enzymes in blood and those of metabolites after body meridian massage. The study surveyed women in their 30 s to 50 s living in Gyeonggi province. After intaking Vt, massage was done. Four target groups (8 participants per group) were as follows: control (C), Vt. C, Vt. E, and Vt. CE (intake of both Vt. C-1000 mg/day and Vt. E-400 mg/day). The changes in fatigue and pain levels after massage increased a little by 0.13±0.84 in all groups. The concentration of lactic acid increased by 30.8% in C but decreased by 33.9% in Vt. C, 30.1% in Vt. E, and 45.5% in Vt. CE. The concentration of uric acid increased by 2.3% in C but decreased by 6.6% in Vt. C, 8.9% in Vt. E, and 9.5% in Vt. CE. Superoxide dismustase (SOD) increased by 56% in C, 40.7% in Vt. C, 46.6% in Vt. E, and 30.2% in Vt. CE. Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) decreased by 4.1% in C and 2.9% in Vt. E, but increased by 17.1% in Vt. C and 17.4% in Vt. CE. Biological antioxidant potential (BAP) increased by 0.4% in C, 7.3% in Vt. C, 3.8% in Vt. E, and 2.1% in Vt. CE. Diacron reactive oxygen metabolites (d-ROMs) decreased by 1.5% in C, 3.3% in Vt. C, 3.9% in Vt. E, and 5.4% in Vt. CE. From this, you can see each works in advanced way, like lactic & uric acid originally increased, but with Vt intake, they decreased. Therefore, vitamin C and E intake before meridian massage treatment is highly recommended to alleviate pain in sore or hardened areas after exercise.

네일 제품 설계를 위한 우리나라 성인 여성의 손톱 유형 분석 - 인조 네일 팁 제품을 중심으로 -

Due to the recent introduction and rapid growth of the nail industry, there are not enough size specifications and systems available for nail product development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the suitability between korean women nail type and the size type of commercial artificial nail tip, to suggest an alternative to the product size system. The study was conducted on 600 women in their 20s and 40s in Korea. The items were 1 vertical lengths of nails, 2 horizontal widths, 2 horizontal side widths, so total 5 items. On the commercial artificial nail tips of 10 companies, 2 horizontal widths and 2 horizontal facial widths, so total 4 items set as measuring points. All were directly measured and analyzed. Four types of nail types in adult women were derived as the most reasonable. As for the morphological(shape) characteristics of each type, type one was classified into the largest group of five nails, and the second type was the smallest group of five nails. In type 3 and 4, the 5 nail sizes showed a similar value to the average, but there was a morphological difference between the thumb, index finger, and middle finger. When the classified nail size was applied to 1 to 10 sizes of commercially nail tips, it was confirmed that the nail tips were distributed intensively in the artificial nail tips of 8 and 9, and the deviation between the nail tips, 3 to 4 and 6 to 9, were bigger by 1mm. And the deviation between the remaining was irregular. Therefore, increasing the subdivision of the artificial nail tip according to the characteristics of each type, is a solution to improve the size suitability.
