A patient with Down syndrome has hematologic and oncologic disorders of medical complication. Down syndrome shows that characteristic hematologic and oncologic abnormalities and developments of disorders are different at ages. Many hematologic disorders were related to Down syndrome. There are diseases of red blood cells, white blood cell disorders, platelet and bleeding disorders, aplastic anemia, and transient myeloproliferative disease. Acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and rarely solid tumors (Neuroblastoma, Wilm’s tumor, Hodgkin’s lymphoma) are also associated with Down syndrome. We checked clinical manifestations of each disorder and we should make standard hematologic index of different age groups. In addition, the relations between chromosome 21 and hemato-oncologic disorders should be found. We need to investigate potential therapeutic interventions that can improve quality of life and life expectancy in patients with Down syndrome.

Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP), known as hyperergic leukocytoclastic vasculitis, is characterized by various associated signs and symptoms primarily involving the skin, the gastrointestinal tract, the kidneys, the joints, and the nervous system. The hallmark of the disease is the rash, beginning as pinkish maculopapules. Arthritis is usually localized to the knees and ankles and appears to be concomitant with edema. Edema and damage to the vasculature of the gastrointestinal tract may also lead to intermittent abdominal pain that is often colicky in nature. Renal involvement occurs in 25-50% of children The pathogenesis of HSP remains poorly understood, but it is postulated that an unknown antigenic stimulus causes elevation of circulating IgA and that complement activation leads to necrotizing vasculitis It typically occurs after infection of the upper respiratory tract. However, a wide variety of different conditions may also be involved. Recent reports have described an association between Helicobacter pylori(HP) infection of the gastric mucosa and HSP, suggesting a possible pathogenetic relationship. We report patients with HSP who presented with HP infection tests are positive and discuss about that.
유방의 과립구성 육종으로 재발한 급성 골수성 백혈병 1 례

Granulocytic sarcoma is a malignant neoplasm composed of poorly differentiated cells of the myelogenous series. Granulocytic sarcoma are reported in 3.1-9.1% of patients with myelogenous leukemia and occur concomitantly, following or rarely antedating the onset of leukemia. Granulocytic sarcomas can occur at various sites of the body and frequently at multiple sites. Involvement of the breast is uncommon. We experienced a case of acute myelogenous leukemia. 12 months earlier, she was diagnosed as acute myelogenous leukemia(M2) and acheived complete remission with KSPHOG ANL regimen. The patient was treated with KSPHOG ANL regimen without radiation therapy. An 20th day, left breast lesion disappeared and complete remission was obtained.

벼물바구미 피해정도에 따른 벼 생육 및 미질 변화에 미친 영향을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 벼물바구미 피해정도에 따라서 보면 피해정도가 심할수록 경수는 적고, 초장은 짧았으며 최고분벽기도 지연되었다. 2. 벼물바구미 피해에 의하여 출수기는 1-2일 정도 지연되었고, 간장도 짧아졌으며, 수수도 감소하였고, 등숙율은 떨어지는 경향이었다. 3. 벼물바구미 피해에 의하여 수량은 4-22% 감소하였으며, 그 정도는 1모작보다 2모작에서 심하였다. 4. 벼물바구미 피해에 의한 미질 변화는 불완전미가 증가하였고, 특히 청미가 증가하였다. A field experiment was conducted to investigate the influence of water weevil damage on growth and grain guality in rice. Plant height was shortened, number of tillers per hill decreased and maximum tillering stage delayed in damaged field by rice water weevil. Heading date was delayed by 1-2days, culm lenght shortened, panicle lengthened, number of panicles decreaced, number of panicles per spikelet increased, ripened grain ratio decreased in damaged field by rice water weevil. Yield per 10a was decreased 4-22% in damaged field compared with that in undamaged field by rice water weevil, yield loss in late transplanting (June 23) was larger than that in early transplanting (May 20). Imperfect kerml rice, especially green kernel rice, was increased in damaged field by rice water weevil.
