The purpose of this study is to select a synonym list and to discuss methods of describing synonyms for Korean learners. For selection of the synonym list, we will use lerner error corpus. Also we will select the list that abstracts errors of lexical replacement in same parts of speech from types of lexical errors, and compare the list with some lists of preceding studies and dictionaries. What is more, we will classify the list into two types according to cause of the creation of each error. The first type is semantical similarities. The second type is differences of registers.

배경 및 목적: 본 연구는 읽기이해부진 학생들이 일반 학생들과 비교하여 관용표현 이해능력의 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법: 본 연구는 중학교 3학년 학생들 중 읽기이해부진 학생 10명과 일반 학생 100명을 대상으로 관용표현의 의미투명도 및 문맥 제시 여부에 따른 30문항으로 이루어진 질문지를 검사하였다. 결과: 읽기이해부진 학생들이 일반 학생들에 비해 관용표현 이해능력이 유의하게 낮았으며, 일반 학생들과 달리 읽기이해부진 학생들은 의미투명도와 과제제시 유형이 관용표현 이해능력에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 통해 읽기이해부진 학생들의 경우에는 문맥 속에서 단서를 끌어내는 능력이 부족하다는 것을 알게 되었으므로 앞으로 읽기이해부진 학생들을 지도할 때에는 그들의 읽기이해능력의 향상을 위해서 그들의 이해 수준에 맞는 적절한 문맥을 활용하는 읽기 수업을 개발하고 진행해 나아가야 할 것이다. Objectives: This study aimed to compare the idiom comprehension abilities of middle school students with and without reading comprehension difficulty depending on seman-tic transparency and the context given. Methods: Ten 3rd year middle school students with reading comprehension difficulty and 100 without were asked to fill out a questionnaire composed of 30 idiomatic expressions, which were classified into three types by semantic transparency (half transparent, half opaque, opaque) and two types of tasks (independent and context-based). Results: The findings are as follows. The idiom comprehension ability of students with reading comprehension difficulty was significantly lower than the ability of normal readers. Students with reading comprehension difficulty were not affected by the semantic transparency of idioms, but normal readers were affected. While normal read-ers were affected by the task type, it had no effect on the idiom comprehension of students with reading comprehension difficulty. Conclusion: The study indicates that semantic trans-parency and context have no significant effects on the idiom comprehension of students with reading comprehension difficulty. Therefore, to improve the comprehension of stu-dents with reading comprehension difficulty, they should be exposed to various idioms in diverse situations. Also, reading education should be tailored to their level of understand-ing by developing various education models and utilizing proper contexts.

Spontaneous rupture of the kidney. W?nderlich syndrome, is a rare event but potentially life-threatening condition. The most comman causes are clear cell carcinoma, benign angiomyolipoma and vascular disease. Among this event, acute pyelonephritis is a very unusual cause. A 67-year-old diabetic woman was admitted with high fever and left flank pain due to acute pyelonephritis. She had uterine prolapse for 10 years with both renal hydronephrosis before this event. Abdominal ultrasonography and CT scan showed fluid collection around left kidney with a rupture of renal parenchyme at lower pole. The renal angiography showed displaced capsular artery due to subcapsular hematoma and decreased blood flow at lower pole. The percutaneous needle aspiration revealed blood collection around left kidney, which confirmed spontaneous rupture of the kidney. We report this case with a review of the relevant literature. 이 연구의 목표는 인지언어학의 관점에서 관용 표현에 대한 교수?학습방안을 제시하여, 학습자들이 관용 표현을 제대로 이해하고 사용할 수 있도록 하고 나아가 학습자들이 관용 표현을 통해 언어 사용자의 개념화 방식에 대해 관심을 갖도록 하는 데 있다. 지금까지의 관용 표현 교육은 관용 표현의 비합성성에 초점을 두고 있으며, 학습자에게 관용 표현의 목록을 제시하고 그 의미를 파악하도록 하는 데 머물러 왔다. 반면, 이 연구에서 이론적 기반으로 삼은 인지언어학의 관점에서는 관용 표현은 본질적으로 인간의 개념화 방식을 드러내는 것으로서, 관용 표현의 의미는 합성적이며, 관용 표현은 언어 사용자의 지식과 경험에 의해 동기화된다고 본다. 이러한 관점은 ``관용 표현에 담겨 있는 국어 생활 문화의 특성을 통해 한국인의 삶과 의식에 대해 이해할 수 있도록 한다``는 현행 교육과정의 교육 목표를 구현하는 데도 기여하는 바가 클 것이다. 따라서 이 연구는 인지언어학의 관점에서 관용 표현 교수·학습을 위한 새로운 모형을 3가지 제시하고, 관용 표현 교수·학습에 대한 새로운 방법론을 구체적으로 제시하기 위하여 관용 표현 교수·학습의 성취 기준, 학습 목표와 내용을 설정한다. 또한 실제 교실에서 사용할 수 있는 학습 방법 및 언어 자료의 실례를 보이고, 4차시에 해당하는 수업 흐름도를 간략히 제시한다. The purpose of this study is to make a pedagogical suggestion for teaching and learning idiomatic expressions from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. With this teaching methodology, it is expected to help students understand and use idiomatic expressions properly, and then have more interest in the conceptualization of language users. Teaching idiomatic expressions in class so far has mainly been focused on non-composition, and presenting a list of idiomatic expressions and understanding the meaning. However, in essence, idiomatic expressions reveal the way of human conceptualization, for idioms` meaning is compositional and is motivated by human knowledge and experience. Teaching-learning methodology based on cognitive linguistics will fit the objectives of current curriculum for Korean education. Thus, this study suggests 3 new models for teaching-learning idiomatic expressions, and then revised school achievement standards objectives and contents the lesson. In addition, learning strategies, examples of teaching materials, with a flow chart of the lesson are presented.

From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, form and meaning of a language is motivated by language-independent factors. Drawing on this view, the purpose of this study is to make a pedagogical suggestion for teaching and learning vocabulary by focusing on meaning and function. Teaching vocabulary in class so far has mainly been focused on understanding the system or rule from the perspective of structuralism, descriptive and generative linguistics. However, this trend of teaching-learning methodology does not seem to fit the objectives of current curriculum for Korean education, which emphasize ‘creative learning’. Even though the ‘New Contents of Revised Curriculum 2007’ puts the emphasis on the understanding of the vocabulary and its creative use, the textbooks still adhesively show the viewpoint of structuralism without semantic concerns. To overcome this issue, this paper suggests a new teaching-learning model based on motivation with a consideration of meaning and function. Section 2 provided a typology of relations between source and target, which may be exploited for motivational purpose. Section 3 considered language-independent factors of motivation in more detail and categorizes them in to various types.

The purpose of this study is to present the psychological capital as a leading factor affecting organizational commitment, to determine the role of job satisfaction as a mediator among those, and finally to find the way to increase the commitment by suggesting a new idea for human resources management in the foodservice firms which were having difficulties in finding new employees and in high turnover rates. A survey was conducted on the employees in foodservice firms including both franchise management and direct management restaurants for the period of the month of February 2012, and the data were analyzed with frequency analysis, reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, path analysis, and mediating effect analysis by using SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0. As a result of the study, the psychological capital factors such as hope, resiliency, and optimism had significant effects on organizational commitment, and job satisfaction strongly mediated the relations of the psychological capital factors as presented above and the organizational commitment.

The idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is a disorder marked by the sustained overproduction of eosinophils. The disease is characterized by damage of multiple organ including heart, nerve system, skin and lung due to eosinophilic infiltration and the diagnosis is one of exclusion. Rheumatologic manifestations of HES are infrequent. In about 10~40% of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients, persistent eosinophilia is observed. That can be due to the RA itself and is often associated with active disease and extra-articular features. Sometimes, it is attributed to the drug therapy, especially gold and penicillamine. We would like to report a 37-year-old female patient with HES who developed seronegative RA 2 years later.
