The integrity of the SG(Steam Generator) tubes has been challenged by numerous factors such as flaws, operation, atmosphere, inherently degraded materials, loose parts and even human errors. Of the factors, loose parts(or foreign materials) on the secondary side of the tubes can bring about volumetric defects and even leakage from the primary to the secondary side in a short period of time. More serious concerns about the loose parts are their unknown influx path and rapid growth rate of the defects affected by the loose parts. Therefore it is imperative to detect and characterize the foreign materials and the defects. As a part of the measures for loose part detection, TTS(Top of Tubesheet) MRPC(Motorized Rotating Pancake Coils) ECT has been carried out especially to the restricted high probability area of the loose part. However, in the presence of loose parts in the other areas, wide range loose part detection techniques are required. In this study, loose part standard tube was presented as a way to accurately detect and characterize loose part signals. And the SG tube ECT bobbin coil and MRPC ISI(In-service Inspection) data of domestic OPR-1000 and Westinghouse Model F(W_F) were reviewed and consequently, comprehensive loose part detection technique is derived especially by applying bobbin coil signals

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Korean Medicine on Vestibular Neuritis. Methods : The patient diagnosed as Vestibular Neuritis was Treated with Korean medicine, involving herbal medicine and acupuncture. We used Numeral Rating Scale(NRS) to observe the effect of the Treatment. Results : After the treatment, NRS scores of dizziness, nausea, abdomen discomfort were decreased. Conclusions : This study suggests that Korean medicine is effective on Vestibular Neuritis, but further studies should be followed.

Many crack flaws have been detected at tubing seal weld zone in Steam Generator with Alloy600 material tubes. it is very difficult to discriminate the signal from parent material and that from weld zone because weld zone gives complicated ECT signal due to manufacturing processes. ECT signal analysis in the seal weld zone is very important since the tubes with crack in this area shall be out of service by plugging. The purpose of this paper is to distinguish between Parent material and Weld Zone ECT signal in the seal weld zone through the demonstration test of Steam Generator seal weld mock-up.
Mo-Bi-V-Al복합 산화물 촉매의 제조와 메탄 부분산화에 의한 메탄올 합성반응에 응용

본 연구는 메탄 부분산화에 의한 메탄올 직접 합성을 위한 촉매 개발을 목표로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 Mo-Bi-V-Al 복합 산화물 촉매를 제조하였으며, 제조 방법에 따른 촉매 물성을 비교하고, 제조한 촉매를 이용하여 메탄올 합성반응을 수행하여 그 결과를 검토하여 보았다. 졸-겔법으로 제조한 촉매가 공침법으로 제조한 촉매보다 비표면적이 훨씬 컸다. 입자가 작고 표면적이 클수록 부분산화반응보다는 완전산화반응이나 메탄올 산화반응이 더 잘 진행되어 메탄올의 선택도는 낮아지고 이산화탄소의 선택도는 증가하였다. 졸-겔법으로 제조한 촉매가 공침법으로 제조한 촉매보다 약 20 ℃ 정도 더 낮은 온도에서 더 높은 메탄올 선택도(13%)를 보였다. 두 방법으로 제조한 촉매의 XRD 분석 결과 두 촉매의 결정 구조가 서로 달랐다. 본 반응에서 압력이 증가할수록 완전산화 반응이 억제되고 부분산화 반응이 일어나서 메탄올의 선택도는 증가하였고 이산화탄소의 선택도는 감소하였다.

Friction stir welding is a relatively new solid state joining process. A6061-T6 and A5052-H32 aluminium alloy has gathered wide acceptance in the fabrication of light weight structures requiring a high strength to weight ratio and good corrosion resistance. This friction stir process uses a non-consumable tool to generate frictional heat in the abutting surfaces. The welding parameters such as tool rotational speed, welding speed, etc., and tool pin profile play a major role in deciding FSP zone formation in A6061-T6 and A5052-H32 aluminium alloy. Three different tool pin profiles have been used to fabricate the dissimilar butt joints. The formation of friction stir processed zone has been analysed macroscopically. Tensile properties of the joints have been evaluated and correlated with the friction stir processed zone formation.
메탄 부분산화반응 촉매에 La 첨가 및 제조방법에 따른 촉매활성에 미치는 영향

메탄의 부분산화에 의하여 합성가스를 제조하였다. 저렴하며 본 반응에 활성이 좋은 것으로 알려진 Ni을 활성물질로, 우수한 산소 저장능력과 높은 산화?환원 특성을 지닌 CeO₂를 담체로 하여, 함침법과 우레아법으로 촉매를 제조하였다. 반응은 고정층 반응기를 이용하여 1 atm, 650~800℃에서 실시하였다. 표면적 측정 장치를 이용하여 촉매 제조법에 따른 표면적 차이를 비교해 본 결과 우레아법으로 제조한 촉매가 함침법으로 제조한 촉매보다 표면적이 약 11배 이상 큼을 알 수 있었고, SEM으로 표면 구조를 조사해본 결과 우레아법으로 제조한 촉매가 훨씬 더 미세하고 균일함을 알 수 있었다. 우레아법으로 제조한 촉매가 함침법으로 제조한 촉매보다 더 높은 메탄 전환율 및 합성가스 선택도를 나타내었다. 본 반응의 문제점인 탄소 침적을 줄이기 위하여 La을 첨가하여 탄소 침적에 미치는 La의 영향을 알아보았다. TGA(열중량 분석기) 분석 결과 La이 첨가되지 않은 촉매에는 약 16%의 탄소 침적이, La을 첨가한 촉매에는 약 2%의 탄소 침적이 형성되었다. 따라서 La 첨가는 탄소 침적을 줄여서 촉매 비활성화를 막은것으로 추정된다. Synthesis gas was produced by the partial oxidation of methane. For the preparation of catalysts, Ni, known to be active in this reaction and cheap, was used as the active component and CeO₂, having high oxygen storage capability and high redox ability, was used as the support. The catalysts were prepared by the impregnation and urea methods. The catalyst prepared by the urea method showed about 11 times higher surface area and finer particle size than that prepared by the impregnation method. The catalysts prepared by the urea method showed higher methane conversion and synthesis gas selectivity than that prepared by the impregnation method. In this reaction, carbon deposition is a problem to be solved, so La was added to the catalyst system to reduce the carbon deposition. TGA analysis results showed that there was 2% carbon deposition with La-added catalysts and 16% with La-free catalysts. It was found that the addition of La decreases the amount of carbon deposition and prevents catalyst deactivation.
