        The purpose of this study is to review the meaning and character of moral development in physical education, and to provide a guide for further improvement of moral education. Jean Piaget was one of the first theorists who looked at how individuals made moral judgements. Two stages of moral development emerged from his work. The first stage is external morality. The second stage is internal morality. One of the followers of Piaget was Lawrence Kohlberg who was able to refine Piaget's early work by describing six discreet stages of moral development-Preconventional level, Conventional level, Postconventional, Autonomous, principled level. In physical education ample opportunities to deal with moral issues often occur in the games students play in class, their social interaction in and tasks that require student cooperation. These discussion will be good guidance for the moral development in physical education and help teachers gain a better understanding about the variability in student behavior.

      • 중등학교 체육교사 연수의 문제점과 개선 방안

        This study is to analyze the physical education teachers' understanding on the physical education training and to find out the problem and the solution of the present training system. To achieve the purpose, 281 physical education teachers were selected, and inquired about the frequency analysis through the questionnaire, and documentary records were examined. The subjects have positive thought above the average about the effect which the training system had on lectures, training contents, facilities, evaluations, and professionalism development. The problem of the training is the negative attitude to teacher training, the training contents out of teachers' demand and interest, the lack of professional lecturer, and the inefficient operating system. The way to improve the problem is the positive and active attitude on participating in the training, the selection of the contents helpful for education, the competent lecturers, the facilities expansion, the training expense support, efficient evaluation method, and the appropriate training advertisement and period.

        The purpose of this study was to review the literature related to the teacher's socialization in physical education. In this paper, we have specifically discussed the current status of research in teacher socialization in physical education. Also, the study was give suggestions and directions to implement the teacher education programs on the basis of findings. In physical education, the studies of physical education teacher socialization have changed from the technocratic perspective to dialectic one. According to the traditional study of physical education teacher's socialization, teachers are regarded as passive agents who accept the norms and values of institution. But according to the dialectic perspective, teachers are regarded as active agents who do the decision making on their own. It is important to note that the direction of future research should be varied for the comprehensive understanding of teacher's socialization , teachers are regarded as passive agents who accept the norms and values of institution.         Many physical education teachers utilize cooperative activities, various forms of cooperative games, or some elements of cooperative learning in their physical education programs. Cooperative learning is an instructional format in which students work together in small, structured, heterogeneous groups to master content. The purpose of this study was to review of cooperative learning in physical education. Within the various approaches to cooperative learning are five elements needed for success: positive interdependence, individual accountability, promotive face-to-face interaction, interpersonal and small group skills. and group processing. Finally, several aspects of cooperative learning are suggested: conceptual, structural, curricular, and complex instruction.

        예비체육교사의 협력 수업 실연에 대한 반성일지 분석

        The purpose of this study was to explore teaching experience of pre-service physical education teachers’ cooperative microteaching through the analysis of a reflective journal. For this, the researcher, as a class observer, collected 20 pre-service physical education teachers’ reflective journals. The findings and suggestions were as follows. Participants experienced the recognition of the lesson plan in the preparation process, and their lesson development in perspective were enlarged through psychological stability caused by roles of main- and sub-teacher. Also, the communication between main- and sub-teacher in microteaching helped them master time management effectively. In conclusion, teaching classes for pre-service physical education teachers in college may be required to provide cooperative microteaching. 본 연구의 목적은 예비 체육교사들이 경험한 협력 수업 실연이 어떠한 측면에서 긍정적 영향을 끼쳤는지를 분석하는 것이다. 이 연구를 위해 수업 관찰자의 관점에서 20명의 대학생들을 대상으로 질적분석 방법을 활용해 반성일지를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 수업 지도안 작성에 대한 재인식을 수업 준비과정에서 경험하였으며, 주교사와 보조교사의 역할분배로 인한 심리적 안정을 기반으로 수업 전개를 진행하는 시야가 확대되었다. 마지막으로 주교사 및 보조교사와의 수업진행에서의 충돌 혹은 협력을 통해 수업 진행을 위한 시간 운용이 원활하였고, 수업 성찰을 위한 계기가 마련되었다. 이러한 분석을 통해 대학의 교직수업에서 개별 수업실연 뿐만 아니라 협력 수업 실연의 적극적 도입이 효과적일 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다.

        체육수업에서 심리적 욕구만족, 수업참여 및 신체활동 간의 관계에서 동기의 조절된 매개효과

        The purpose of the this study was to test if middle school students’ self-determined motivation moderated the mediation effect of engagement in physical education in the relationship between basic psychological need satisfaction and after-school physical activity. The subjects were 347 middle school students (197 males, 150 females) and they completed a set of questionnaires measuring need satisfaction, motivation, engagement, and leisure-time physical activity. Data were conducted using descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The result of hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the students’ need satisfaction was a predictor of class engagement and after-school physical activity, and that it positively influenced to physical activity through engagement in physical education. The result of the Moderated regression analysis indicated that the effect of basic psychological need satisfaction on after-school physical activity via engagement in physical education was moderated by the low and high level of students’ self-determined motivation. These findings suggest that middle school students are should participate in physical education classes and physical activity when the physical educator satisfies the pupils’basic psychological needs and intrinsic motivation. 본 연구의 목적은 중학교 체육시간에 학생들의 심리적 욕구만족이 수업참여를 통해 방과 후 신체활동량에 영향을 미치는데 있어서 학생들의 체육수업에 대한 자기결정적 동기 수준이 수업참여의 매개효과를 조절하는지를 검증하는데 주된 목적을 두었다. 연구대상은 중학생 347명(남학생197명, 여학생 150명)이며, 기본 심리적 욕구만족, 체육수업 참여, 자기결정적 동기, 그리고 방과후신체활동을 측정하는 질문지에 응답하였다. 자료는 기술통계, 확인적 요인분석, 상관분석, 그리고위계적 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석되었다. 위계적 회귀분석의 결과 심리적 욕구만족은 중학생의 수업참여와 방과후 신체활동량을 예측하는 변수로서 수업참여를 통해 신체활동량에 정적인 영향을주는 것으로 나타났다. 조절 회귀분석의 결과, 체육시간에 중학생들의 심리적 욕구만족이 수업참여를 통해 방과후 신체활동량에 미치는 효과는 체육수업에 대한 자기결정적 동기 수준에 의해 영향을 받는다. 본 연구결과는 체육교사가 중학생들의 자율성과 유능성, 그리고 관계성 욕구를 충족시켜주고 체육수업에 대한 내적 동기를 증진시킬 때 학생들이 체육수업과 방과 후 신체활동에 적극적으로 참여한다는 사실을 시사한다.

        직소 협동 학습 모형의 체육 수업 적용 사례 연구

        This study analyzes the educational phenomenon and meaning of jigsaw cooperative learning when it is applied to high school physical education class and explores the possibility of applying jigsaw cooperative learning model. For the study it provided the second grade students of C high school in Cheongju city, Chungbuk province with 14 baseball classes for the second semester of the year 2007. Jigsaw cooperative learning model included 4 groups in total giving each member of a group a variety of professional roles to analyze the effectiveness and improvement of the lesson that appear through the roles of professionals during the lessons. It selected 9 people from each role to collect data. It interviewed the 9 people and received daily reports and their ideas on the lesson for the analysis. The result showed that jigsaw cooperative learning model is helpful to rise techniques and game abilities, improve the positiveness of the lesson participation, improve the relation between students. It also found that jigsaw cooperative learning model is above all important for clarification of role division and role understanding, individual responsibility for role execution, interdependence between students. 이 연구는 직소 협동 학습 모형을 중등 체육 수업에 적용하였을 때 나타나는 교육적 현상과 의미를 분석하고 직소 협동 학습 모형의 적용 가능성을 탐색하는 것이다. 이러한 연구를 위해 충북 청주시 지역에 위치한 C 고등학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 삼아 2007학년도 2학기 야구 수업을 14차시 시행하였다. 직소 협동 학습 모형은 총 4개조의 편성으로 조별 구성원에 대한 다양한 전문가 역할을 부여하여 수업 운영 중 전문가 역할 수행을 통해 나타나는 수업의 효과 및 개선점을 질적 연구를 통해 분석하고자 시도하였다. 자료 수집을 위해 각 역할 별 1명씩 총 9명의 연구대상자를 선정하여 면담과 일지, 수업 소감문 작성케 하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 직소수업 모형은 기능 및 경기력 향상 도움, 수업 참여의 적극성, 동료관계의 개선, 정의적 발달 등의 효과를 나타냈다. 또한 직소 학습 모형은 역할 배분 및 인지의 명료화와 역할 수행에 대한 개별적 책무성, 동료들 간의 긍정적 상호 의존성이 무엇보다 중요함을 발견할 수 있었다.
