      • 부호화된 영상의 크기를 변환하는 새로운 고속 트랜스코더

        최근 이동 무선망을 통한 발전된 비디오 응용 서비스에서 비디오 스트림의 크기를 효과적으로 줄이는 트랜스코더가 필요로 하게 되었다. 이러한 트랜스코더는 화소공간뿐만 아니라 DCT 공간상에서도 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 화소공간과 DCT 공간을 활용하여 시각적 화질을 유지하면서 영상 크기를 효과적으로 줄이는 새로운 고속 복합 트랜스코더를 제안하였다. 또한 부호화 모드 결정과 움직임 벡터 재산출 방법을 제안하였다. 대표적인 실험용 비디오 시퀀스에 적용하였을 때 기존의 공간영역 트랜스코딩 방법과 유사한 시각적 화질을 유지하면서도 계산량을 감소시킬 수 있었다. Recently, many advanced video application services over the mobile wireless networks have required a transcoder which can efficiently reduce the size of compressed video bitstreams. The transcoder can be worked in either the spatial domain or the DCT domain. In this paper, we propose a new fast hybrid-type transcoder which can efficiently reduce the frame size with keeping the visual quality. The proposed scheme consists of two major processes: a transform domain process and a spatial domain process. We also propose a scheme for coding mode selection and motion vector refinement. Experimental results show that our approach can reduce the computational complexity more than any other conventional spatial-domain transcoder with keeping the visual quality.

        문자도의 기호학적 위상문자적 속성과 형상화를 중심으로

        In this paper we attempted to clarify some semiotic features of Munjado, known as traditional Korean ideography. We focused the status of ``ecriture`` that Munjado had in its origin and through the evolutionary metamorphosis. Munjado was revealed to be a ``myth-gram``, in terms of Derrida and Leroi-Gouhrant, and initiated the similar artistic systems like plastic calligraphy, design ``calligraphy`` and even ``emoticon`` becoming modern myth-gram together. Also we applied Boudon`s scheme to clarify the configuration process of Munjado. We found that Munjado could be generated from the ordinary, ornamental, formal configurations. Having graphic feature, Munjado has been undergoing the process of simplification on its figural contour and form. As conclusion, we emphasized that Munjdo should be treated in a more universal paradigm that could be leaded as a general methodology regarding the image in general.

        시각기호학의 체계 정립을 위한 예비 연구

        This study proposes establishing the Visual Semiotics as an autonomous discipline by re-exploring its goals and targets, and reviewing the adequacy of methodology. In 1990s, semiotic study of visual messages were actively conducted by various schools, but since 2000, it showed a tendency to decline pushed by the inherent limitations of semiotic assumptions and lack of basic episteme customized to modern visual circumstances. Further more, the ``Visual Studies`` launched around 2,000 across the Atlantic has covered the problematics of those the visual semiotics has undertaken before. Nevertheless, if we overcome the limitations of the iconographic traditions by adapting some recent alternatives and theoretical frame, the tradition of visual semiotics still will carry the role of presiding discipline so as to cover the digital and multimodal aspects of modern visual eco-system. This study puts a corner stone for re-defining visual semiotics as a branch of modern humanities and autonomous discipline.

        중국 현대미술의 동향과 과제

        This paper aims at describing roughly the trend and issues of Chinese contemporary art from 80’ to today. The chronological marks of Chinese modern art are defined with the political upheaval of the modern Chinese history, i.e., The ‘Cultural Revolution’, ‘Tiananmen’, and followed ‘Reform and Opening’ of China. Consequently, global comprehension of Chinese contemporary art has been attracted by the so-called “si da tianwang” and their art works known as Chinese avant-garde. This paper has examined the misunderstanding of the precedent about Chinese contemporary art, and revealed that up-to-dated contemporary Chines artists have overcome the political scratches of the past. Ignoring the Western view point of evaluation, some of them try to reinterpret the everlasting tradition of Chinese art, like Ink Painting, and their achievements proved to be the unique art form. Meanwhile, with the rapid economic growth of the region, the contemporary Chinese art and artists are deeply undermined by the commercialization of fine arts, and the paper does not forget to criticize it.

        프랑스 지역학 / 언어학 / 플로슈 조형기호학의 변용에 관한 비판적 고찰

        J.-M. Floch, un des disciples de Greimas, a public trois livres intervales gaux. Petites mythologies de 1`oeil et de 1`esprit(1985) vise construire la smiotique plastique. Celle-ci a pour but de comprendre les conditions de production mais aussi lintentionalit dun certain type de relation entre un signifiant visuel et un signifi. Tel propos implique le refus de substituer aux objets de sens manifests par le jeu des eslments figuratives une lexicalsation immediate de leur seule dimension figurative. Ce propos se transforme dans SEmiotique, marketing et communication (1990) . L`auteur pense que la smiotique peut representer, dans le domaine de marketing, une relle valeur aioute dans trois types de production ou de transformation : il faut obtenir plus dintelligibilit. plus de pertinence, plus de diffrenciation. Dans Identity visuelles(1995). 1`auteur a conscience de revenir son cap. Sengager dans 1`analyse des identitess visuelles, cest continuer travailler sur les rapports entre le sensible et lintelligence : au centre des analyses se situe le concept de `bricolaBe`. Nous critiquons que cette mrstamorphose est dGe des caractcres flous de la thorie du plastique mane mais nous estimons que le trajet intellectuel de Floch s`arrte la naissance de la smiotique syncrtique, qui abordera les divers discours sur la culture de 1`image.

        드 라 투르 회화에서 빛의 의미효과

        Cette etude a pour but de verifier la theorie de la configuration de la lumiere developpee par J. Fontanille en l`appliquant a <L`adoration des bergers> de Georges de La Tour. Comme les peintures baroques sont caracterisees avec leurs effets flamboyants de la lumiere, nous avons realise avec cette etude une interaction entre l`histoire d`art et la semiotique. La configuration de la lumiere s`avere assez effective pour interpreter <L`adoration des bergers> avec ses quatres effets du sens: eclat, eclairage, matiere et chromatisme. L`etat actuel de la semiotique de la lumiere, cependant, n`arrive pas au statut assez universel et puissant pour surmonter l`approche de Panofsky, car elle manque les points indispensables qui constituent la semiotique des passions: mise en modele des problemes de la modulation et de l`aspectualisation effectues dans les messages visuels.

        프랑스 지역학 , 언어학 : 민화 < 문자도 > 기호학적 해석

        Parmi les plusieurs types de Minwha, art folkrolique coren, le Moorliado(C nous intresse avec sa complexity de caract8res smiotique et rhtorique. Il a comme composants des images et des lettres chinoises, Bans lesquelles se trouvent respectivement les niveaux hirarchiss des signes. Pendant la premiere et la moyenne priode de la dynastie de Chosun, une srie de Hengsil-do(fT3 est publiese par les ordres des lois: leur but est de faire suivre tique du confucianisme, idologie politique de ce regime, au peuple. Le Moorja-do serait une version publique du Hengsil-do. Les images visualisent les histoires ou les Igendaires qui incarnent cette tique, et les lettres les racontent. Au premier, les images sont dans les lettres: celles-ci, conformant aux normes calligraphiques traditionelles, fonctionnet comme contours, et donc elles se chargent d`un univers smiotique du confucianisme. Cet univers enferme les images-rcits, lequel nous montre que la lettre rgne sur image. Ce type de Moortja-do sera un pictogramme qui figure fidlement idologie de ce priode. Quand le peuple introduit le Moorlia-do, celui-ci se transforme: les images -rcits, comprenant des lettres, les substituant, les $quot;mangeant$quot;, s`avancent comme lments assez pertinents que les lettres. Dans cette metamorphose. divers tropes stylistiques peuvent etre identifies: montage, mtaphore. mtonymie, synecdoque, etc. Le Moorzja-do devient enfin un genre d`art folkrolique coren, et il met en harmonie des lments opposes comme lettre et image. IettrE et profane, norme et crEativit, propagande et art, etc. Le Mooqja-do est aussi un bricolage au sens lwi-straussien, et les peintres de Moortia-do sont des bricoleurs qui dveloppent leurs oeuvres jsuqu`au niveau mythique: ce type de Mooria-do s`avre, smiotiquement, un nouveau mythogramme. Le Moonja-do intkresse non seulement les smioticiens mais les designers. Avec son caractre typographique, le Moorja-do sera bien employs comme trsor des graphismes modernes et futurs.

        보이는 것의 기호학 연구 서설

        Entre la Semiotique des passions(1991) et la Semiotique du discours (1998), J. Fontanille a publie la Semiotique du visible en 1995. Ici, l`auteur reprend les enjeux releves de la semiotique des passions: les articulations de la tensivite, l`intervention de la praxis enonciative dans l`edification des cultures, la mise en relation de l`activite perceptive et de l`activite signifiante. La semiotique du visible part d`une configuration de la lumiere ou la perception, la figurativite, l`affectivite et la modalisation sont sollicitees. Les etapes constructives de la Semiotique du visible sont: se faire un devoir d`articuler la configuration de la lumiere sur la perception et le sentir, suivre les deformations du visible d`une culture a l`autre et s`engager a montrer la valeur heuristique des articulations de l`espace tensif. Si la semiotique des passions peut sembler plus speculative qu`operatoire, cette nouvelle proposition se concentre sur le phenomene physique et biologique de la lumiere dont la diffusion semble interdire une interpretation directe en termes semiotiques. Nous avons identifie les effets de sens que les quatres avatars font apparaitre et qui s`adapent aux models des modulations tensifs: effets d`eclats, effets d`eclairage, effets de chromatisme, effets de la matiere. Nos travaux prochains seront de verifier la validite de cette approche en l`adapant aux analyses des textes visuels concrets.
