In this paper, We analysis HSR/PRP packet based on IEC 62439-3 Standard. IEC 62439-3 was adopted by IEC TC57 WG10 as the redundancy method for demanding substation automation networks operating on layer 2 networks, according to IEC 61850-8-1 and IEC 61850-9-2. SV(sampled value) for process bus based digital substation requires bumpless recovery time.

This paper analyzes the time synchronization in digital substation network redundancy by IEC 62439-3. Synchronization of sampled values is very important in process bus-based digital substations. Therefore, when designing a digital substation, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of the redundant clock and satisfy the requirements by IEC 62439-3.

In this paper, We analysis SV(Sampled values) based on IEC 61850 9-2 Standard. Since the data and requirements set according to the document are different, it is necessary to understand IEC 61850 9-2 LE, 61869-9 related to SV. Accordingly, when designing a process bus-based digital substation system, it is desirable to identify the relevant standards so that interoperability problems do not occur.

Data exchange are important for reliable operation of IEC 61850 based protections in power systems. In this paper, we demonstrate the acquisition of phasor data using GOOSE and SV and bus differential backup protection based on IEC 61850. Particularly, in IEC 61850 based 22.9kV bus differential backup protection, time synchronization errors among IEDs should be compensated because differential current errors due to time synchronization errors can result in mis-operation of the IED. On the other hand, to transmit GOOSE periodically, the statistical calculation model is needed to update data. In this paper, we propose a method for compensating time synchronization errors using Lagrange interpolation with reference voltages measured at each IED. The test result shows that the proposed method can reduce the differential current error significantly.
