The purpose of this study was to present basic data for effective procedures and improvement strategies to minimize hair damage at permanent wave. For this, the investigator treated damaged hair with (A) water wrapping procedure, (B) ampoule & permanent wave agent procedure, and (C) permanent wave agent procedure according to the method of reducing agent application and then examined hair surface with a scanning microscope, thus measuring tensile strength, extensity change. First, in order to examine the change of hair shapes, the surface of treated hair was enlarged by 1,000 times with a scanning microscope. (A) presented irregularly floated cuticles and keratosis. (B) presented epidermal swelling, distortion, floating and even detached cuticle. (C) presented floated or detached cuticle which could not be restored to its original state due to epidermal crack and abrasion. In general, (A) presented the least change of shapes, (C) presented the most change of shapes. Second, in order to examine the physical change of hair, the tensile strength and extensity of hair were compared among the three procedures. The change of tensile strength(f) was (A) > (B) > (C) in order. The change of extensity(%) was (C) > (B) > (A) in order. In conclusion, if one has her hair treated with permanent wave procedure, she must suffer from the chemical change of hair more or less. However, if she uses water wrapping procedure, the damage of hair seems to be prevented maximally.

Natural polyphenolic compounds such as catechin, epicatechin derivatives, quercetin, and resveratrol, have been reported to have a wide range of biological activities against carcinogen and reactive oxygen species. The compounds can act together in synergy or can independently affect the activity. Contents of four compounds in different grape cultivar groups with different skin color were determined through HPLC. There were not significant differences in content of four phenolic compounds among the different skin color groups of the same grape cultivar groups, but were among different grape cultivars within the same skin color groups. Totally, contents of catechin, epicatechin derivatives were much higher than those of quercetin and resveratrol. In each skin color group, Campbell Early in Black, Seneka in Green, and Benigard in Red group showed highest contents, respectively. Nothing or a very small amount of four phenolic compounds was detected in some cultivars. This information would be useful for grape breeders and manufactures.

The purpose of this study is to identity the effects of portfolio assessment by application time of test sheep on the elementary physical education learning. The conclusions were as follows : First, application time of test sheet at last for improvement in motor knowledge achievement on portfolio assessment. Second, no significant difference in motor skill improvement by application time of test sheet on portfolio assessment. Third, portfolio assessment methods had positive results in student satisfaction for physical education learning, It's more effective results in application time of test sheet at last. Fourth, it's more effective results in application time of test sheep at introduction for individual motor learning on portfolio assessment.
