For linear discrete-time time-invariant multi-input mufti-output systems, a necessary condition which an optimal output Proportional feedback gains must satisfr is deiived. Quadratic performance index is used. The result is extended to the desi01 problem for determining optimal output proportional plus integral feedback gains. For illustration, an example problem is solved and discussed.

Vol.8 No.4
It is of great practical interest to decide when to stop testing a software system in development phase and transfer it to the user. This decision problem called an optimal release policies. In this paper discussed to specify an optimal release policies. In this paper, propose an optimal release policies of the life distribution applied Erlang distribution of special pattern of Gamma distribution. In this paper, discuss optimal software release policies which minimize a total average software cost of development and maintenance under the constraint of satisfying a software reliability requirement. From Sensitivity Analysis, make out estimating software optimal release time.
High-degree Cubature Kalman Filtering Approach for GPS Aided In-Flight Alignment of SDINS
2015 Journal of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Vol.4 No.4
A High-degree Cubature Kalman Filter (CKF) is proposed to deal with the Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SDINS) alignment problem. In-flight Alignment (IFA) is an effective method to compensate for attitude errors of the navigation system. While providing precise attitude error compensation, however, the external source aided alignment often creates a nonlinear filtering problem caused by a large misalignment angle. Introduced recently, Cubature Kalman Filter is a suitable technique for various nonlinear problems. In this paper, a higher degree CKF is applied to this accuracy-is-everything SDINS IFA problem. The simulation results show that the proposed technique outperformed a traditional nonlinear filter in terms of precision and alignment time.

This study was carried out to investigate the distribution of the benthic polychaetous community in Kamak Bay, in summer of 1993. Polychaetes, the dominant faunal group comprising 74.5% of the total number of fauna, consisted of a total of 84 species with a mean density of 112 indiv.m/SUP -2/. The number of species and density were higher in the mouth area of the bay than in the rest of the bay. The most dominant Polychaete was Tharyx sp.(31.9%), followed by Lumbrineris longifolia (27.5%), Chone sp.(4.5%) and Glycera chirori (4.2%). The correspondence analysis revealed that the study area could be divided into four regions. Northeastern channel and southern mouth region of the bay, named Tharyx-Chone assemblage, sustained higher polychaetous density and species number due to the active water exchange with the outer off-sea, whereas northwestern region of the bay had the poorest polychaetous assemblage in the species number and faunal density owing to the blocking water exchange, high organic enrichment in sediment, and low dissolved oxygen content of bottom water. The central region, named Praxillella-Terebellides assemblage and Gly-cera assemblage, was the transition zone between another two region in species composition.
Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion via a Unilateral Approach
2006 Yonsei medical journal Vol.47 No.3
This study sought to determine the outcomes of posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF), via a unilateral approach, in selected patients who presented with unilateral leg pain and segmental instability of the lumbar spine. Patients with a single level of a herniated disc disease in the lumbar spine, unilateral leg pain, chronic disabling lower back pain (LBP), and a failed conservative treatment, were considered for the procedure. A total of 41 patients underwent a single-level PLIF using two PEEKTM (Poly-Ether-Ether-Ketone) cages filled with iliac bone, via a unilateral approach. The patients comprised 21 women and 20 men with a mean age of 41 years (range: 22 to 63 years). Two cages were inserted using a unilateral medial facetectomy and a partial hemilaminectomy. At follow-up, the outcomes were assessed using the Prolo Scale. The success of the fusion was determined by dynamic lumbar radiography and/or computerized tomography scanning. All the patients safely underwent surgery without severe complications. During a mean follow-up period of 26 months, 1 patient underwent percutaneous pedicle screw fixation due to persistent LBP. A posterior displacement of the cage was found in one patient. At the last follow up, 90% of the patients demonstrated satisfactory results. An osseous fusion was present in 85% of the patients. A PLIF, via a unilateral approach, enables a solid union with satisfactory clinical results. This preserves part of the posterior elements of the lumbar spine in selected patients with single level instability and unilateral leg pain.
