본 연구에서는 유도초음파를 이용하여 열 교환기와 증기발생기 튜브의 결함을 비파괴적으로 탐상하고 그 크기를 산정하였다. 이론적인 해석을 위해 인코넬(Inconel) 튜브에 대한 위상 및 군속도 분산선도를 Longitudinal 모드와 Flexural 모드에 대해 구하였다. 튜브의 원주방향 레이저노치와 튜브 지지대 하단의 방전가공결함(EDM wear)을 각각 비대칭 및 대칭 탐촉자 세트를 사용하여 탐상하였다. 실험결과 방전가공결함은 L(0, 2), L(0, 3), L(0, 4) 모드로 탐상되었으며, 그 중 L(0, 4) 모드가 결함으로부터 가장 잘 반사되었다. 레이저노치의 경우에는 L(0, 1) 모드 주변의 Flexural 모드가 결함을 탐상하고 크기를 산정하는데 사용될 수 있음을 보였다. This study shows the defect detection and sizing capability of ultrasonic guided waves in the nondestructive inspection of heat exchanger and steam generator tubing. Phase and group velocity dispersion curves for the longitudinal and flexural modes of a sample Inconel tube were presented for the theoretical analysis. EDM(Electric Discharge Machining wears in tubing under a tube support plate and circumferential laser notches in tubing were detected by an axisymmetric and a non-axisymmetric transducer set up, respectively. EDM wears were detected with L (0, 2), L(0, 3) and L(0, 4) modes and among them L(0, 4) mode was found to be the most sensitive. It was also found that the flexural modes around L(0, 1) mode could be sued for the detection and sizing of laser notches in the tubing.
갈락토올리고당 생산 효모 Bullera singularis의 최적 배양조건

갈락토올리고당 생산 효모인 Bullera singularis의 배양조건을 최적화 하였다. 최적 배양온도는 25℃, pH는 6.0, 초기 접종농도 5%(v/v) 이상, 초기 유당농도 5%(v/w) 이상이었다. 미생물의 성장과 갈락토올리고당의 생산은 비례하였으며 5% 유당과 0.75% yeast extract를 함유한 배지에서 배양할 경우 배양 70시간만에 배지내에 고형분 기준으로 72%의 갈락토올리고당을 생산할 수 있었다. 생산된 올리고당은 2당류 3가지, 3당류 2가지, 4당과 5당이 각기 한가지씩이었으며, 탄소원의 대사작용을 고려하여 B. singularis에 의한 갈락토올리고당 생산 메커니즘을 새로이 제안하였다. The cultural conditions of Bullera singularis were optimized for the efficient production of galactooligosaccharide (GOS). Optimum temperature was 25℃, pH was 6.0, inoculum size was over 5% (v/v), initial lactose concentration was over 5% (w/v). The GOS production increased with microbial growth. Maximum amount of 72% (w/w) GOS was obtained from the optimized medium (5% lactose and 0.75% yeast extract) in 70 hours. Seven types of GOS (3 of dimer, 2 of trimer, 1 of tetramer, and 1 of pentamer) were identified by two-dimensional TLC. A new mechanism of GOS production is proposed based on the metabolism of carbon source.
Viruses as self-assembled nanocontainers for encapsulation of functional cargoes

Viruses naturally exhibit an incredible variety of sophisticated nanostructures, which makes them ideal biological building blocks for nanoengineered material research. By mimicking their spontaneous assembly process,tremendous advances have been made towards utilizing virus and virus-like particles (VLPs) as protein cages, scaffolds,and templates for nanomaterials in the last few years. This review outlines recent progress in the field of bionanotechnology in which viruses are introduced to encapsulate various functional cargoes in a precise and controlled fashion. The encapsulation mechanisms are summarized into three main strategies: electrostatic interaction, chemical conjugation,and covalent attachment by genetic manipulation. The combination with chemical modification and genetic engineering heralds a brilliant future for fabrication of functional nanomaterials. These well-defined architectures will find attractive applications in biosensing, drug delivery, enzyme confinement, light-harvesting system, and pharmaceutical therapy.

The purpose of this paper is to develop an Education-Industry cooperation promotion strategy for local industry support. Research·Education·Industry cooperation helps enter-prises to develop competitiveness power. University's role in that framework is to provide know-how to their technological innovation efforts. Local government's role is to centralize their services for effective support and is suggested to operate organization such as technological innovation cluster integrated management center. It is very important to establish one-stop service through industry association by the business category in order to promote business support. Also, through the business association network by the business category and by expansion of related business infrastructure, It is necessary to utilize system approach strategically.
