The purpose of this study is to quantitatively investigate perceived discomfort of complex shoulder postures with external loads and to propose a preliminary evaluation scheme of shoulder postures. Twelve healthy male adults participated in an experiment to rate their perceived discomfort of shoulder postures. The independent variables were shoulder flexion angle(45, 90 and 150$^{\circ}$), adduction/abduction angle(-30, -10, 0, 30 and 60$^{\circ}$), and external load(0, 1.5 and 3.0kg). The results revealed that the flexion angle, external load and their interaction significantly affected the perceived discomfort(p$<$0.05) but the effect of adduction/abduction angle on the discomfort was not significant(p$>$0.05). The effect of external load was much larger than that of any other factor with explaining about 81% of the total variation of discomfort scores. Based on the experimental results a preliminary scheme was presented to evaluate the stress of shoulder postures with external loads.

Most regression models of anthropometric variables use stature and/or weight as regressors; however, these 'flat' regression models result in large errors for anthropometric variables having low correlations with the regressors. To develop more accurate regression models for anthropometric variables, this study proposed a method to estimate anthropometric variables in a hierarchical manner based on the relationships among the variables and a process to develop and improve corresponding regression models. By applying the proposed approach, a hierarchical estimation structure was constructed for 59 anthropometric variables selected for the occupant package design of a passenger car and corresponding regression models were developed with the 1988 US Army anthropometric survey data. The hierarchical regression models were compared with the corresponding flat regression models in terms of accuracy. As results, the standard errors of the hierarchical regression models decreased by 28% (4.3mm) on average compared with those of the flat models.

The feeling of repeatedly opening and closing moving part operations such as a car door, a hood, and a trunk is an important factor affecting the emotion of the user. In order to investigate and analyze the user's sensibility of moving parts, there is a need to measure the sensitivity of moving parts. The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation scale for the evaluation of opening parts of moving parts based on emotional vocabulary expressing kinesthetic sense of product manipulation. According to the sensibility engineering research method, the movement sense related vocabulary was collected through the literature survey and the moving part translation manipulation vocabulary collection experiment using the actual vehicle. The collected vocabularies were integrated by similarity and arranged in a conflicting manner. In order to analyze the moving part sense structure showing the relationship between the opening and closing sensibility vocabulary, a total of 42 vehicle owners performed an experiment to evaluate the opening and closing feeling of the moving part of the vehicle. Experiment participants were asked to open and close doors, hoods and trunks, which were selected as typical moving parts, by their own strength. The operational sense structure of the moving parts was analyzed using exploratory factor analysis by opening and closing the moving parts and verified by internal consistency and construct validity. As a result of analysis, the opening / closing feeling of the moving parts consisted of five senses of high quality / usability, weight / elasticity, lightness / softness, low acuity and consistency.. The evaluation scale of this study can be used to systematically measure and evaluate the moving part opening and closing operation feeling.
디지털 인체모델 설계기법을 적용한 장애인 농작업 장비 설계

Currently, agriculture in Korea is facing a manpower shortage due to a decrease in the population and an aging workforce. Involving disabled people in agriculture as a solution to the problem of manpower shortage in agriculture can help both farmers and people with disabilities. For this, it is necessary to develop agricultural tools that disabled people can use in agricultural activities. This study tried to design agricultural work equipment for the disabled by applying a design technique using a digital human body model. To this end, in this study, a human body model for the disabled was created using anthropometric data for the disabled. After that, the agricultural work simulation using human body models was used to identify the problems in agricultural work of the disabled, and design supplementation was performed to solve the problems. As a result, design dimensions such as the height of the farm work bench for the disabled, the length of the fruit harvester, the length of the sprayer, and the height of the starter switch were determined. This study has significance in that the digital human body model-based design method was applied to the design of agricultural work equipment for the disabled.
제품의 무게와 크기에 따른 선호도 및 만족도 분석: 과자 제품을 중심으로

물체의 무게감은 실험심리학의 감각 분야에서 오랫동안 관심을 받아온 주제로 물체의 무게뿐만 아니라, 크기, 색상, 재질 등의 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져있다. 반면, 제품의 무게는 감성에 영향을 주는 요인으로 감성공학 등의 분야에서 일부 연구되었으나, 그 중요성에 비해 충분히 조명되지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 무게감에서 발생하는 크기-무게 왜곡 현상이 감성에서 어떻게 나타나는지 파악하기 위해 제품의 무게와 크기에 따른 선호도와 만족도를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 크기 추정 능력이 검증된 20 대 대학생 54 명이 과자제품의 무게와 크기에 따른 감성을 평가하였다. 본 실험이 사용한 과자제품은 무게가 선호되는 쿠키 류 중 잘 알려진 것으로 세 가지 크기의 종이 상자로 판매되고 있고, 본 실험은 이 제품의 세 가지 크기와 세 가지 무게 수준들을 조합하여 총 9 가지의 과자상자를 준비하였다. 실험참여자는 modulus 방식에 의해 과자상자의 무게감을 평가하였고, 11 점의 의미미분법 척도로 무게의 선호도와 만족도를 평가하였다. 연구결과, 같은 무게에서 크기가 작은 상자의 무게감이 그리고 같은 크기에서 무게가 큰 상자의 무게감이 유의하게 높아, 기존 무게감의 크기-무게 왜곡 현상은 본 연구에서도 같게 나타났다. 선호도와 만족도도 이와 비슷한 현상을 보였으나, 본 연구는 특정 무게 이상에서 선호도와 만족도가 더이상 커지지 않음을 발견하였다.
