심하식,조규송,최준길 ( Ha Sik Sim,Kyu Song Cho,Jun Kil Choi ) 한국하천호수학회 1995 생태와 환경 Vol.28 No.2
An ecological study of aquatic insects was conducted at Chojong stream from September 1992 to August 1993. The taxa of aquatic insects of the study period composed of 152 species, 94 genera, 53 families, 9 orders. Dominant taxa were Ephemeroptera(53%), Trichoptera(34%) and Diptera(10%). Functional feeding groups dominated scrapers and collectors at upper stream(site 1, 2 and 3), filterers and collectors abundanced at middle stream(site 4, 5, 6 and 7). Tolerance groups dominated at middle stream. Monthly diversity indicies were relatively inconsistant at the sites 4 and 5 compared with other sites. Study sites were clustered most similar sites between 4, 5 and 7 by UPGMA. Chojong stream was characterized by water quality in the phase of β-mesosaprobic and α-mesosaprobic.
한국산 Hotaria 속 반딧불이 2종의 고도별 출현 및 분포양상
심하식,권오길,Sim, Ha-Sik,Kwon, Oh-Kil 한국생태학회 2000 Journal of Ecology and Environment Vol.23 No.3
We have collected two species of firefly, Hotaria papariensis and Hotaria unmunsana to investigate their patterns of appearances and distributions from May to July in 1999 at 18 localities in Korea. A total of 1,096 individuals of these two species were collected: H. papariensis 584 and H unmunsana 512. The highest appearance level of adult firefly was different from each altitude. They appeared from the beginning of June to the end of June at 200 m sea level, the middle of June to the end of June at 200∼400 m, the end of June to the beginning of July at 400∼600 m and the beginning of July to the middle of July at 600∼800 m, respectively, All regions of these two species were cohabit, but Cheju-do region is the exceptional case. H papariensis was dominant at the northern parts and H unmunsana was the southern parts of Korean peninsula.

The main habitats of diving beetles in agricultural ecosystems were identified as ponds, irrigation channels, and reservoirs, where the water system is maintained throughout the year. Four species, Cybister japonicus, Cybister brevis, Hyphydrus japonicus and Noterus angustulus, were selected as biological indicators which can be used to evaluate the healthiness of the agricultural ecosystem. The species number of 4 indicator species, the species number of diving beetle species, and the diversity index were used as factors for environmental evaluation. The evaluation was classified into grades $I{\sim}IV$. The non-fertilizer and non-pesticide agricultural practicing area and the sustainable agricultural practicing area were evaluated as grades $I{\sim}II$, and the general agricultural area to be relatively fine with a grade II. However, the analysis indicated the agricultural areas near a residential area and an industrial complex to be poor with a grade of IV, suggesting that immediate improvement in the agricultural environment is needed.

To recognize the species composition and community of chironomid midge in agroecosystem and evaluate removal capacity of organic matter using the dominant species among them. Chironomid midge and invertebrate cohabitants were quantitatively collected at 78 representative stations of five habitat types (in arable land during 2004~2006) A, paddy fields of the large scale arable land; B, paddy fields of the environmental friendly arable land; C, influent of domestic waste water; D, influent of waste water by livestock; E, the irrigation ditch of paddy area. The total sixteen species of chironomid midges at arable land were presented. And also chironomid midges were recognized by five habitat types: eleven species in D, eight in A, seven in E, six in B, and two in C. We confirmed dominant species in each habitat types as followings: Chironomus nipponensis in A, C, and D; Cricotopus sylvestris in E; Tanytarsus seosanensis in B. Water quality and community index were high in E, but low in A, B, C, and D. Comparing with non-treatment, removal activities of organic matter in bottom by C. nipponensis were increased 18% in 90 individuals treatment.

To select indicator insects, the abundance of which is one of the major criteria for the evaluation of agricultural environment, was designated and monitored in the three sites (Hongcheon A, B, and Yangpyeong) from 2001 to 2003. Characteristics of rice cultivation are usual cultivation with 2 or 3 times sprayed chemical agents per year in Hongcheon A site, duck cultivation with non-sprayed chemical agent, green manure and mowing in Hongcheon B site, and pond snail with non-sprayed chemical agent, green manure and mowing in Yangpyeong site. Dominant floral species are Digitaria ciliaris (Retz.) Koel., Persicaria thunbergii (Siebold & Zuccarini) H. Gross, Echinochioa crus-galli (L.) Beauvois, and Humulus scandens (Lour.) Merr. in Hongcheon A site, Digitaria ciliaris (Retz.) Koel., Persicaria thunbergii (Siebold & Zuccarini) H. Gross, and Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Beauvois in Hongcheon B site, and Digitaria ciliaris (Retz.) Koel., Setaria viridis (L.) Beauv., and Persicaria langiseta (De Btuyn) Kitagawa in Yangpyeong site. Degree of green naturality (DGN) was higher in Hongcheon B site (2.0) and Yangpyeong site (3.6) than in Hongcheon A site (1.6). Number of species and individual of insects collected in the three sites were abundant on August and September. The species diversity was higher in Hongcheon B and Yangpyeong than in Hongcheon A. And Coleoptera was dominant in the all sites. The dominance index (DI) was the lowest, but diversify index (H'), evenness index (E) and richness index (RI) were the highest in Hongcheon B site. Based on three results, indicator insects for the evaluation of agricultural environment were selected as Dolichus halensis in Hongeheon A site, as Pheropsophus. javanus and Polionemobius mikado in Hongcheon B and Yangpyeong sites.

백현민 ( Hyun Min Baek ),심하식 ( Ha Sik Sim ),윤희남 ( Hee Nam Youn ),송호복 ( Ho Bok Song ) 한국어류학회 2008 한국어류학회지 Vol.20 No.4
The feeding ecology of endangered Cottus hangiongensis was studied in the Hosan stream from September 2006 to August 2007 by collecting them seasonally. The stomach contents of C. hangiongensis consisted mainly of aquatic insects and Nematoda, small fish, fish eggs, snails (Semisulcospira libertina), and small stones were also observed. The main aquatic insects in the order of relative importance were Diptera, Trichoptera, Ephemeroptera and Plecoptera. The most important prey items were Chironomidae sp.1 and Hydropsyche kozhantschikovi. Change in the main prey organisms by season were Trichoptera in the spring and the summer, Diptera in the autumn, and Plecoptera in the winter by ratio of dry weight.
