To evaluate the antitumor activity and antimetastatic effects of HDBT, studies were done experimentally. The results were obtained as follows: 1.HDBT extracts didn't show cytotoxicity against BALB/C mouse lung fibroblast cell. 2.In cytotoxicity against A549, SK-OV-3, B16-BL6 and HT1080 concen-tration inhibiting cell growth up to below 30% of control was recognized at 10^-3g/ml of HDBT. 3.The concentration inhibiting adhesion of A549 and B16-BL6 to compex extracellular matrix up to below 30% of control was recognized at 10^-3g/ml of HDBT. 4.In Inhibitory effect on activity of DNA topoisomerase I, the IC_50 was shown 200-300㎍/㎖ of HDBT. 5.The T/C% was 137.9% in HDBT-treated group in S-180 bearing ICR mice. 6.In CAM assay, HDBT extracts inhibited angiogenesis significantly at 15㎍/egg concentration as compared with control. 7.In pumonary colonization assay, a number of colonies in the lungs were decreased but insignificantly in HDBT-treated group as compared with control group. 8.In hematological changes in B16-BL6 injected C57BL/6, numbers of WBC were decreased significantly in HDBT-treated group but numbers PLT were increased insiggificantly as compared with control. From above results it was concluded that HDBT could be usefully applied for the prevention and treatment of cancer.

To svaluate the antitumor and antimetastatic effects of Samiyeongeontanggamibang(SYTG), We have examined whether SYTG can inhibit the growth of several tumor cell lines, tumor cell adhesion, experimental tumor metastasis and increase survival rate of tumor-bearing mice by inhibition of DNA topoisomrase activity. The results were obtained as follows: 1. SYTG extracts revealed an efficient cytotoxicity against A549, SK-OV-3, B16-F10, and SK-MEL-2 cell lines. 2. SYTG extracts inhibited DNA topo-isomerase I from calf thymus. 3. The T/C% in S-180 bearing ICR mice treated with SYTG was 115.8% 4. SYTG extracts significantly inhibited adhesion of A549 cell to complex extracellular matrix. 5. In pulmonary colonization assay, SYTG suppressed lung metastases in tumor cell-injected mice. 6. In CAM assay, SYTG extracts inhibited angiogenesis at 15ug/egg concentration as compared with control. These results suggested that SYTG extracts might be a potent inhibitor of cancer.

This study aims to find the method that can be used to simulate the tension behavior ofhead-splice sleeve and suggest an optimized dimension of it. On the base of the experimentalresult of previous researchers, Finite element analysis was performed in this paper. From the analysis, it was found that the tension behavior could be suitably simulated byapplying the contact element to the surface of bar and sleeve. Additional analyses were performedby using the contact element and then the optimized dimension of head-splice sleeve wassuggested 본 연구의 목적은 헤드형 스플라이스 슬리브의 인장거동을 적절히 묘사할 수 있는 해석방법을 찾고이 해석방법을 이용하여 최적화된 슬리브 시스템의 규격을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 기존 연구자의헤드형 스플라이스 슬리브에 대한 실험적인 연구를 바탕으로 유한요소해석을 진행하였다. 해석을 통하여 모르타르와 강재사이에 접촉요소를 적용함으로써 슬리브의 인장거동을 적절하게 묘사할 수 있는것으로 나타났다. 그리고 제시된 접촉요소를 기반으로 한 해석을 실시하여, 최적화된 헤드형 스플라이스 슬리브의 규격을 제안하였다.
