Or what do you do if you want to show the evidence to police about the person who involved in hitting your vehicle or car? For all these kind of questions, we can find the solution using the new advanced system in the vehicles called ‘Black Box’ which records the data while you are driving the vehicle or even when it is parked. This paper explains about the major applications of ‘Black Box’ and its hardware functionalities.
DC 및 RF 스퍼터링법으로 증착한 Cr 박막의 특성 비교

Chromium (Cr) films were deposited on plain carbon steel sheets by DC and RF magnetron sputtering as well as by electroplating. Effects of DC or RF sputtering power on the deposition rate and properties such as, hardness, surface roughness and corrosion-resistance of the Cr films were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microcopy (SEM) analyses were performed to investigate the crystal structure, surface roughness, thickness of the Cr films. Salt fog tests were used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the samples. The deposition rate, hardness, and surface roughness of the Cr film deposited by either DC or RF sputtering increase with the increase of sputtering power but the adhesion strength is nearly independent of the sputtering power. The deposition rate, hardness, and adhesion strength of the Cr film deposited by DC sputtering are higher than those of the Cr film deposited by RF sputtering, but RF sputtering offers smoother surface and higher corrosion-resistance. The sputter-deposited Cr film is harder and has a smoother surface than the electroplated one. The sputter-deposited Cr film also has higher corrosion-resistance than the electroplated one, which may be attributed to the smoother surface of the sputter-deposited film.

Acromegalic patients can develop mild upper airway obstruction. However, the limitation of both vocal folds mobility developing dyspnea is rare. We report a case with bilateral vocal cord paralysis associated with acromegaly. The patient visited our clinic presenting dyspnea showing bilateral vocal cord hypomobility in laryngoscopy. The patient underwent a tracheostomy and a transsphenoidal resection of the pituitary adenoma. Thereafter, laser cordotomy with medial arytenoidectomy was done for the permanent treatment of glottal obstruction. The tracheotomy canula was successfully removed one month after the surgery.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the differences in the polysomnography data between positional and non-positional obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients. Methods: Forty-seven patients diagnosed with OSA were evaluated using full night polysomnography. According to the criteria of Cartwright et al., the patients were classified into two groups with 37 positional (supine apnea-hypopnea index [AHI] $\geq$ 2x's the lateral AHI) and 10 non-positional (supine AHI < 2x's the lateral AHI) OSA patients, and the differences of polysomnography data between the two groups were evaluated. Results: There were no significant differences in demographic variables (age, gender, and BMI), daytime sleepiness, overall AHI, total arousal index, and percent time of snoring between two groups. However, AHI, arousal index, and mean oxygen saturation ($SpO_2$) of the REM sleep stage were significantly more severe in the positional OSA group than the non-positional OSA group. Mean $SpO_2$ and the lowest $SpO_2$ during overall sleep stage were also significantly lower in the positional OSA group than the non-positional OSA group. Conclusions: Our results of differences in the polysomnography data of REM sleep stage suggest that non-positional OSA patients may have higher collapsibility of the oropharyngeal airway during sleep than positional OSA patients.

This study introduced a method of estimating water surface evaporation using the physical-based Penman combination equation (PCE) and the Penman wind function (PWF). A set of regression parameters in the PCE and PWF models were optimized by using the observed evaporation data for the period 2016-2017 in the Yongdam Dam watershed, and their effectiveness was explored. The estimated evaporation over the Deokyu Mountain flux tower demonstrated that the PWF method appears to have more improved results in terms of correlation, but both methods showed overestimation. Further, the PWF method was applied to the observed hydro-meteorological data on the surface of Yongdam Lake. The PWF method outperformed the PCE in the estimation of water surface evaporation in terms of goodness-of-fit measure and visual evaluation. Future studies will focus on a regionalization process which can be effective in estimating water surface evaporation for the ungauged area by linking hydrometeorological characteristics and regression parameters.

Transparent ZnO:Al conductor films for the optoelectronic devices were deposited by using the capacitively coupled DC magnetron sputtering method. The effect of Al doping concentration and discharge power on the electrical and optical properties of the films was studied. The film resistivity of $8.5${\times}$10^{-4}$ $\Omega$-cm was obtained at the discharge power of 40 W with the ZnO target doped with 2 wt% $Al_2$$_O3$. The transmittance of the 840 nm thick film was 91.7% in the visible waves. Increasing doping concentration of 3 wt% $Al_2$$O_3$ in ZnO target results in significant decrease of film resistivity, which may be due to the formation of $Al_2$$O_3$ particles in the as-deposited ZnO:Al film and the reduced ZnO grain sizes. Increasing DC power from 40 to 60 W increases deposition rate by more than 50%, but can induce high defect density in the film, resulting in higher film resistivity.
Effects of Calcination Atmosphere and Temperature on Phase Evolution of Coprecipitated Ti-V-O Oxides

Ti_(1-x)V_xO_2 oxides were produced by a coprecipitation process using TiCl_4 and VOCl_3 as starting materials. As-precipitated gels were calcined at 500~800°C, either in a vacuum or oxygen atmosphere. Effects of the calcination atmosphere and temperature on the phase transition of crystalline Ti-V-O oxides were studied. Calcination in an oxygen atmosphere produced Ti-V-O oxides, which are mixtures of TiO2 and V_2O_5 oxides formed for all the calcination temperatures. Calcinations at 800°C in vacuum resulted in the formation of a rutile Ti_(1-x)V_xO_2 single phase for all compositions of vanadium. A significant portion of vanadium ions is incorporated into the TiO2 lattice, which consistently decreases the lattice parameters of the rutile Ti_(1-x)V_xO_2phase as the vanadium addition increases.

This paper presents the modeling approach that can predict transient behavior of rotary compressor. Mass and energy conservation laws are applied to the control volume, real gas state equation is used to obtain thermodynamic properties of refrigerant. The valve equation is solved to analyze discharge process also. Dynamic analysis of vane and roller is carried out to gain friction work. From the above modeling, the performance of rotary compressor with radial clearance and friction loss is investigated numerically. The performance of each refrigerant is estimated, respectively by applying R12, R134a, and R290/ R600a mixture.
농업가뭄인자 미계측 지역의 농업가뭄 추정을 위한 기상학적 가뭄지수의 활용성 평가

The object of this study was to assess availability of meteorological drought index for agricultural dorught estimation in ungauged area of agricultural drought parameters which are reservoir water level and soil moisture. The IADI (Integrated Agricultural Drought Index) and the SPI (Standard Precipitation Index), which are the criteria for determining agricultural drought and meteorological drought, were calculated and compared. For this purpose, the droughts that occurred in the Baeksan reservoir in Gimje and the Edong reservoir in Suwon were evaluated by using the IADI and SPI drought indecies. In addition, we compared and analyzed the depth of drought based on the two drought indices. Evaluations derived form the IADI and SPI showed that the standard precipitation index tended to indicate the occurrence of drought earlier than the integrated agricultural drought index. However, the integrated agricultural drought index was better than the standard precipitation index at evaluating the severity of drought during the period of irrigation. The relationship between these two drought indices seems to be useful for decision making in the case of drought, and it is considered that more studies are needed to examine the applicability of these drought indexes.
