In recent years, a lot of research was done for earth fault protection in ungrounded dc power supply system. As a result, selective-breaking integrated protective relaying system is developed in progress and is currently field-testing are planned. Algorithm on a PC using PSCAD done a lot of testing before performing field tests, but in this study developed algorithms and functions needed to determine whether they were operating normally. Therefore, simulated system is similar to the actual situation was required and made. selective-breaking algorithm verification and validation was performed with simulator.

There are several protective relays used to protect DC traction power supply system for DC railway. These relays, however, are made by different manufactures and they have different ways for their operations. Therefore, there are difficulties for cooperation between the devices or the devices and an upper system. In order to increase interoperability and stability of the system composed of devices made by different manufactures, IEC 61850 international standards are applied to design logical nodes for modeling protective elements used in protective relays.
타선흡상현상을 고려한 교류철도 급전계통 고장점 표정기법

This paper presents an improved fault location estimation algorithm to reduce the fault location estimation error ratio in AT boosting current ratio technique. The domestic AC traction system uses the AT feeding system as a standard, and most of the lines are composed of double tracks(up and down lines). It was confirmed that the fault location estimation error is increased due to the change of the AT boosting current of the faulted line due to the other line’s AT boosting current characteristics. Therefore, in this paper, an improved fault location estimation algorithm is proposed by using all AT boosting currents considering of the other line’s boosting current characteristics. In order to evaluate the proposed algorithm performance, the AC railway power supply system is modeled and various fault simulations were performed using the power analysis program. As a result, when comparing the error of the existing technique and the improved technique, the improved algorithm shows an average error of 0.16%, and even the maximum error is 0.88%, which is satisfied within 2% of the domestic standard.

도시철도의 직류급전계통에서 적용하고 있는 연락차단계전기는 변전소간 차단기의 연락차단을 위해 변전소간 통신용으로 사용되므로 상당한 신뢰성이 요구된다. 변전소간 연락차단방식은 전압레벨을 이용한 하드와이어 결선 방식을 대부분 사용하고 있으며, 이 방식은 통신선로의 노후화에 따른 임피던스 변동, 전압신호의 감소나 외부 써지와 같은 왜란에 의해 오동작이 발생하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 신뢰성에 대한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 광통신 방식을 이용한 연락차단계전기를 제안하며, 개발 및 제작과 정을 소개하려 한다. The interlinked circuit breaking system mode between sub-stations has been applied in the subway DC Feeding System is mostly using a hard wiring mode by using voltage level, and this mode has the malfunction problem such as the impedance fluctuation and the decrease of voltage signal or the outside surge because of the deterioration of the communication line. Therefore, we"d like to suggest and introduce the development of interlinked circuit breaking relay using optical communication to compensate the defect about this kind of reliability in this paper.

Nowadays reactance method is being used as a technique for fault location in parallel feeding AC traction power system. However, implementation of this method requires a large number of field tests(ground fault) which is a huge burden on the operators. This paper presents a new estimation technique using quadratic interpolation to reduce number of times for field test and improves the accuracy of fault location. To verify a new technique, we solve AT feeding circuit and model it using PSCAD/EMTDC. Finally this paper conducts a comparative analysis of usefulness between a new technique and real field data.

This paper analyzes an active balancer with parallel structure which can solve the unbalance problem of Scott transformer secondary side load. First, the structure and function of the proposed active balancer system are explained and the inverter hardware design and control algorithm applied to the active balancer are presented. In addition, the interleaving technique applied to the parallel balancer is described. In order to verify the effects of active and reactive power compensation and the interleaving technique, 8 MVA active balancer is designed and confirmed through PSIM simulation.
발전기 보호용 다기능 IED 시제품 H/W 구현에 관한 연구

Generator faults does not happen more often than the transmission and substation facility faults. However, impacts on the power system by generator faults are very large. In order to minimize the impact of generator faults, generator protection and control system with high reliability is required. Most of the generator relay in generator protection and control system of large power plant of Korea is operated by imports from abroad. Accordingly, in order to accumulate source technology and increase the import substitution effect, localization of multi-function generator protection IED is being developed. This paper deals with the implementation of a multi-function prototype IED H/W, which can be command and data exchange through communication for measuring, monitoring, protection and control. And the IED specification, various relay elements, measurement elements, communication functions, module function, and test system for the prototype IED H/W are described.
