An iterative procedure is developed to calculate minimum thickness for one-way slabs corresponding to prescribed deflection limits. The minimum thickness obtained are compared with values given by the ACI Code. Result of a parametric study are presented showing the effects of design variables in the calculated minimum thickness. A minimum thickness equation is developed based on code-specified deflection calculation procedures that minimum thickness as a function of the specified deflection limit. The objective of the study described in this paper was to determine limitations of the current tabulated values for application to a range of design conditions and to develop recommendations for minimum thickness values that were consistent with specified limits on calculated deflection and also covered a wide range of design conditions than the current values.
SS-OCT 시스템 적용을 위한 FDML 방식의 고속 파장가변링 레이저 구현

In this paper, we have demonstrated a Fourier Domain Mode-locked wavelength swept laser for SS-OCT system. The proposed FDML ring laser is constructed by long fiber ring cavity, a semiconductor optical amplifier, and a tunable fiber Fabry-Perot filter. Effective sweep rate of up to 123kHz(forward 61.5kHz, backward 61.5kHz) is demonstrated with a 10.53μm axial resolution and a 75nm tuning range at 1340nm center wavelength.
하이브리드(GFRP and Steel Plate) 플레이트로 보강된 RC보의 휨 거동

The flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with hybrid glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-steel reinforcements is presented. The experimental work included flexural testing of 2.4m-long concrete beams with, bonded and anchored hybrid plate. The structural behaviors of strengthened beams are compared with codes in terms of yield load and ultimate load, flexural stiffness. Fourteen beams were tested experimentally to evaluate the strength enhancement provided by the hybrid plate. According to the results, it is shown that beams strengthened with hybrid plate are structurally efficient.
