Purpose: To evaluate the effects of age on the distributional variability of peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RFNL) thickness measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT) in myopia. Methods: Only the right eye of 64 myopic patients with long axial length (≥24.5 mm) was included in the present study. The patients were divided into 2 age groups, 20 to 39 years of age and 40 to 59 years of age. Eventually, 42 subjects were selected and matched based on the difference of axial length not exceeding 0.5 mm between subjects in each group. The RFNL thickness was measured using Stratus OCT and average thickness, angular locations of double humps, and false-positive rate were compared. Results: In both groups, the distribution of RNFL thickness in a double hump pattern was observed, which had a deviation to the temporal side only in the younger myopic eye group, but not in the middle-aged group. The middle-aged group had significantly thinner RNFL in 1, 7, and 8 clock-hour sectors compared to the younger myopic eyes (p ≤ 0.02). Probability of abnormal OCT parameters at the 5% level of the 2 groups with the built-in RNFL normative database was not significantly different. Conclusions: The variability of RFNL thickness distribution related to axial length was less observed in the middle-aged group than the younger-aged group. These results should be considered in glaucoma diagnosis when using OCT.

Purpose: Recently, the introduction of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) has enabled measurement of retinal thickness in the posterior pole in 64 sectors. SD-OCT was used to evaluate the diagnostic effectiveness in detecting glaucomatous abnormality of visual field sensitivity. A normal value for retinal thickness was determined and then compared in corresponding local sectors. Methods: Thirty healthy controls and 30 glaucoma subjects were evaluated. Macular thickness values from the 4 adjacent square cells in an 8 x 8 posterior pole retinal thickness map were averaged for a mean retinal thickness (MRT) value. A normative database was prepared using the data from the healthy eyes of this study to determine the diagnostic criteria for MRT. If the MRT value was <5% (Criteria A) or <1% (Criteria B) of the normative database, it was considered to be abnormal. The abnormalities of the MRT value for each diagnostic criteria were compared with the visual field sensitivity results in the corresponding positions. Results: The concordance of abnormalities between MRT and visual field sensitivity at 16 measured points was low in both criteria A (Kappa value; -0.418~0.429) and B (Kappa value; -0.363~0.444). Based on the results of the visual field at each focal point, the sensitivities and specificities of MRT values using the 2 criteria ranged from 0% to 100%. Conclusions: In this study, MRT values showed low correlation and diagnostic ability to detect decreased sensitivity of the visual field in corresponding points, when customized criteria derived from a normative database were applied. Korean society still recognizes domestic labors as women’s own traditional role and there have been reports that women are being discriminated against as human resources. While there are many factors that impede women’s sustainable careers in workplace and social phenomena, it is necessary to investigate the factors that satisfy job environments perceived by women workers as the necessity of utilizing female workforce continue to increases. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the factors of job characteristics and job environment in Korean culture where prioritizes organizations are perceived by female workers and how these factors affect their life and job satisfaction. furthermore, the study investigates the factors that the corporations have to focus more for women’s sustainable economic activities. An empirical analysis showed that the job characteristics and environments recognized by Korean female workers surrounded by unique organizational culture has affected job satisfaction and their life when given appropriate authorities and recognition with gender equality in autonomous environment as well as the presence of colleagues who can sympathize with rather than competitiveness and rewards. In particular, it confirmed that human resource is the most positive factor that influences both life satisfaction and job satisfaction. This allows the government to establish the policies for women and to identify how workplace environment and culture should be created for the corporations to make full use of female labor force.

Metal Organic Framework (MOF) is porous material that is self assembled by coordinate covalent bond with metal cluster and organic ligand. Characterized by high surface area, catalytic activity, adsorption capacity, uniform porosity, low-temperature regeneration properties. In this work, four types of materials with different physical properties were selected from MOF, a new water-adsorption materials. These selected adsorbents show slow water adsorption capacity in the relative humidity range of P/P<SUB>0</SUB>=0.1~0.3. The surface properties of MOF were modified by simple method (salt impregnation) with NaBr to develop an adsorbent having a higher water uptake. After salt impregnation on the all materials, the adsorption capacity under P/P<SUB>0</SUB> = 0.1~0.3 at 25℃ was increased.

Solution processed IGO thin films were prepared using a general chemical solution route by spin coating. The effect of the annealing temperature of IGO thin films based on the ratio of 2:1 of indium to gallium on crystallization was investigated with varying annealing temperature from 300 °C to 600 ˚C. The electronic device characteristic of IGO thin film was investigated. The solution-processed IGO TFTs annealed at 300 and 600 °C in air for 1 h exhibited good electronic performances with field effect mobilities as high as 0.34 and 3.83 cm2/V·s, respectively. The on/off ratio of the IGO TFT in this work was 10(5) with 98% transmittance.
Biological Pathway 정보를 위한 바이오 온톨로지 기반의 XML DB

최근 바이오인포메틱스 분야는 IT의 발전과 더불어 급속한 발전을 이루어 왔다. 또한 기존의 분자생물학분야의 연구들을 컴퓨터의 첨단 기술을 이용하여 자동화, 전산화하는 것으로 생명정보의 데이터베이스 구축을 시작으로 서열정보의 주석처리 등이 발전되어 왔다. 또한 분자생물학의 오랜 연구결과들 중 수많은 문헌들을 토대로 한 분석인 텍스트마이닝, 정보추출은 전산학의 방법으로 데이터를 추출, 수집하여 분자생물학 데이터의 양적 팽창을 더욱 가속화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수집된 biological Pathway 정보의 효율적인 저장, 재사용 그리고 활용을 위해 바이오 온톨로지 기반의 XML DB를 설계하고자 한다. XML 스키마를 이용해 표현한 온톨로지를 기반으로 다양한 포맷의 생물학 데이터를 수집하고 수집된 데이터들로 XML DB를 구축한 후 Biological Pathway 정보 표현과 재사용, 나아가 생명정보학 응용분야에 활용하려 한다.
