점자악보(Braille Music) 관련 주요 논점 분석과 향후 연구를 위한 기호학적 탐색

This study purposes on developing the affordances of Braille music for the MVI(Musicians with Visual Impariment) under the theoretical framework of semiotics. Under the purpose, this study firstly reviews the backgrounds of the development of (literary and music) Braille and the literature on the theory and practices of Braille in music education. Then, this study identifies the current contradicting issues on Braille and discusses the problems that Braille music is embedded in. Finally, this study suggests the key notions and criteria for revising Braille music from the seminal concept, affordance: the three elements of Braille music affordance, i.e. mediational means, appropriation, mastery, and the three criteria, i.e., adaptability, learnability, availability. Based on this semiotic framework of Braille music, further studies will be forstered on the redeveloping the structure and practices of Braille music education.

포스트휴먼 인문학의 이론적 배경 및 성격과 연구의 방향

This study aims to propose theoretical backgrounds, characteristics, and research directions for posthuman humanities research. To achieve this goal, the study poses three research questions: 1) What is the conceptual background of posthuman humanities? 2) On what philosophical bases can the posthuman humanities be discussed and explored? 3) With what perspectives can the posthuman humanities address the major themes of the humanities? The study argues that four theories of posthumanism (new materialism, object-oriented ontology, post-phenomenology, and non-representational theory) can comprehensively suggest ethical perspectives for posthuman humanities. Additionally, the study examines three philosophical considerations: ontology, epistemology, and axiology, to explore the posthuman being, knowledge, and world views of posthuman society, and the criteria of values for the posthuman society. The study also discusses the conceptualization of language in the context of multiculturalism through the lens of posthuman perspectives. The findings of this study may offer new insights into posthumanism in the field of humanities. .

이중어 창의성의 이론적 토대와 관련 요인의 분석

This paper aims to build a theoretical basis of the arguable relationships between bilingual ability and creativity by reviewing the research findings on this theme. Having this purpose, this paper first of all critically reviews previous research on the degree of bilingualism and cognitive ability by focusing on the three kernel variables- inhibitory control, selective attention, and working memory utilization skills. Second, to extend the discussion to the area of creativity this paper examines recent studies on the association of bilingualism with creativity. Centering on the term bilingual creativity, this paper discusses the domain(language)-specific and domain-general characteristics of this notion to suggest the future directions of related research. Third, this paper discusses three dominantly referred variables on bilingual creativeness-meta-linguistic awareness, analytic/divergent thinking, and problem solving skills-on how these variables address the effect of bilingualism on creativity. This paper finally notes on some methodological drawbacks and cautionary points for interpretation for the future research on bilingual creativity. (Chonbuk National University)

포스트휴먼 다문화주의의 등장 : 이론적 기초, 개념적 범주, 그리고 주요 특성

This paper aims to overcome the ideological limitations of previous anthropocentric multiculturalism by suggesting posthuman multiculturalism as an alternative approach. To address this theme, this paper set two kernel research questions: first, what are the epistemological basis, conceptual frameworks, and ideological characters of posthuman multiculturalism?; second, what are the philosophical (i.e., ontological, epistemological, and axiological) foundations and the directions research of posthuman multiculturalism? The core results of this papers discussion can be epitomized as follow: Posthuman multiculturalism i) seeks to explore some ethico-philosophical perspectives for securing the co-existance between the human and the non-human beings; ii) enlarges the spectrum of discussions in feminism, critical race theory, post-colonialism, and critical cultural studies about the human society, over the problems of power, alienation, discrimination, objectification, etc., to the ecological and technical world; iii) expands the discussion for multiculturalism from the field of humanities and social science to that of natural science with post-European, post-rational, and post-technological criticism; and iv) resets the theoretical foundations from four sub-theories of actor-network theory, new-materialism, object-oriented ontology, and non-representative theory. This paper’s discussion may serve for enlarging the spectrum of multiculturalism apt to the emerging both ecological and technological society. 본고는 생태주의와 기술주의가 동시에 대두되는 현 시대적 상황 속에서 기존의 인본주의적 다문화주의를 대신하는 포스트휴먼 다문화주의라는 새로운 철학 및 이론적 관점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본고는 포스트휴먼 다문화주의의 이론적 기반이되는 인식론적 기초가 무엇인지, 포스트휴먼 다문화주의가 포괄하는 개념적 범주는 어떠한지, 그리고 포스트휴먼 다문화주의의 성격은 무엇인지에 대해 논의하였다. 본고에서 논의된 포스트휴먼 다문화주의에 대한 저자의 핵심 주장은 다음과 같다. i) 포스트휴먼 다문화주의는 기존의 다문화주의가 암묵적 전제하고 있었던 인류중심주의(anthropocentrism)와 인본주의의 관점을 넘어 인류가 인류 이외의 생태적 존재들 및기술적 존재들과 상생하며 공존하기 위한 윤리철학적(ethico-philosophical) 방향성을모색하려는 시도이다. ii) 기존의 페미니즘, 비판적 인종이론, 후기식민주의 이론, 비판적 문화이론 등의 차원에서 논의되어왔던 권력, 소외, 차별, 타자화 등에 대한 비판적관점을 인간 사회의 범주에서 생태적, 기술적 사회의 범주로 확장시키고자 한다. iii) 포스트휴먼 다문화주의는 탈유럽-, 탈이성-, 탈기술-중심주의적 문화에 대한 이해를 바탕으로, 다문화주의에 대한 논의를 인문사회과학적 장에서 자연과학적 학술의 영역으로확장시키고 있다. 마지막으로 iv) 포스트휴먼 다문화주의의 이론적 기초는 일원론적세계관에 입각하여, 세계 속의 인간의 의미와 역할을 네 가지 포스트휴먼 하위이론들—세상 모든 존재들의 연결망(행위자-망이론), 마음-신체의 일원론적 통합(신물질주의), 인간과 사물의 공진화와 사물주체성, 그리고 탈인본주의적 정치윤리학(비대표성이론)—을 바탕으로 다문화주의에 대한 이론적 틀을 새롭게 설정하고자 한다. 본고의논의는 향후 생태성, 문화성, 기술성이 융합된 사회에서 다문화주의의 관점과 역할을확장시키는데 의미있는 시사점을 제공해줄 수 있을 것이다.

Linguistic Capital and Code-switching: Korean Bilingual Students' Appreciation of Heritage Language Learning

본고는 언어전환의 화용론적 기능을 넘선 사회-정치적 기능의 측면에 초점을 맞추고자, 이중언어 구사자들의 언어전환 양상을 Bourdieu (1991)의 ‘언어자본’ (linguistic capital)의 이론적 개념을 가지고 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위한 하나의 사례연구로써, 미국 내 한 한글학교에서 한글을 배우는 4명의 1.5세 재미교포 학생들의 한글수업을 교사의 자격으로 참여 관찰하여 그들의 언어전환 양상을 기록하고 분석하였다. 본고는 첫째, 모국어 교실에서 이중어 구사학생들의 언어전환 양상이 어떻게 그들의 미국내 소수언어아동들로서 모국어(한국어)와 현지어(영어)에 대한 상이한 가치부여를 드러내며, 둘째, 그들의 언어전환이 (한국어)교사의 담론들(discourses)과 어떤 식으로 순응 (alignment) 및 대립(conflict)의 교섭(negotiation)양상을 보이는가에 초점을 맞추고자 한다. 이 분석을 통하여 본고는, 재미교포 1.5세 한/영 이중어 구사학생들의 언어전환이 한국어와 영어의 상이한 언어자본으로서의 가치에 대한 그들의 다양한 태도와 그들의 민족언어정체성 (ethno-linguistic identity)을 반영하는 한 지표가 됨을 강조하고, 언어전환 양상과 민족-언어정체성의 관계성에 대한 논의를 덧붙인다.

신물질주의적 유아 리터러시: 개념과 성격 및 사례 분석

This paper ventures to dismantle previous theoretical foundations, such as humanism, ecologism, or constructivism, by proposing posthumanism as a newly emerging onto-epistemological paradigm on children’s literacy. To pursue this aim, this paper adopts new materialism and analyzes about 500 children’s picture books published as children’s literature. The core research questions of this paper are two-fold: First, what are the notions, theoretical bases, and principles of new material children’s literacy?; and Second, how posthuman chanracters and principles are applied in actual children’s picture books? The major arguments of this paper are: First, materiality, multi-modality, and affection can be the core components of posthuman children’s literacy; Second, new material literacy tend to project post-human identity and thing-subjectivity, post-contextual hybrid-virtuality, and post-cognitive embodiment. This paper’s argument may broaden the theoretical horizen of children’s literacy. .

COVID-19로 촉발된 ‘비대면 교육’의 교육적 의미와 미래적 전망

본고는 COVID-19 사태의 장기화로 인한 학교교육의 파행을 막기 위해 확대되어 시행되고 있는 비대면 교육이 어떤 교육적 의미를 갖는지에 대해 논의하였다. 이를 위해 본고는 다음 세 가지 논점을 중심으로 비대면 교육의 확산이 갖는 교육적 의미를 논의하고 있다. 첫째, 4차 산업혁명으로 상징되는 기술적 혁신은 비대면 형식의 학교교육이 자연스러운 교수학습의 한 형태가 될 수 있다는 것이다. 둘째, 비대면 교육은 세가지 포스트휴머니즘의 하위 이론들―신물질주의, 행위자-망 이론, 포스트현상학―의 차원에서 그 이론적 토대와 교육적 의미를 설명할 수 있다. 셋째, 비대면 교육은 미래의 학교교육이 경험하게 될 네 가지 변화의 양상들―지식 생태계의 변화, 학교교육 범주의 확장, 뉴 리터러시의 등장, 그리고 교사의 역할 변화―에 비추어볼 때, 매우 의미 있고 시의 적절한 학교교육의 변화의 방식이 될 수 있다는 것이다. 본고는 비대면 교육이 비록 COVID-19 사태로 인해 불가피하게 확대되어 시행되고 있지만, 교수방법론의 측면에서 매우 의미 있는 변화를 가져오는 기회가 될 수 있음을 강조하고 있다. 본고는 기술기반 비대면 교육의 이론적 배경과 그 실천적 의미에 대한 학계와 교육현장의 논의를 촉발할 수 있을 것이다.

포스트휴먼 시대를 위한 다문화주의의 비판적 재고찰

This paper is triggered by the reflection that the humanistic paradigms of multiculuralism hitherto is not appropriate to address the ideas and issues of upcoming posthuman world. To tackle this problem, this paper ventures to reorient the humanistic tenets of multiculuralism through a posthumanistic lens, in terms of existential, epistemological, and axiological perspectives. The three major lines of arguments are, accordingly, as follow: First, to understand the existential meaning of posthuman entities, this paper analyzed the kernel concepts of humanism (i.e., subjectivity, self-identity, human rights, and freedom). Based on this analysis of the posthuman conditions, this paper suggested the rightful directions of multiculturalism. Second, by positing the epistemological ground of posthumanism a tripod relationship among body-mind-ecology, this paper introduced the agency-network theory and proposed post-anthropocentric eco-politics as alternative theoretical standpoints for investigating posthumanism. Third, regarding axiological discussion, this paper critically reviewed the practices of advanced capitalistic eco-politics as a driving force for posthuman technologies, and suggested critical posthumanism as a conceptual foundation to build multiculturalism for promoting social justice. The discussions of this paper can draw the attention of the field of multiculturalism facilitating ecological ethics and social justice in the era of posthumanism. 본고는 급속하게 전개되는 포스트휴먼 시대를 맞이하여 인본주의에 기반 한 다문화주의의 존재론, 인식론, 그리고 가치론의 패러다임의 재고와 그 대안이 될 비판적 포스트휴머니즘에 대해 논의하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본고는 첫째, 포스트휴먼적 인간의 존재론적 성격에 대한 이해와 그에 걸 맞는 다문화주의의 방향성을 탐색하기 위해, 포스트휴머니즘의 주체성, 자기정체성, 인권, 그리고 자유의 문제를 비판적으로 논의하였다. 둘째, 포스트휴머니즘의 인식론적 성격을 이해하기 위해, 포스트휴먼적 조건에서의 몸-마음-환경의 삼원적 관계성, 이에 대한 대표적 이론인 능동자-망 이론, 그리고 탈인간중심적 패러다임의 생태정치학에 대해 논의하였다. 셋째 가치론적 차원에서, 진보된 자본주의의 생명정치학에 대한 비판을 바탕으로 사회 정의를 위한 다문화주의의 역할과 그 대안적 담론으로써 비판적 포스트휴머니즘의 역할에 대해 논의하였다. 본고의 논의는 점차 포스트휴먼적 조건으로 변해가는 사회 속에서 다문화주의가 어떻게 인본주의의 한계를 극복하고 생태적 윤리와 사회 정의를 위한 새로운 이념적 틀로 변할 수 있는지에 대한 담론의 장을 열수 있을 것이다.

다문화적 창의성 연구의 이론적 토대와 핵심 요인

Since the concepts and theories of creativity shifted from individual to collective perspectives, recently more researchers are committed to investigate how multicultural experiences might influence the development of creativity recently. This paper aims to establish the theoretical basis of the notion, multicultural creativity and discusses on relevant variables regarding it. To do this, this paper, first of all, reviews how the characteristics of creativity have been developed as they are now and how the perspective on creativity has been shifting from individual to collective one. Second, this paper proposes the theoretical basis of multicultural creativity from the sociocultural and cognitive approaches and discusses how multicultural experiences contribute to facilitate creativity. Finally, this paper suggests four kernel variable of studying multicultural creativity – i.e., motivational, formative, conditional, and measuring – and discusses how these variables can be used in following research on multicultural creativity. The discussion of this paper will provide a platform for researching on multicultural creativity in the future. 최근 다문화적 창의성에 대한 사회와 학계의 관심이 커짐에도 불구하고, 이 주제에 대한 연구는 체계화되어 있지 못한 상황이다. 본고는 이러한 문제점에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 다문화적 창의성을 개념화하고, 이를 위한 연구의 이론적 토대와 관련된 변인들에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본고는 첫째, 현재의 창의성의 개념이 어떤 변천과정을 거쳐서 개념화되어 왔는지를 정리해보고, 최근 창의성 연구의 패러다임이 어떻게 변화하고 있는지 논의하고자 한다. 둘째, 다문화적 창의성의 이론적 토대를 사회문화적 접근과 인지적 접근 두 가지 차원에서 분석하고, 다문화적 경험과 창의성 간의 관련성에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 마지막으로, 다문화적 창의성을 보다 구체적으로 연구하기 위한 네 가지 핵심 요인-을 촉발 요인, 형성 요인, 조건 요인, 측정 요인-을 제시하고, 각각의 요인들이 어떻게 다문화적 창의성을 체계적으로 연구할 수 있는지를 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구의 논의는 다문화적 창의성의 개념과 그와 관련된 세부적인 요인들을 제시함으로써, 다문화적 창의성이 향후 창의성 연구의 중요한 축이 되는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
