      • 석탄 채굴공동 상부 터널의 안정성 분석

        본 연구는 석탄광 주변에 건설되는 터널이 채굴공동의 붕락으로 인한 지반침하에 의한 영향을 조사할 목적으로 수행되었다. 채굴적이 표시된 도면이 존재하지 않기 때문에 탄광이 보유하고 있는 갱내도와 함께 지층구조, 탄층의 부존상황을 종합적으로 판단하여 그 위치와 규모를 추정하였다. 또한 정밀 지표지질조사와 지표 전기비저항탐사를 통하여 지층구조 및 암반상태를 파악하였다. 이러한 조사 자료를 바탕으로 터널단면에 따른 지반구조를 구성하였으며 이들 단면에 대한 2차원 수치해석을 실시하여 채굴공동이 터널에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. This research has been conducted to investigate the influence of mined cavities on a tunnel to be constructed around a coal mine. The location and dimension of cavities were supposed by analysing synthetically geological structures and condition of coal beds as well as gangway map since there does not exist any map describing mined cavities. Detailed geological and geophygical survey have also been carried out for the purpose of understanding the geological structure and rock mass conditions. The two dimensional numerical analysis with FLAC has been performed on the geological sections reconstituted from the obtained information and the affects of mined cavities on the tunnel have been assessed.

      • 광미적치장 사면의 안정성 해석 및 대책

        To analyse the stability of a slope composed of waste material produced in a closed lead mine, numerical modeling has been carried out in two dimension using FLAC, finite difference program. The research was focused on the effect of the earthquake as well as a rise of water table upon slope stability. The numerical results have shown that the slope would not be safe against earthquake event and that the increase of pore pressure due to a rise of water table up to the ground level may result in a failure of the slope. On the basis of numerical analyses and site investigation, two sorts of measures have been taken. In short term, removal of a part of materials deposited on the top of the pile is required to increase immediately safety factor of the slope even a little. In ling term, it is necessary to repair drainage facilities and dam which covers waste material so that the slope is prevented from failure in a radical manner. It has been confirmed by numerical analyses that an improvenment of the stability can be in a great extent expected after such measures have been performed. 지금음 폐광된 한 광산에서 중석을 회수하는 과정에서 발생된 광미를 쌓아둔 적치장 사면의 안정성을 해석하고 그 대책을 수립하기 위하여 본 연구를 수행하였다. 안정성 해석을 위하여 FLAC 프로그램을 이용한 2차원 모델링을 수행하였다. 특히 지하수면의 상승뿐만 아니라 지진이 사면의 안정성에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 연구의 초점을 맞추었다. 전산해석 결과 광미 적치장 사면은 지진이 일어날 경우 안전하지 못하며, 지하수면 수준이 지표 근처까지 상승할 경우 파괴될 수도 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전산해석 및 현장조사를 기초로 두 가지의 보강 대책에 수립되었다. 단기적으로는 사면상단의 광미를 제거하여 안전율을 높이는 것이고, 장기적으로는 사면 피복시설과 배수시설을 보수하는 것이다. 이러한 공사가 완료되었을 때 사면의 안정성이 크게 향상될 수 있음이 수치해석 결과 확인되었다.

        신생혈관녹내장 환자의 방수내 변형성장인자-β와 혈관내피성장인자 농도와 아메드밸브 수술 결과

        Purpose: To assess the relationship of transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels in the aqueous humor of neovascular glaucoma (NVG) patients and the results of Ahmed valve implantation surgery. Methods: We compared surgical outcomes of NVG patients who underwent Ahmed valve implant surgery from January 2002 through October 2002 at severance hospital with levels of TGF-β1, TGF-β2 and VEGF in the aqueous humors of these patients. Results: Nineteen eyes (19 patients) were analyzed in the study. The success of surgery was defined as intraocular pressure maintained as 6-20 mm Hg regardless of additional glaucoma medications taken. Twelve eyes (63%) satisfied successful surgery. TGF-β1 concentration was 1.51 ng/ml in the success group and 2.31 ng/ml in the failed group (p=0.295). TGF-β2 concentration was 5.19 ng/ml in the success group and 5.73 ng/ml in the failed group (p=0.367). VEGF concentration was 10.21 ng/ml in the success group and 9.87 ng/ml in the failed group (p=0.516). All showed no statistical difference between the groups. Conclusions: In our study, no significant relationship between levels of TGF-β1, TGF-β2, or VEGF in the aqueous humor and the surgical outcomes of Ahmed valve implantation were found in patients with NVG.

        굴절교정레이저각막절제술과 레이저각막절삭성형술에서 신경성장인자의 농도와 의미

        Purpose: To determine whether tear nerve growth factor (NGF) concentration correlates with corneal sensation and ocular surface dryness after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). Methods: A prospective, non-randomized comparative clinical trial. Seventy eyes of 35 patients and 76 eyes of 38 patients underwent PRK and LASIK procedures to correct myopia and myopic astigmatism, respectively. Total tear protein level, tear NGF concentration, corneal sensation, tear film break-up time (BUT) and Schirmer values were measured before and 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after the surgery. Results: The postoperative mean tear NGF/total tear protein ratio (NGF/tP) increased in both PRK and LASIK patients compared to their preoperative levels (p<0.0001). At 1 week and 1 month postoperatively, the NGF/tP ratio was higher in PRK than in LASIK subjects (p<0.0001). Up to 6 months postoperatively, the mean corneal sensation after LASIK in the ablated zone was lower than the preoperative sensation (p<0.0001), whereas this was not the case in PRK subjects. Mean BUT and Schirmer values were significantly lower in LASIK-treated eyes compared to PRK-treated eyes up to 6 months postoperatively (p<0.0001). The early postoperative tear NGF/tP ratio correlated with the postoperative 6 month corneal sensation, BUT and Schirmer values. Conclusions: The difference in postoperative corneal sensation and ocular surface dryness between PRK- and LASIK-treated eyes was related to the difference in the early postoperative levels of NGF/tP, which implies NGF might influence corneal nerve regeneration after these two surgeries.

      • 휠체어 장착형 지능형 재활 로봇을 위한 칼라 비전 시스템

        KARES(KAIST Rehabilitation Engineering System)는 보조자 없이 팔과 다리가 불편한 장애인과 노약자가 쉽게 이동하며 일상 생활을 하는 것을 돕기 위하여, 6 자유도의 로봇 팔과 휠체어에 장착한 형태의 재활 로봇 시스템이다. 재활 로봇 시스템에서 로봇 팔을 프로그램하고 제어할 수 있는 인터페이스 장치는 매우 중요하다. 특히 사용자가 로봇 팔을 직접 제어하는 경우, 사용자의 인지력의 부담이 심하고 조작의 어려움을 느낀다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 로봇이 자율적으로 작업을 수행하기 위한 칼라 비전 시스템을 제안하고 기본적으로 필요한 네 가지 작업을 정하였다. 로봇 팔에 아이-인-핸드 형태로 카메라를 장착하여 칼라 비전 시스템을 구축하고, 탁자 위에 있는 칼라 표식이 부착된 컵을 잡는 작업과 작은 컵을 입 근처로 이동하는 작업을 구현하였다. 그 결과, 실내 환경에서 실시간에 성공적으로 수행되었다. KARES (KAIST Rehabilitation Engineering System) is the rehabilitation robot system in the type of the 6 degrees of freedom robot arm mounted on the wheelchair, in order to assist the independent livelihood of the disabled and the elderly. The interface device for programming and controlling of the robot arm is essential in the rehabilitation robotic system. Specially, in the case of the manual operation of the robot arm, the user has the burden of cognition and the difficulty for the operation of the robot arm. As a remedy, color vision system for the autonomous performance of jobs is proposed, and four basic desired jobs are specified. By mounting the camera in eye-in-hand type, color vision system for KARES is set up. The desired jobs for picking up the target and moving it to the user's face for drinking are successfully performed in real-time at the indoor environment.

        연구논문(硏究論文) : 종분포모형을 이용한 수원청개구리의 번식기 서식지 분석

        Hyla suweonensis is an endemic species and is designated as the only endangered species I among amphibians in 2012 by the Ministry of Environment, however studies about its habitat are lacking. This study was carried out to analyze habitat of H. suweonensis based on the spatial information using Maxent (Maximum entropy model as a species distribution model. We detected 45 present points until 2013 and 10 environmental variables by literature review for the model. The results showed that 429km2 (0.95%) of the study area, which was about 7.75% of the total agricultural area, was high possible habitats of H. suweonensis. The habitat of H. suweonensis was analyzed by over 1km2 rice paddy fields that were lower elevations, flat slopes, and not fragmented. The distance from forests and rivers was identified as a factor that affects its habitat possibilities. In order to conserve H. suweonensis, a large area of rice paddy fields should be preserved, and especially the area around forests and rivers would be required more intensive management. In addition, to compensate for degraded habitats of H. suweonensis in urban areas like as Suwon city, considering integrated watershed management strategy could be effective in the perspective of ecological habitat network of H. suweonensis.

        지역규모의 지형경관 보전을 위한 상대고도 분석 방법론 제안: 분석범위 설정을 중심으로

        Given the structure of Korean mountains, it is more appropriate to apply the relative elevation method than the absolute elevation method. However, so far there were not suitable quantitative methodologies to analyze relative elevation, these analytical concepts were difficult to be utilized in urban environmental planning. This study suggested three methods for analyzing relative elevation, and one method for setting the analytical scope of relative elevation by calculating terrain relief. The results showed that the procedure considering 500m radius of each point and standardizing to 30% of the 7th height ridge was the most effective method to extract the local topography. This methodology is the quantitative tool to be able to conserve local important hills and ridges, and apply to fields of urban environmental planning and ecological restoration, especially urban ecological network.

        국립재활원 재활연구소에서는 상지의 움직임이 어려운 장애인을 위하여 끈적이는 밥을 포함한 한식 대응이 가능한 식사보조로봇을 개발하고 있다. 식사보조로봇으로 중증장애인도 본인의 의지를 바탕으로 먹고 싶은 음식을 먹고 싶을 때 먹을 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 중증장애인의 사용자 테스트에 의하면 식사보조로봇의 입력장치가 중요한 부분 중 하나이다. 버튼형 입력장치와 조이스틱형 입력장치를 이용하여 식사보조로봇과 연결하여 사용자 테스트를 수행하여 각각의 장단점을 분석하였다. 중증 장애인이 편리하게 식사하기에 용이한 조이스틱 중심의 입력장치의 주요 인자를 도출하였다. Self-feeding robot supports users to eat the chosen food when they want it. In accordance with usability tests of the self-feeding robot, the input device is one of important parts.
