Tangier disease (TD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of lipoprotein metabolism characterized by extremely low levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and apolipoprotein (apo) A-I resulting in accumulation of cholesterol esters in various organs. TD is caused by mutations in the ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) gene. Here, we present the first case report of a Korean patient with TD. A 45-year-old man had corneal opacity, intestinal mucosa abnormalities, and extremely low levels of HDL-C (1.8mg/dL) and apo A-I (<10mg/dL), consistent with a diagnosis of TD. Histologically, foamy macrophages were recognized in the submucosa of the duodenum and colon. We performed PCR-sequencing for all ABCA1 coding exons to confirm genetic abnormalities. Two novel mutations in the ABCA1 gene were identified: i.e., c.3148G>T (p.G1050X) nonsense mutation and c.3202C>T (p.R1068C) missense mutation. The c.3202C>T mutation was not found in 192 normal control alleles. (Korean J Med 78:241-246, 2010)

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to the effect of task-oriented arm movements and muscle enhancement program using elastic bands on limb muscle strength and activities of daily living of mitochondrial myopathy patient. Method : Single-subject experimental research design was applied to. AB Design was adopted. The study period was approximately four weeks. A baseline period of the three sessions of the experiment, the treatment period B, 3 sessions were conducted. Baseline period to observe the patient's daily life bardel index was measured as an independent feature, MMT as a limb muscle strength was assessed by measuring early. During the period of treatment with serabaendeu limb strength training 30 minutes after the break five minutes after the treatment using MMT limb muscle strength were evaluated. Task-oriented exercise program, and who exercise a week as a treatment was carried out in 30 minutes. Result : All of the scores for each sessional period of treatment when compared to base line and upper limb muscle strengthening exercises on the subjects that did not change significantly. Conclusion : If the muscles and nervous system involvement in patients with symptoms such as muscle weakness and paralysis of upper extremity functional use is difficult.

The purpose of this study is to examine the cause of damage to electrolytic capacitors and to present the heat generation mechanism in order to prevent the occurrence of similar problems. From the analysis results of electrolytic capacitors collected from accident sites, the fire causing area can be limited to the primary power supply for the initial accident. From the tests performed by applying overvoltage, surge, etc., it is thought that the fuse, varistor, etc., are not directly related to the accidents that occurred. The analysis of the characteristics using a switching regulator showed that the charge and discharge characteristics fell short of standard values. In addition, it is thought that heated electrolytic capacitors caused thermal stress to nearby resistances, elements, etc. It can be seen that the heat generation is governed by the over-ripple current, application of AC overvoltage, surge input, internal temperature increase, defective airtightness, etc. Therefore, when designing an electrolytic capacitor, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the correct polarity arrangement, appropriate voltage application, correct connection of equivalent series resistance(ESR) and equivalent series inductance(SEL), rapid charge and discharge control, sufficient margin of dielectric tangent, etc.
전자기기의 신호전송을 위한 Photo Couplers(P/C) 의 위험 요소 발굴

The purpose of this study is to find risk factors by analyzing the operation principle of a photo coupler (P/C) used to remove the noise of electronic devices and establish a base for the performance improvement of developed products. It was found from the P/C circuit analysis of normal products that they were equipped with an electrolytic condenser of 0.1 μF to smooth system signals. Due to the epoxy resin packing the external part of the P/C, this study experienced a limit to visually examine the damage to it. It could be seen from the analysis of electric characteristics of the P/C that the forward voltage (Vf) and reverse current (Ir) were 1.3 V and 10 uA, respectively. In addition, it is required that the breakdown voltage (VCE) between the collector (C) and emitter (E) be maintained at less than 35V. The and of the damaged product #1 were comparatively good. However, the measurement of was 100.0 uA. From this, it is thought that a short circuit occurred to the internal circuit. Moreover, from the fact that the of the damaged product #2 was open circuit and the measurement of was 0.0 uA, it is thought that the collector and emitter was separated or insulation resistance was significantly high. Furthermore, from the fact that the of the damaged product #3 was open circuit and the measurement of was 0.0 uA, it is thought that the space between the collector (C) and emitter (E) failed to meet the design standard or that they were separated. Therefore, it is thought that fabricating the P/C by increasing the reverse current 10 mA to 50 mA will prevent its malfunction.
전기시스템의 절전모드에 적용되는 PCB의 오작동 원인 개선에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to find the causes of malfunctions and defective operation of printed circuit boards (PCBs) built into home refrigerators to perform power saving functions. This study performed an electrostatic test of a PCB built-in using an Auto Triggering system; lightning and impulse test using an LSS-15AX; and an impulse test using an INS-400AX. From the analysis of a secondarily deve-loped product, it was found that electrostatic discharge (ESD) caused more malfunctions and defective operations than electric overstress (EOS) due to overvoltage. As a result of increasing the condenser capacity of the PCB circuit, withstanding voltage was increased to 7.4kV. In addition, this study changed the power saving mode and addition, this study changed the power saving mode and connected a varistor to the #2 pin of an IC chip. As a result, the system consisting of all specimens of a finally developed product was operated stably with an applied voltage of less than 10kV. This study found it necessary to perform quality control at the manufacturing stage in order to reduce the occurrence of electrostatic accidents to IC chips built into a PCB.
골반경사 방향과 허리벨트 착용이 물건 들고 일어서기 시 척추기립근의 활동전위에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 산업 및 업무 현장의 환경에서의 요통 발생률을 최소화하고자 현재 지속적으로 연구되어지는 골반 자세와 요통 예방 치료를 위해 사용되어지는 허리벨트를 사용하여 요부의 척추기립근에 대한 근활성 정도를 알아보고자 하였고, 그 결과 벨트 미착용 시 근 활성이 유의하게 높게 나타났으며, 골반 전방경사시 더 높은 근활성을 나타냈다. 따라서 요부를 안전하고 요통의 위험요인 들로부터 예방하기에 적합한 요추 전만자세의 필요성을 알게 되었고, 허리벨트의 사용으로 인해 보다 올바른 물건 들기 자세를 교육할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study were to examine the effect of two different pelvic alignments and the back belt on electromyographic(EMG) activity of the erector spinae during lifting. The results were as follows: 1) EMG activity of erector spinae was greater when the pelvis was tilted anteriorly than when the pelvis was tilted posteriorly during lifting. 2) EMG activity of erector spinae was greater when the back belt than when without the back belt during lifting. These results suggest that the greater EMG activity of erector spinae with an anterior pelvic tilt position and with back belt during lifting may ensure optimal muscular support for the spine while handling loads.

Insulin 83건을 검사 대상으로, 장비 WIZARD(PerkinElmer, USA)와 DREAM- G-10(Shinjin, KOREA)의 Graph Algorithm 중에 표준곡선과 신뢰성이 가장 높은 Excel의 추세선은 다항식 추세선이다. 다음으로 다항식 추세선식을 이용하여 표준농도 1개씩을 제외하여 표준농도의 회귀식에 미치는 영향을 비교한 결과 최고농도($315{\mu}IU/m{\ell}$)의 평균값이 표준물질 6개로 실시한 표준 회귀식을 이용한 평균값과 비교하여 49%나 평균값이 저하되었다. 단 낮은 농도에서는 영향이 미비하였다. 마지막으로 WIZARD의 Point to Point형식과 DREAM G-10의 Point to Point형식이 적합성이 높고, DREAM G-10(Point to Point)와 Excel 다항식 추세선이 적합성이 높으며, Excel 다항식 추세선과 DREAM G-10(2'nd order Polynomial)의 적합성이 높다. Purpose Using a regression formula of the trendline near the coefficient of determination (R2) "1" by substituting the dependent variable of the standard curve to calculate the values of the independent variable. To determine the suitability of a regression equation by comparing the difference between the independent variables of the standard curve and the predicted independent variables. Materials and Methods Perkin Elmer Gamma-Counter machine was used for Standard curve of regression methods. TSH. TG-Ag (Thyroglobulin Antigen), Insulin that used materials and method test to compare the result from the Excel trendline of the regression formula. Results Each of the value of coefficient of determination ($R^2$) and Trendline $R^2=1$, Polynomial Trendline for TSH, $R^2=1$, Polynomial Trendline for TG-Ag, $R^2=0.9994$, Polynomial Trendline for Insulin. Conclusion We confirmed that IRMA immune method is found to the nearest trends elected a standard curve using polynomial trendline. The independent variables to predict the trend by using a polynomial trendline formula containing the error was a limitation.

Objective: We report six patients with traumatic intracerebellar hematomas between 1997 and 2003 at our hospitals. Methods: Each data about patients' clinicoradiologic findings, management, and outcomes, which were retrospectively reviewed. Results: All patients had skull fracture on occiput and five patients with large hematomas(three cm or greater) were operated on. In the results of surgery, three patients were good outcome but two patients were fatal due to compression of brain stem. One patient with small hematoma (1.5cm) was treated conservatively and recovered. Conclusion: In our cases, the clinical course and prognosis of traumatic intracerebellar hematoma were grave. The results of this study support that early diagnosis based on strict observation in patients with occipital fracture will lead to best results.
