        Progression of Left Ventricular Pseudoaneurysm after an Acute Myocardial Infarction

        Left ventricular (LV) pseudoaneurysms rarely occur, but are detected more often with the development of new diagnostic tools. Since LV pseudoaneurysms are life-threatening, early surgical intervention is recommended. This report describes an 87-year-old woman with heart failure and a large LV pseudoaneurysm which progressed from a small LV pseudoaneurysm after an acute myocardial infarction over a 1-year period.

        Grid-Connected Three-Phase Inverter System with Sub Inverter using Combination Type UPFC Structure

        As the renewable energy market grows, grid-connected inverters have been improving and expanding in several fields in recent years because energy conversion devices are the main components of solar systems. In this paper, a high-precision new grid-connected three-phase inverter system is proposed. The proposed system consists of a main inverter, a sub inverter and a transformer. The main inverter operates at a low switching frequency and high power and transmits power to the grid. A sub-inverter connected in series with the transmission line through a matching transformer operates at lower power than the main inverter to provide input values to the transformer. The transformer acts as a power supply according to the voltage compensation value. This study is based on the principle of operation of the UPFC(Unified Power Flow Controller) structure used to regulate power flow in AC transmission lines. The grid-connected inverter system proposed in this paper is implemented with high precision and high resolution. The proposed system was verified through its ability to enhance and ensure the safety of the proposed system through simulation and experiment.

        Progression of Multifaceted Immune Cells in Atherosclerotic Development

        Atherosclerosis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease, that are associated with thrombosis-induced organ infarction. In Westernized countries, the high prevalence of obesity-induced insulin resistance is predicted to be a major factor leading to atherosclerotic vascular disease. Both genetic and environmental factors interfere with immune responses in atherosclerosis development with chronic and non-resolving states. The most known autoimmune disease therapy is cytokine-targeted therapy, which targets tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin (IL)-17 antagonists. Recently, a clinical trial with the anti-IL-1β antibody (canakinumab) had shown that the anti-inflammatory effects in canakinumab-treated subjects play a critical role in reducing cardiovascular disease prevalence. Recent emerging data have suggested effective therapeutics involving anti-obesity and anti-diabetic agents, as well as statin and anti-platelet drugs, for atherothrombosis prevention. It is well-known that specialized immune differentiation and activation completely depends on metabolic reprogramming mediated by mitochondrial dynamics in distinct immune cells. Therefore, there is a strong mechanistic link between metabolism and immune function mediated by mitochondrial function. In this review, we describe that cellular metabolism in immune cells is strongly interconnected with systemic metabolism in terms of diverse phenotypes and activation.

        순시전력 합성 개념을 이용한 가상주파수 3상 실효전압 계측기법

        This paper proposes a new measurement method using virtual power concept to measure the effective value of 3-phase voltage with variable frequency. The conventional effective value measurement method uses a method of integrating data sampled during one or half cycle of the power voltage and averaging it. In this method, since the effective voltage is calculated every cycle, a time delay occurs in the measured effective voltage and it is s a problem to measure the effective value of a device whose frequency varies from time to time, such as a generator. The proposed 3-phase voltage rms measurement method has an advantage that it can measure accurate voltage RMS value regardless of measurement frequency variation. In particular, there is an advantage in that it is possible to measure a 3-phase effective voltage rather than an average value of the effective voltage of each phase in a 3-phase unbalance voltage. In addition, the validity of the proposed method is verified by using the Psim simulation tool and the experimental results are analyzed by applying the proposed measurement algorithm to the actual three phase synchronous generator voltage measurement experiment.

        모델리스트의 업무 및 교육 실태에 관한 연구

        This study aims to provide basic data to suggest guidelines for re-education and work improvement of mod-elists based on the analysis of the current status of modelist work and education. A survey was conducted from January 4 to May 15, 2020, targeting 44 people working in pattern, pattern CAD, and grading in domestic apparel companies. Descriptive statistical analysis and frequency analysis using SPSS 25 were employed to analyze the status of work type, work difficulties, and re-education. For pattern production, the rate of using pattern CAD for business was high. It was found that companies mainly use YUKA CAD (63.8%), and branded companies use pattern CAD (100%). It was found that 3D CAD is mostly employed by vendors (88.9%), and CLO (90%) is mainly used. Regarding difficulties in pattern making, it was found that they experienced difficulties with stretchable materials owing to the amount of shrinkage and sagging of the fabric. The work problem was the lack of requisite working hours owing to the volume of work. Regarding future re-education, 63.6% of the total respondents indicated that they required a course related to pattern correction and mate- rial. Moreover, it was found that re-education was necessary to upgrade technology and acquire new knowledge, however, information on re-education was insufficient.

        ‘고통을 통한 성장’과 ‘증상 경험 글쓰기’에 대한 자문화기술지

        As an autoethnography of the researcher's experience of symptoms accompanied by pain and suffering, this study deals with changes in the perception of suffering through writing and multi-dimensional analysis of symptom experiences. Writing about symptom experiences involves specifying those experiences, which allows the related emotions to flow without being overpowered by other strong emotions and acknowledging the pain accompanying the symptom experience as a part of life. Suffering is the process of experiencing the uniqueness of the subject. Talking about pain restores a sense of connection with the outside world, thereby allowing pain to become a source of meaning. In this study, events that significantly impacted the researcher's life were specified as “Key Life Events.” Seven such events were selected as meaningful. The analysis of symptom experience allowed for the integration of childhood experiences into adulthood through the concept of childhood trauma and related research. Considering the social and cultural context, I investigated the social influence surrounding symptom experiences, changes in attitudes toward social events, and Korean society's perception of “young women” and “patients,” derived from symptom experiences. Through interpersonal context analysis, my self-epic grew through positive interactions with my husband, a meaningful other even during experiences of pain. The importance of relationships with meaningful others was recognized through the companions I met at the hospital, who were also in pain. Lastly, I wrote about symptom experience and conducted an autoethnography for approximately five years. I found that my self-awareness improved from "suffering" to "responding to the pain of others." 본 연구는 연구자의 고통을 동반하는 증상 경험에 대한 자문화기술지로, 증상 경험에 대한 글쓰기와 다면적 분석을 통해 고통에 대한 인식 변화를 다루고 있다. 증상 경험에 대한 글쓰기는 증상 경험을 언어로 구체화하는 작업으로, 구체성을 확보한 증상 경험은 더 이상 강렬한 감정에 매몰되지 않고 감정을 흘러갈 수 있게 했으며, 증상 경험에 따르는 고통을 외면하는 것이 아니라, 삶의 일부로 받아들이게 했다. 고통은 주체의 고유성을 체험하는 과정이며, 고통에 대해 이야기하는 과정은 외부 세계와의 연결감을 회복하게 하여 고통이 자신에게 주는 의미를 얻게 된다. 본 연구는 연구자의 생애에 강렬한 영향을 미쳤던 사건을 ‘생애 핵심 사건’으로, 총 7개의 사건으로 구체화하여 사건에서의 증상 경험을 ‘고통에 압도당하는 나’, ‘원인 규명과 회복 경험’, ‘고통이 지나가는 통로로 내 몸 인식’으로 의미화했다. 증상 경험에 대한 분석은 아동기 트라우마 개념과 관련 연구를 통해 어릴 때부터 현재에 이르기까지의 증상 경험을 통합할 수 있었으며, 사회·문화적 맥락을 통해 증상 경험에 둘러싼 사회적 영향, 사회적 사건에 대한 태도의 변화, 증상 경험에서 비롯된 ‘젊은 여성’, ‘환자’에 대한 한국 사회의 인식을 살펴보았다. 대인관계적 맥락 분석을 통해서는 고통의 현장에서도 의미 있는 타인인 남편과의 긍정적인 상호작용으로 자기서사의 관계 맺는 방식이 가르기서사, 밀치기 서사에서 되찾기, 감싸기 서사로 성장해갔으며, 병원에서 만난 고통의 동료를 통해서도 의미 있는 타인과의 관계의 중요성을 재인식하였다. 마지막으로, 약 5년간의 증상 경험 글쓰기와 분석, 자문화기술지 연구 과정을 통해 연구자의 자기 인식이 ‘고통받는 존재’에서 ‘타인의 고통에 반응하는 존재’로 성장할 수 있었다.

        법률영역에서 GPT-4 활용 가능성과 시사점 - 법학적성시험(LEET) 중심으로 -

        2022년 11월 OpenAI에서 공개한 초거대 언어모델(Large Language Model, LLM) 기반 대화형 인공지능 ChatGPT가 전세계적으로 큰 반향을 일으키고 있다. 특히 가장 최근 모델인 GPT-4의 경우 LSAT의 성적이 상위 12%의 점수를 기록하는 등 혁신적인 성과를 보여줌으로써 언어와 추론에 크게 의존하는 법률 분야에서 법률 문서 해석, 계약서 작성 등 모든 법률 업무에서 사람을 대체할 수 있는 수준까지 얼마 남아 있지 않았다는 예측이 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 막연한 우려에 대한 근거를 객관적인 실험을 통해 증명해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 OpenAI가 발표하였던 미국의 LSAT 실험 결과를 재확인해보고, 이와 유사한 우리나라의 법학적성시험인 LEET 시험의 문제풀이 분석을 통해 법률영역에서 GPT-4가 가지고 올 영향을 평가해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 GPT-4의 문제풀이가 논리적이고, 타당하며, 정확한 추론을 내릴 수 있도록 다양한 프롬프트 디자인을 통한 실험을 진행하였다. 이러한 실험 방법을 통해 GPT-4의 추론 과정에서 발생한 문제점을 분석하여 적시하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 GPT-4 모델이 LEET 시험 문제를 풀 때 피상적인 분석만 가능하며 새로운 사실 적용이 어렵고, 개방형 질문에 대한 답변이 일관되지 않으며, 암시적 사실은 단순히 없는 것으로 판단하는 경우 등이 나타나 아직까지 GPT-4는 합리적인 추론모델로 인정하기 어려웠다. 다만, 법률 말뭉치를 활용한 사전학습, 법률전문가 피드백 시스템 구축, 법적 지원 기술 개발 등의 방식으로 추론영역에서 사람의 의사결정을 지원할 수 있는 가능성은 충분하다고 판단된다. In November 2022, OpenAI released ChatGPT, a conversational AI chatbot, which caused a global sensation. The most recent model, GPT-4 is expected to replace experts in various legal tasks, including interpreting legal documents and drafting contracts, due to its impressive performance enhancements, such as achieving top 12% on LSAT. This study aims to objectively prove the concerns surrounding GPT-4 through experiments. To achieve this, the study confirmed the results of the LSAT experiment announced by OpenAI and evaluated the potential impact of GPT-4 on the legal field by analyzing the problem-solving of LEET, a legal aptitude test similar to LSAT, in Korea. The study conducted various prompt design experiments to ensure that GPT-4's problem-solving is logical, valid, and able to draw accurate inferences. The study analyzed the problems that arose during GPT-4's inference process through this experimental method. The research results showed that GPT-4 can only perform superficial analysis when solving LEET test questions, has difficulty applying new facts, returns inconsistent answers to the same question, and often ignores implicit facts. Therefore, it is currently difficult to recognize GPT-4 as a rational inference model. However, it has potential to aid human inference in law by pre-training with legal data, incorporating expert feedback, and developing specialized legal technology.
