Thin films of pp(ST-Co-VA) were fabricated by plasma deposition polymerization (PVDPM) technique. Properties of the plasma polymerized pp(ST-Co-VA) thin films were investigated for application to semiconductor device as insulator. Thickness, dielectric property, composition of the pp(ST-Co-VA) thin films were investigated considering the relationship with preparation condition such as gas pressure and deposition time. In order to verify the possibility of application to organic thin film transistor, a pentacene thin film was deposited on the pp(ST-Co-VA) insulator by vacuum thermal evaporation technique. Crystalline property of the pentacene thin film was investigated by XRD and SEM, FT-IR. Surface properties at the pp(ST-Co-VA)/pentacene interface was investigated by contact angle measurement. The pp(ST-Co-VA) thin film showed a high-k (k=4.6) and good interface characteristic with pentacene semiconducting layer, which indicates that it would be a promising material for organic thin film transistor (OTFT) application.

Experiments were performed to determine the thermal (or turbulent) diffusion coefficient (TDC) and to investigate the critical heat flux (CHF) performance in the 5×5 rod bundle with 5 unheated rods which are supported by Hybrid Mixing Vane. In this study, HFC-134a fluid was used as working fluid and the fluid temperature were measured in the important subchannels. To determine the TDC value, the measured fluid temperatures were compared with the predicted values obtained from the MATRA code. The best optimized value of β was found to be 0.02 by considering prediction statistics, i.e., average and standard deviations of the differences between the experimental results and code calculations. Using the best optimized value of β as 0.02, the MATRA code predicts the test results of the fluid temperature within ±1.0 % of error. According to the experimental results on CHF of 5 non-heating guide tubes, the case with non-heating guide tube showed a little good performance in terms of CHF.

In this paper, voltage-fed high frequency resonant inverter of instantaneous current phaser control method used to DC voltage source separated is proposed. In the output control method, a novel circuit type of phase shift driving signal method with CVCF illustrated, also the operation principle of the proposed circuit is described in detail and its characteristics are presented as to normalized parameters. According to the each mode, in order to the circuit analysis and characteristic evaluation of the state equation are derives and present used to normalized parameter In the future, this proposed inverter show that it can be practically used as power source system for the lighting equipment of discharge lamp, DC-DC converter etc.

In this study, a ubiquitous sensor for condition monitoring of insulators and lightning arresters installed in power distribution lines and electric traction vehicles is presented. The sensor consists of two parts; a leakage current measurement and a lightning surge detection. Measured data are transmitted to a supervisory computer through ZigBee protocol based on IEEE 802.15.4. To detect leakage current, a window type Mn-ZCT is used and a low-noise amplifier with a gain of 60 ㏈ is designed, and this can measure leakage current in ranges of 100 ㎂ ~ 5 ㎃. A sample-hold (S/H) and a Rogowski coil are injected to analyze the magnitude of surge current in ranges from 500 A to 10 ㎄ with 8/20 ㎲-waveform.
