관절 가동화와 등척성 근력운동이 퇴행성 슬관절염 환자의 관절가동범위, 통증경감에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of 8 weeks ROM & isometric strengthening exercise program in the patient with the osteoarthritis of knee. The test objects are 24 patients(12 experimental group, 12 control group) who visited the rehabilitation patient of K medical center and were diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis. To evaluate effect of exercise, VAS(visual analogue scale), ROM(range of motion) are used. Exercise program consisted of 8 weeks exercise of at least 4 times a week, at least 3 times a day for an average of 20 minutes. The experimental data were analyzed by statistical method paired t-test(p<.05). The results are as follows. Knee joint extension test shows it decreased significantly in experimental group(p<.05), but there was not significant in control group. Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) test shows there was a statistical improvement among experimental group(p<.05), but not among control group. In conclusion, we found out the effects of exercise programs to achieve relief of pain from knee osteoarthritis patient, improve in range of joint movement, and be better function for better life as well as have continuous education and confirmation so that it becomes part of their life.
만성질환에 따른 노인의 혈역학적 변인, 치매 및 낙상관련체력과 하지근력 요인에 대한 상관분석

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of hymodynamic variables, demensia, falling related fitness and lower extremity strength in older person with chronic disease. 77 Men and 91 Women aged 65~83 years participated in this study. The subjects were divided into five groups(normal; n=37, coronary artery disease; n=36, hypertension; n=38, diabetes mellitus; n=27, arthritis; n=32). They were tested Hymodynamic variables by blood sample, dementia by MMSE Questionnaire, falling related fitness by 6min walking, sit to stand, grip strength, sit & reach, 3m up & go, reaction time, functional reach and close one leg balance, lower extremity strength by CYBEX 770(USA) were measured. The results are as follows. In coronary artery disease and diabete mellitus group, HLD-cholesterol and systolic blood pressure were shown significant differences among groups. In five groups, dementia questionnaire were shown no significant differences. In five groups, grip strength, one leg balance, lower extremity strength, 3m up & go were shown significant difference. Correlation analysis showed the association of grip strength, one leg balance, lower extremity strength, 3m up & go with chronic disease in older person. In conclusion, increasing muscle mass in upper & lower extremity, balance ability, walking speed through regular exercise is recommended to improve chronic disease deterioration in older person.
SiHa 세포주에서 비소화합물 ( As2O3 , As4O6 ) 투여 후 cDNA microarray 를 이용한 유전자 발현의 변화

Objective : To obtain information on the growth inhibition effect of arsenic compounds and gene expression profiles using cDNA microarray technique in SiHa cell lines. Methods : We cultured 103 SiHa cell in 96 well plate and we investigated growth inhibition effects using MTT assay and also we performed gene expression profile experiment using 384 cDNA chip in SiHa cell after exposure of arsenics (As2O3, As4 O6 - 1 μM) for 48 hrs. Results : Arsenics (As2O3, As4 O6) inhibit the growth of SiHa cells (As2O3: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 μM - 9.2, 56, 89, 93, 96, 96%, As4O6: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 μM- 54, 84, 84, 85, 85, 87%) in 4 days culture. As2O3 and As4O6 induced apoptosis in SiHa cells. After exposure of As2O3, 47 genes were changed more than 2 times (eg, thymidylate synthetase, cyclin B1, CDC 20). In case of As4O6, 78 genes were changed more than 2 times (eg, CDC 20, cyclin B1, primase, proliferating cell nuclear antigen). Conclusion : we observed arsenic compound (As2O3, As4 O6) inhibit the growth of SiHa cell. In gene expression profiling experiment, 78 genes was changed the expression level 2 times more than that of reference RNA after treatment of As4O6 and 47 genes after treatment of As2O3. Through these result, we thought more study need in functional genomics after arsenic treated cervical cancer cells.
