The Purpose of this study was to determine effects of program for improving health related physical fitness developed for older people by measuring the changes in the participant's muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexiability, cardiovascular fitness. This study employed 36 healthy older people who were 60∼65 years old (mean age 62.5years). The subjects were randomly assigned to one of three gruops (two experimental groups and one control). Each group ended up with 12 subjects. The results of the study were as follows : 1. The program for improving health related physical fitness program administered to the experimental groups showed statistically significant effects with respect to the positive changes in cardiovascular fitness during the treatment period. 2. The physical fitness program administered to the experimental groups showed statistically significant effects with respect to the positive changes in flexibility. 3. The program for improving health related physical fitness program administered to the experimental groups showed statistically significant effects with respect to the positive changes in musclular endurance during the treatment period. 4. The program for improving health related physical fitness program administered to the experimental groups showed statistically significant effects with respect to the positive changes in musclular strength during the treatment period.

The purpose of this study was to examine effects of foot reflexology on sleep dysfunction and fatigue in old woman. Experimental group is consisted of thirty old woman and control group is consisted of twenty-eight old woman. A research study in which a 44 minutes foot reflexology was offered on three-consecutive to experimental group from April 11, 2007 to April 18, 2007. A quasi-experimental control-group pretest-posttest design was to collect data before and after the invervention. The subject' self-report of sleep(measerd by VSH sleep scale, sleep cheek list designed by Oh et al.(1998)) and fatigue(measured by VAS, fatigue checklist designed by the Labor and health institude of japan(1998)) were recorede before and the invervention. Data analysis were consisted of frquency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chronbach's a, Chi-Square test, t-test, ANOVA using SPSS Win 11.0 program. 1. The first research hypothesis : Experimental group's sleep score will be higher following of foot the administration of reflexology than control group's. Experimental group's VSH score was higher following of foot the administration of reflexology than control group's(F-4.981, P=.034, F=12.654, P=001). Experimental group's sleep score was higher following of foot the administration of reflexology than control group's(F=15.945, P=.000). The first research hypothesis was supported. 2. The second research hypothesis : Experimental group's will reduce a fatigue following of foot the administration of reflexology than control group's. Experimental group's VAS score was lower following of foot the administration of reflexology than control group's(F=5.734, P=,020). Experimental group's fatigue score was lower following of foot the administration of reflexology than control group's(F=12.963, P=.001). The second research hypothesis was supported. In conclusion, foot reflexology is a effective intervention that conduced to sleep and reduces fatigue in old woman.

In this paper, relations between ween Exercise and Water-soluble vitamins are discussed. It is revealed by a lot of studies previously made, as well as in this experiment that there are some kind of vitamins, such as vitamin B1 and Vitamin C, of which the necessary amount is increased as the amount of exercise rises. Eventhough the necessary amount of Vitamins, such as Niacin, Pantothenic acid and Biotin is expected to be increased according to the acceleration degree of metabolism, it is not likely that all of these Vitamins have relation with exercise. It seems that both Vitamin B6 and Folate have strong relation with Aminoacid and there is a possibility that the necessary amount of Vitamin B6 and Folate in increased as the amount of protein intake is augmented. Therefore, further studies on relation bet. Exercise and the necessary amount of vitamins should be made. Since the vitamin deficiency may cause to lower both metabolism and exercise ability, athletes need to take sufficient amount of vitamins by food : In order to take sufficient amount of various kinds of vitamins, athletes need to have balanced diet. However, excessive intake of any vitamin may cause to decrease athletes performance because it prevents other kinds of vitamins from being fully absorbed. Although studies on the negative effect of excessive intake of vitamins in a long run have not been made, athletes who take vitamins everyday as supplement need to check the amount of vitamin intake.

The study was aimed to identify the effects of foot massage on fatigue recovery after anaerobic exercise. 10 subjects on basketball player performed anaerobic exercise(wingate test)to examine the physical work capacity. Each subject was treated one of two recovery methods(foot massage, rest recovery). Blood lactate was analyzed at pre-exercise, 5, 10 and 15 minutes. The major finds of this study were as follows; first, Blood lactate concentration was removed more rapidly with foot massage than with rest recovery during the post-exercise recovery period. second, Recovery time of blood lactate concentration was significant from 10 to 15minutes with foot massage during the post-exercise recovery period. In conclusion, The result of this study was noticed that fatigue is recovered more rapidly with foot massage than with rest recovery method after maximal exercise. It means that the foot massage is considered as a means of keeping the physical activity and sports.

To determine the effects of exercise program which is developed to advanced the physical fitness of the old aged, mountain climbing exercise for 12 weeks was performed to the aged 60's. Studied subjects consisted with 50 man and 50 women, aged 60's, who resided in Taejon city and had not done regular exercise. Body fat, muscle strength, body flexibility and cardiovascular endurance of them were calculated and compared before and after mountain climbing exercise for 12 weeks from September 1, 1996. Following results were obtained therefrom; Body fat reduced 2.57% in made, and 2.68% in female, but muscle strength was improved 3.07㎏ in made and 2.43㎏ in female. Body flexibility, tested by bend forward, was improved 2.17cm in made, and 2.32㎝ in female. Cardiovascular endurance, tested by 1,200m running time, was reduced 18.2 seconds in made and 15.5seconds in female. For the conclusion, there showed advancement of physical fitness after the 12 weeks mountain climbing exercise.
