The purpose of this sutdy was to investigate any changes in acoustic qualities of voice as a function of nasalance, in order to determine the relationship between vocal quality and nasalance. Twenty normal subjects (10 males and 10 females) vocalized /a/, /a'/, and /a η/. The changes in nasalance and acoustic characteristics of the voice were analyzed by Nasometer (Model 6200-3, Kay Elemetrics, co) and Dr. Speech 4.0 (Tiger Electronics, Co), respectively. One-way ANOVA was used to examine any changes in jitter, shimmer, harmonics-to-noise ratio, and normalized noise energy relative to the nasalance in 3 types of vocalization. The Person r correlation coefficient was used to identify the relationship between the nasalance and the vocal quality. There was no statistically significant changes in jitter, shimmer, HNR and NNE. Tfhe jitter, however, tended to increase as the nasalance socre increased, compared to the other vocal parameters. In addition, the NNe showed an increase of /a'/ and /a η/, more on the /a η/. Thus, it was speculated that NNE could be used to identify or screen reasonant with hypernasality
읽기에서 나타난 일반 아동의 전두엽 활성화 양상 연구: fNIR을 활용한 예비 연구

The study was conducted during a typical child's reading to look at activation patterns in the frontal lobe area through changes in oxy-hemoglobin and deoxy-hemoglobin level. For this study, data was obtained from the prefrontal cortex and the dorso-lateral cortex areas of the frontal lobe using fNIR 300A system(Biopac Inc, USA) during the reading of five primary school boys and was analyzed by fNIRSOFT(fs). The results of the study were as follows. (a) there was a tendaency for oxy-hemoglobin to be high in both prefrontal and dorso-lateral areas while the subjects read the material. (b) while the subjects were reading the material, there was a tendency for the deoxy-hemoglobin measurements in the dorso-lateral areas to appear higher than in the prefrontal area. While reading, the changes in oxy-hemoglobin levels and deoxy-hemoglobin levels confirm that the motor areas of frontal lobe and the prefrontal cortex responsible for attention, thinking are activated together, particularly those in the premotor and Broca's areas were more active. 이 연구는 일반 아동이 읽기를 하는 동안 전두엽의 활성화 양상을 알아보고자 수행되었는데, 활성화 양상은 전두엽의 영역들에서 산소 헤모글로빈과 탈산소 헤모글로빈 수준을 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 5명의 초등학교 1학년 남자 아동이 읽기를 하는 동안 기능적 근적외선분광영상(fNIR)을 사용하여 전두엽의 전전두 피질과 배․외측 피질 영역에서 산소 및 탈산소 헤모글로빈 데이터를 얻었으며, fNIRSOFT(fs)를 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대상자들이 자료를 읽는 동안 양측 전전두 영역과 배․외측 영역에서 산소 헤모글로빈의 측정치가 높게 나타나는 경향이 있었다. 둘째, 대상자들이 자료를 읽는 동안 배․외측 영역에서의 탈산소 헤모글로빈 측정치가 전전두 영역에서보다 더 높게 나타나는 경향이 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to establish preliminary data on the speech rates in groups of normal speaking adults and children. The results of the present study are intended to sever as clinical measurement guidelines for diagnosis, assessment, treatment planning, and therapy progresses of stuttering. Thirty-one adults (16 females, 15 males), aged 18-30 years and thirty normally developing children (15 females, 15 males), aged 8-10, participated in the study. The subjects' reading of the Stroll (Jeong, 1994) passage and 1-minute portion of talking about the daily routine were sampled. The adult speakers had rates of 308.29±22.57 syllables per minute (SPM) or 108.06±6.17 words per minute (WPM) during reading, and 252.87±40.86 SPM and 92.26±17.12 WPM during talking. Tfhe children had rates of 176.67±33.65 SPM or 64.07±12.62 WPM during reading, and 149.30±33.14 SPM and 56.60±11.36 WPM during talking. Tfhe results of t-tests for reading and talking tasks in adults showed that SPM in reading (t=2.211, p< .05) and WPM in talking (t=-2.284, p< .05) differed significantly by the gender. To answer the questions whether the rate is different across children's gender and age, a two-way ANOVA was performed. Both SPM and WPM in reading tasks were significantly different between groups of children aged 8 and 10 (p< 01). In speaking tasks, both SPM and WPM were significantly different between groups of children aged 8 and 10, and between 9 and 10.

As a fascinating conjugated polymer, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) has become a new research hotspot and drawn broad interdisciplinary attention as a metal-free and visible-light-responsive photocatalyst in the arena of solar energy conversion and environmental remediation. Importantly, it can be readily functionalized to enhance photocatalytic activities. This work reports the synthesis of a g‐C3N4 photocatalyst modified with intercalated Fe<sup>3+</sup>, possessing superior photocatalytic activity. We used a combination of a Fe-doped-C3N4- functionalized 3D-IO surface and H2O2. The prepared material was applied to study the visible light catalytic activity degradation of organic pollutants rhodamine B under different experimental conditions. The results confirm that the doped Fe<sup>3+</sup> not only enhances Fenton reaction activity and sustains the catalytic cycle, but also stabilizes the photocatalyst.
일반학생과 성악도를 대상으로 Dr. Speech의 음향학적 측정치와 EGG 측정치의 상관관계 비교 연구

Background and Objective : Classical singing students who have received in systematic voice training appeared distinctive voice characteristics compared to normal people who have not received in systematic voice training. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between acoustic parameters and Electroglottography(EGG) parameters in two groups(ordinary college students vs. classical singing students group). Materials and Methods : The 80 ordinary college students and 65 classical singing students participated in this study by utilizing Dr. speech program to obtain acoustic measurements and physiologic measurements simultaneously. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to find the correlation between acoustic parameters and EGG parameters in two groups(ordinary college students group and classical singing students group). Results : The results of the study were as follows : First, there was no correlation between Jitter and EGG Jitter in ordinary college students group, but there was strong correlation between Jitter and EGG Jitter in classical singing students group. Second, there was no correlation between Shimmer and EGG Shimmer in ordinary college students group, but there was strong correlation between Shimmer and EGG Shimmer in classical singing students group. Third, there was no correlation between Harmonic to Noise Ratio(HNR) and EGG HNR in ordinary college students group, but there was strong correlation between HNR and EGG HNR in classical singing students group. Finally, there was no correlation between Normalized Noise Energy(NNE) and EGG NNE in two groups.
