Development of ULEV (ultra low emissions vehicle) requires more stringent control of fuel injection schedule as well as of exhaust gas after-treatment. Since contribution of first minute's HC emissions to the total amount is significant, it is necessary to optimize fuel injection schedule cycle by cycle during the period. In order to monitor cycle-based engine parameters, data measured in time domain was converted to the one in engine cycle domain. The converted data made it possible to calculate injected equivalence ratio and instantaneous mass flow rate of exhaust gas. The effect of injected equivalence ratio was presented in HC emissions measured with a fast FID and in A/F measured with a wide band lambda sensor. Analysis of three driveability test cases led to the following observations: 1) quantified relation between fuel DI and optimal overall enrichment, 2) close relationship among calculated injection equivalence ratio, behaviors of HC concentrations and A/F during accelerations, 3) quantified deceleration enleanment which causes partial burning or misfire.<br/>

This paper describes Hyundai's research and development work on a flexible fuel vehicle (FFV). The work on FFV has been conducted to evaluate its potential as an alternative to the conventional gasoline vehicle. Hyundai FFV described here can be operated on M85, gasoline, any of their combinations, in which the methanol concentration is measured by an electrostatic type fuel sensor. For that operation, a special FFV ECU(Electronic Control Uni t) has been developed and incorporated in the FFV.<br/> The characteristics affecting FFV operation, such as FFV ECU control strategy and injector flow rate, have been investigated and optimized by experiment. And various development tests have been performed in view of engine performance, durabi1ity, cold startabi1ity, and exhaust emissions reduction. The exhaust gas aftertreatment system consisting of manifold type catalyst and secondary air injection system shows good emission reduction performance including formaldehyde, and finally, the possibility of the FFVs as low emission vehicles is evaluated by presenting NMOG(Non-Methane Organic Gases) levels with respect to MO and M8S, Withthese results, it is concluded that it has possiblity for FFVs to be a candidate of low emission vehicles, but more work on its durability improvement should be required.<br/>

Gimbal형 모션 시뮬레이터의 개발과 감성공학적 시험평가

본 연구개발에서 개발되어지고 있는 시뮬레이터는 롤러코스터를 모사 대상체로 하였고, 일반적인 Stewart 형식이 아닌 운동 대상체의 운동자유도를 짐발(Gimbal)형으로 재현하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 실시간 스케쥴러와 H/W 입출력 및 통신 드라이버에 대한 개발을 수행하였고, 시뮬레이션에 적합한 정확도와 실시간성을 유지하도록 롤러코스터 상에서 이루어지는 차량운동을 모델링 하였다. 또한 인간감성의 적용을 고려한 짐발형 모션 시스템의 운동 재현을 위해 워시아웃(Washout) 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 특히, 짐발형 모션 시스템의 운동 모사성을 객관적으로 검증하고 탑승자에 대한 시뮬레이터의 영향을 평가하기 위해 감성평가를 실시하였다. 감성평가를 위해 평가지에 의한 주관적 평가 방법과 탑승자의 생리신호를 측정하는 객관적 평가방법을 사용하였으며, 감성평가를 통한 결과치를 이용하여 워시아웃 알고리즘을 개선하였다.

During the autumn and winter in 1962 and spring in 1966, there were chances to face patients suffering from epidemic hemorrhagic fever..30 cases of the epidemic t'hemorrhagic fever patients were observed and treated throughout the entire admission course. . During the hospitalization, chest x-ray views were checked serially in the febrile or hypotensive phase, early oliguric phase, late oliguric,', phase and diuretic phase. Blood urea nitrogen levels were also checked simultaneously in the oliguric phase. 1. 36.7 per cent of . the cases showed pulmonary edema and cardiac enlargement on the chest x-ray views with bl000d urea nitrogen value showing 92.57mg % in average. There was a tendency that both chest x-ray changes and blood urea nitrogen levels were reaching peacks at the late oliguric phase. 2. Thre were slight cardiac enlargement with sightly increased bronchovascular markings and/or hilar shadows in 30 per cent of the cases. Blood ure nitrogen level showed 65.78 mg% in average. 3. 33.3 per cent of them were quite normal throughout whole clinical course on the chest x-ray views. However blood urea nitrogen level was 47.3mg// in average. 4. Generally the changes of the chest x-ray views and blood urea nitrogen levels changed in perallel with the clinical manifestations. It should be noted that pulmonary edema and cardiac enlargement are fundamentally caused by rather cardiopulmonary imbalance due to over-hydration than uremia per se. 5. Checking the chest x-ray changes is a relatively' simple and convenient method understanding substantial balance of the cardiopulmonary function in the oliguric phase and it is also a good indication to determine the amount of the daily supply of the fluid. 6. The most important phase for checking chest x-ray is that of the oliguric phase and there should be put an emphsis that the early initial chest x-ray view is a valuable one on reading the pictures checked subsequently in the oliguric phase.
