귀금속 촉매를 사용한 직접 보로하이드라이드 연료전지의 특성 연구

직접보로하이드라이드 연료전지는(direct borohydrides fuel cell. DBFC) 직접메탄을 연료전지가 갖는 메탄을 크로스오버(crossover)문제를 해결할 수 있어서, 휴대용 및 이동용 전원으로 활용하기 위하여 새롭게 대두되고있는 연료전지이다. 본 논문에서는 직접보로하이드라이드 연료전지의 전극제조 공정 확립을 위하여 여러 가지의 연료극 및 공기극 촉매를 선정하고 열가압법 (hot pressing)으로 전극을 제조하여 이에 대한 성능 특성을 고찰하였다. 공기극 촉매로는 Pt/C와 Pt black을 사용하였고, 연료극 촉매로는 Pt/C. Pt black, Au/C, $AB_5$ alloy를 사용하였다 제조된 전극 촉매는 XRD, SEM, EDS 등을 통한 특성 분석과 단위전지 운전을 통하여 I-V특성 분석이 이루어졌다. 다양한 촉매 조합을 통하여 촉매별 단전지 테스트를 한 결과 공기극 및 연료극 촉매를 Pt/C로 했을 때 가장 높은 성능인 366mW/mg을 얻을 수 있었다. Direct borohydrides fuel cell (DBFC) was emerged to complement the problem of DMFC's low performance and methanol crossover to the cathode and to apply the fuel cell to portable and mobile devices. In this study, the characteristics of novel catalysts was tested to establish the electrode preparation process of DBFC. Pt black and carbon supported-Pt by paste method were used as the cathode catalysts. Pt black, carbon supported-Au and $AB_5$ alloy were used as the anode catalysts. The characteristics of the electrodes were analyzed by XRD, SEM, EDS. The performance test of single cell using the electrodes were carried out in order to evaluate the electrode performance. In the result, the maximum power output was obtained as 366 mW/mg when using Pt/C as anode and cathode catalysts.

In this paper, the effect of the configuration of intake/exhaust fans on the cooling performance of CPU was investigated both numerically and experimentally. In the experiment, the temperatures of CPU and exhaust air were measured for various fan-configurations in order to find an optimal fan-configuration when the wall of PC case was in an adiabatic condition and CPU was cooled down by a fan with heat-sink. In the numerical simulations, steady conjugate heat transfer problems, where CPU with heat source is cooled down by both conduction and convection, were solved using a commercial code. The results of simulations qualitatively agreed with those of experiment in terms of cooling performance of CPU and the temperature and velocity fields obtained from simulations with four configurations were discussed.
Pechini법에 의한 Y-doped SrTiO<sub>3</sub> 분말의 합성

8 mol% Y-doped $SrTiO_3$ powder was synthesized by Pechini method from titanium isopropoxide, strontium nitrate, yttrium nitrate, citric acid and ethylene glycol. A $Y_2Ti_2O_7$ pyrochlore phase-free perovskite powder was obtained by calcining a polymeric resin, which was prepared from a precursor solution, at $500^{\circ}C$ in an air atmosphere. Low temperature calcination could lead to a fine-grained microstructure. In the case of a solid-state reaction, an extended heat-treatment at high temperature in a reduced atmosphere needed to obtain a single phase perovskite $SrTiO_3$.
