Welding process involves large number of interdependent variables which may affect product quality, productivity and cost effect in pipeline industry. Especially, it is essential to make the automated welding system on inner-pipe welding due to the change welding conditions for different welding environments. In this study, we have carried out the sequential experiment to select the standard welding conditions for inner-pipe welding and develop the suitable 3 neural network to predict the optimized welding conditions. Finally, Management system for inner-pipe welding conditions have develop to get better welding quality. With the use of the developed system, It can be more simple to use the automatic welding process and optimization technique.

The full automation welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, productivity, microstructure and weld properties in arc welding processes have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on the specific experimental results. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop an neural network model to predict the weld top-bead height as a function of key process parameters in the welding. and to compare the developed models using three different training algorithms in order to select an adequate neural network model for prediction of top-bead height.

In this paper, the possibilities of the Infra-red sensor in sensing and control of the bead geometry in the automated welding process are presented. Infra-red sensor is a well-known method to deal with the problems with a high degree of fuzziness so that the sensor is employed to build the relationship between process variables and the quality characteristic the proposed above respectively. Based on several neural networks, the mathematical models are derived from extensive experiments with different welding parameters and complex geometrical features. The developed system enables to select the optimal welding parameters and control the desired weld dimensions during arc welding process.

Optimization of process variables such as arc current, welding voltage and welding speed in terms of the weld characteristics desired is the key step in achieving high quality and improving performance characteristics without increasing the cost. Consequently, incorrect settings of those process variables give rise to deviations in the welding characteristics from the desired bead geometry. Therefore, trainee welders are referred to the tabulated information relating different metal types and thickness as to recommend the desired values of process variables. Basically, the bead geometry plays an important role in determining the mechanical properties of the weld. So that it is very important to select the process variables for obtaining optimal bead geometry. However, it is difficult for the traditional identification methods to provide an accurate model because the optimized welding process is non-linear and time-dependent. 나노기술종합발전계획이 2001년에 수립 · 추진된 이후 5년여 동안 전국의 35개 대학에서 학부 및 석박사 과정에 나노관련 39개 학과가 개설되어 537명의 교수진이 참여하고 있으며 4,397명의 학생이 재학중이다. 다학제간 협력이 필요한 나노기술의 특성상 운영중인 교과목에도 이학계열과 공학계열 뿐만 아니라 다양한 전공과목이 포함되어 있으며, 향후 나노기술과 IT, BT, ET가 융합한 나노융합기술의 발전과 사회적인 요구에 따라 대학에서의 나노기술교육도 더욱 다양화 될 것으로 전망된다.

In this research work attempts were made to study the bonding of thermoplastics with adhesives using solar energy. In order to study the curing behaviour necessary experiments were conducted under varying conditions of temperature, exposure time and power. The cured samples were then studied under the optical microscope before subjecting to tensile testing in order to study their mechanical properties. The fracture surfaces were further studied under the Scanning Electron Microscopy in order to study the microstructural changes that are taken place during curing. From the present study it is evident that curing under higher solar energy temperature, generally improves bond strength and quality of the adhesive joints when compared to other modes of curing process expect the microwave curing process.
