Plant factory industry as a new agriculture is in the spotlight. In this paper, we experimented plant factory applied photovoltaic system and LED lighting. For growing the plant, red, blue and white LED were placed into 1:4:3. Electric power generated by the photovoltaic system was supplied on DC power supply instead of AC. The designed and experimented power generation amount per day of photovoltaic system were 2,860 Wh and 2,272 Wh respectively. Plant has not been grown at the dead space of LED lighting so it is required to array LED lighting.

The developmental disorder(intellectual disorder(ID) and autism spectrum disorder(ASD)) can severely impair a patient’s ability to communicate and socialize. So they require physical management techniques, pharmacologic agents, and general anesthesia more than the normal at the dental clinic. The behavior therapy is a kind of the psychotherapy and is applied to the patient with behavioral problems. Seoul Dental Hospital for Disabled(SDHD) set up the Dental Behavior Clinic for the patients with developmental disorder and treated 32 patients with ID or ASD, blind. 18 patients were treated according to the ordinary plans, 14 patients stopped the treatment by different reasons. The various results of the treatment were produced by the kind or severity of the diseases, age and cooperation of the patients and the caregivers. Especially, the behavior therapist helped to figure out the characteristics of the patients and to make individualized treatment plans. In the future, it will be necessary to treat more patients and to make the dental behavior therapy objectify. And through the dental behavior therapy, it will be expected that the patients will become more cooperative to the dental clinic and can receive regular check-up peacefully, reducing the frequency of the general anesthesia.
가축분 퇴비를 혼합한 음식물류 폐기물 퇴비의 품질 분석 및 배추 재배지 시용 효과 평가

본 연구에서는 음식물류폐기물 퇴비의 품질향상을 위해 가축분 퇴비(계분, 돈분, 우분)를 각각 비율별(0%, 25%, 50%, 75%)로 음식물류폐기물 퇴비에 혼합 후 퇴비의 품질 분석 및 노지 가을배추의 생육에미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 실험에 사용된 모든 퇴비는 비료공정규격의 퇴비부숙도 적합 기준인 Solvita 4 이상을 만족하였다. 퇴비의 품질평가기준에 의한 분석결과, 계분 퇴비와 돈분 퇴비는 1등급을 나타내었고, 음식물류 폐기물 퇴비는 NaCl 함량 초과(2.3%, 기준 2.0% 이하), 우분 퇴비는 수분함량 초과(57.2%, 기준 50% 이하)로 등급외를 나타내었다. 혼합 퇴비의 특성 분석 결과, 가축분 퇴비의 혼합비율이 높아질수록 수분 함량, pH, T-P는 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, T-C, T-N, NaCl 함량은 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 우분 퇴비를 25% 혼합한 퇴비(등급외)를 제외한 모든 혼합 처리구 퇴비가 등급외에서 1등급 이상으로품질이 향상되었다. 특히, 등급외였던 음식물류폐기물 퇴비와 우분 퇴비를 각각 50% 혼합한 퇴비에서특등급을 나타내어 퇴비 품질이 가장 우수한 것으로 조사되었다. 혼합 퇴비 시용에 따라 노지 가을배추의생육을 조사한 결과, 혼합 퇴비가 비혼합 퇴비에 비해 지상부 생체중, 구고, 구폭의 생육이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 혼합 퇴비 중 특등급 퇴비 처리구가 지상부 생체중 3.2 kg, 구고 27.5 cm, 구폭 17.4 cm로 가장 좋은생육을 보였으며, 음식물류 폐기물 퇴비 처리구는 지상부 생체중 2.3 kg, 구고 26.4 cm, 구폭 16.6 cm로비교적 낮은 생육을 나타냈다. 음식물류 폐기물 퇴비에 가축분 퇴비의 혼합은 퇴비의 품질을 향상시키며, 혼합 퇴비는 비혼합 퇴비에 비해 노지 가을배추 생육에 좋은 영향을 주었다. 따라서 품질 문제로 사용이제한되고 있는 음식물류 폐기물 퇴비의 이용 시 가축분 퇴비 혼합을 통해 품질을 향상시켜 이러한 문제를해결할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
맥주박 바이오차 처리가 상추(Lactuca sativa L. var. crispa.)의 생육과 품질에 미치는 영향

The need for organic soil amendment is increasing in the Republic of Korea against the backdrop of soil acidification, pollution, and nutrient losses. The pyrolysis of organic waste biomass produces biochar, which not only increases soil productivity, but also confers environmental benefits by reducing greenhouse gases through carbon sequestration. Brewer’s spent grain (BSG) is rich in useful nutrients and functional substances, but its recycled portion is by far less than the amount generated. Pyrolysis can help to reduce the volume of generated BSG wastes, thus easing it’s recycling. This study evaluated the effects of brewer’s spent grain biochar (BBxxx) pyrolyzed at different temperatures of 300, 500, and 700℃ on the growth and quality characteristics of leaf lettuce including physicochemical properties of the soil. The experiment was conducted at Chungnam National University in Daejeon, Korea. Leaf lettuce was grown in the greenhouse in Wagner pots (1/5000 a) for 35 days. Dried BSG and BBxxx were each added to the soil at rates of 0, 2, and 5% by weight, respectively. Increasing pyrolysis temperatures resulted in increased pH and carbon content of biochar which in turn increased the soil pH and carbon when biochar and soil were admixed. The growth investigation, leaf lettuce with the BB500 5% treatment had the heaviest fresh weight (107.24 ± 3.05 g plant -1 ). The quality investigation, the Anthocyanin content of leaf lettuce with BB500 and BB700 treatments were higher than the control. The results indicate that BB500 performed better than the rest of the biochar and is therefore recommended as an effective soil amendment.
