So far, Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) into the cylinders has been regarded as a way of the reduction in fuel consumption and exhaust emission, therefore GDI system is still spotlighted to archive the above requirements. Especially, fuel injector for GDI system needs high injection pressure, smaller particle size, good spray characteristic, wide Dynamic Flow Range (DFR) and stability for all operating conditioll So, in this paper, an experimental study was carried out to investigate the globaI spray behavior and characteristics of High-pressure Direct Swirl Injector.<br/> As the result of this work, it was described the spray characteristics of KB injector (HDSI) which had mean droplet size below the 20[㎛], 56° of spray angle, more wide dynamic flow range and low end linearity than B injector.
