In this study, the conditions of success and failure of joint registration of UNESCO heritage between Korea and Japan were analyzed by comparing the cases of ‘Documents on Joseon Tongsinsa’ and ‘Culture of Jeju Haenyeo’ through two-level game theory. The larger the win-set, the greater the likelihood of an international agreement. In this case, variables such as the politicization of the issue, the number of ratifiers, the linkage of the issues, and the ratification procedure affected the size of the win-set. Korea and Japan succeeded in jointly registering the records of the Chosun Tongsinsa by expanding the size of the domestic win-set because the expansion of the win-set increases the possibility of an international agreement. On the other hand, it can be seen that the joint registration of the Haenyeo culture failed to reach an agreement between Korea and Japan as the Japan’s win-set was reduced due to the influence of various variables. This study suggests the conditions for success (or failure) of cooperation and the importance of private and local-led cooperation for the restoration of Korea-Japan relations.

This is a case study of the development of ‘Health Care Korean 1,2,3,’ which was conducted as part of the integrated Korean language program of the KOFIH. In order to develop textbooks, KOFIH’s educational goals and needs for the contents and courses of Korean language education of 25 participants were investigated, and the lesson and units structure developed based on them are to be presented. As a result of the needs analysis, the necessity of Korean language education was confirmed, and it was found that Korean language education centered on daily life and medical conditions was necessary. In addition, it was confirmed that it is necessary to adjust the training period and training time for application in actual situations after Korean language education. The textbook centered on daily life was composed of situation-based contents considering the participants’ specificity, and the other for health care training was composed of function-based by analyzing official events, medical conditions, and essential places. In addition, in order to increase the efficiency of education during a short training period, English was added together. For the more, it is necessary to continue research on the satisfaction and improvement points for the use of the textbook.

The purpose of this study is to find out about efficient teaching methods in content-based Korean language classes for international students. To this end, 49 international students who participated in the class were surveyed for learners’ participation, interaction, content understanding, and satisfaction after teacher-led classes and flip-learning classes. According to the analysis, most learners recognized themselves as actively participating in the two classes, but responded that they participated in flip-learning classes more actively than teacher-led classes. However, when looking at the results of the response that teacher-led explanations are helpful for later learner interactions, it can be seen that interactions in class are not necessarily perceived as high when learner-led activities are conducted. Interactions are better done in flip-learning classes, and it has been shown that watching prior lectures has contributed to class understanding and satisfaction. It is also shown that these pre-understanding activities have increased the interaction of various activities in subsequent classrooms, leading to improved overall satisfaction and learning motivation, and leading learning. However, since this study is based on the learner’s perception, it is necessary to conduct an objective study to compare and verify the effects of the two teaching methods.
