Bronchial Varices in a Patient with Behçet’s diasese: A Case Report

We report a case of a 65-year-old man with Behcet’s disease who presented with massive hemoptysis caused by bronchial varices. A computed tomography (CT) scan and bronchoscopy were performed to identify the bleeding site. The CT scan revealed pneumonia and a combined hemorrhage in the right-middle and lower lobes. Massive bleeding was detected during the bronchoscopy and emergency embolization was attempted but angiographic findings were normal. An anteriojugulo-right femoral bypass operation was performed to relieve the tortuous and hypertrophied jugular venous obstruction. However, thrombectomy and thrombolysis followed because of graft thrombosis six days post-surgery. The patient was treated with steroid and high-dose cyclophosphamide therapy for his Behçet’s disease, which caused the venous obstructions; the saccular bronchial varices in the right-middle and right lower lobes on bronchoscopy regressed slightly after four cycles of cyclophosphamide therapy
Controlled Wall Thickness and Porosity of Polymeric Hollow Nanofibers by Coaxial Electrospinning

Highly porous polymeric hollow nanofibers were developed using a method based on coaxial electrospinning with inner silicon oil and outer polymer solutions. This method was verified by the fabrication of polymeric hollow fibers, whose diameter and wall thickness could be varied by controlling the coelectrospinning parameters, such as the dielectric constant of the solvents, concentration of the polymer solution, molecular weights of the polymers and viscosity of the inner silicon oil phase. The entire diameter and wall thickness of the hollow fibers could be varied from 5to 15 μm and 180 to 900 nm, respectively. Highly porous polymeric hollow nanofibers were fabricated by coaxial electrospinning with a highly volatile solvent. The interior surface was quite smooth without pores. Therefore, pore formation occurred at the outer surface of the hollow fibers due to rapid solvent evaporation because the jet only occurred between the surface of the polymer solution and air. The smooth interior and highly porous outer surface, circular crosssection and uniform size of the hollow polymer nanofibers are expected to have attractive applications in areas, such as catalysis, optoelectronics, nanofluidics, drug delivery or biosensorics.
천호 피아식별기 모드5 성능개량을 위한 연동제어기 설계 및 구현

30mm차륜형대공포 개발 당시 모드5 피아식별기 및 AIMS 인증 절차에 대한 정보와 기술 부족으로 인하여 향후 피아식별기를 모드5로 성능개량 시에는 신궁 모드5 질문기를 이용하여 적용 추진하는 것으로 결정하고, 신궁 모드4용 질문기를 체계 환경에 적용 개발하였다. ’22년 6월 30일 이후 모드 4 피아식별기의 운용이 종료됨에 따라, 현 천호 체계의 피아식별기에 대해서 신뢰성 확보를 위해 모드5 피아식별기로 성능 개량이 필요하게 되었으며, 개발 당시 결정된 사항에 따라 신궁 모드 5 질문기를 이용하여 성능개량 방안을 검토한 결과 천호 체계의 AIMS인증을 위한 AIMS 기술문서에 명시된 Platform 요구사항과 신궁 모드5 질문기의 외부 인터페이스 만족을 위해, 신궁 모드5 질문기와 주장비 사이에 인터페이스를 연결해주는 연동제어기 구현이 필요하게 되었다. 본 문서는 천호 피아식별기 모드5 성능개량을 통한 피아식별기 신뢰성 확보를 위해 신궁 모드5 질문기의 동작을 분석하고, 이에 따른 도출된 요구사항을 기준으로 연동제어기에 대한 설계 및 구현 내용에 대해서 기술한다

Two cases of prostatic calculosis associated with bladder stone were presented. Prostatic calculosis is a rare condition in comparison with other urinary calculosis and in strict sense, it must be divided into two varieties including true and false. Case Ⅰ. 39year old male complained of urinary frequency, weak stream and terminal dribbling. A typical dumbbell shaped stone protruded into the urinary bladder and measured upper segment; 4.5×2.5×3.5㎝, lower segment; 4.5×3.5×3.0㎝, and weighed 58.5gm. CaesⅡ. 41year old male complained of dysuria,urinary fistula and mild suprapubic pain. Two small stones were lodged in the posterior urethra which were associated with a large bladder stone. The bladder stone measured 8×4.5×4.5㎝ and weighed 109.5gm. Two urethral stones measured 1.2×0.8×0.7㎝, 2.3×1.4×1.1㎝ and weighed 0.5gm and 2.5gm respectively. In addition to the complications of distal urethral stricture, urinary stasis and infection, both cases were associated not only with the bladder stone but resulted also in moderate bilateral hydronephrosis. The stones could be removed by suprapubic cystolithotomy which was considered to be the easiest technique with the fewest postoperative complication.
