This study deals with the characteristics of wire-cut EDM(Electrical Discharge Machining)process in aluminum alloys. Besides 2 series and 7 series of aluminum alloys for aerospace applications, porous aluminum is tested, which is used for sound absorbing material and interior and exterior material of building. Jinyoung JW-30 wire cutting machine was used in this experiment. Tap water passed a filter and ionization was used as the discharging solution. An immersion method was applied as a cooling method because it separates chips effectively and machinability is good even with low value of electric current. The speed of fabrication was estimated by measuring the travel distance of the work piece and time spent for the movement. As pulse-on-time increased the fabrication speed decreased. On the other hand, as peak voltage or peak current increased the fabrication speed increased. In general 7075 aluminum alloy resulted in higher fabrication speed.

Acoustic emission technique is applied to the fatigue crack initiation in a carburized gear tooth. Acoustic emission test performed on carburized gear and three-point bending test equal to carburized gear hardness. The marked acoustic emission are detected at the early stage of crack initiation measured by a crack gauge and the final stage just before the tooth failure. The estimated acoustic emission energy rate are characteristic of the measured acoustic emission.

This paper deals with the bending fatigue strength of sintering spur gears. The test specimens are used to sintering spur gear to be consisted of Fe-C-Ni-Mn and SCM415 spur gear. The fatigue test at a constant stress amplitude is performed by using an electrohydraulic servo-controlled pulsating tester. The S-N curves are obtained and the enhancement of fatigue strength due to carburized treatment is clarified. Accordingly, this study presents the fatigue strength of sintering spur gear, SCM415 spur gear and carburized gears of them. The strength enhancement due to the carburized treatment is discussed.
침탄치차의 잔류응력추정 및 잔류응력을 고려한 응력확대계수에 관한 연구

This paper deals with the residual stress of carburized spur gears is calculated being on the assumption that the main cause of residual stress is the volume difference between case and core due to the martensitic transformation in cooling. A formula is proposed to estimated the residual stress from the hardness and the amount of retained austenite. The estimated residual stress is close to the stress measured by X-ray method. The estimated residual stress is applied to the analysis of the fracture mechanics of carburized spur gear teeth. The stress intensity factor due to the residual stress is demonstrated. The stress intensity factor is computed by the influence function method, and it is shown that the factor is decreased by the residual stress in Carburized gear tooth.
세라믹 코팅이 기계 주조용 알루미늄합금(7075 T6)의 마찰·마모특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

This study deals with the influence of ceramic coating on characteristics of friction and abrasion of aluminum alloyt(7075 T6) used in mechanical casting In this research, frictional wear characteristic of ceramic coating materials such as Al₂O₃, Si₃N₄, SiC was investigated using aluminum alloy(7075 T6) and stainless 403 cast iron under room temperature and normal air pressure. The coating layer was observed using SEM The conclusions are as follows: 1) Friction coefficients of Al₂O₃, SiC and S i₃N₄ are obtained 0.63 0.56 and 0.54 respectively. 2) Abrasion resistance of stainless 403 cast iron with Si₃N₄ is the best among the ceramic coating materials. 3) Abrasion mechanism of aluminum alloy(7075 T6) coated with ceramic material and stainless 403 cast iron is caused by brittle fracture. 4) Coating the ceramic material on the aluminum alloy(7075 T6) can effectively increase the antiwear, impact properties, and corrosion resistance.

This paper descrived housing design in conception of dynamic characteristics. The vibration and noise in power train system of automobile are important on the environment matter. The vibration caused by meshing teeth of gear is transmitted to the gear box faces through shafts and bearings. Shape of housing is used different radius of curvature(R=0 to 80 mm). The velocity responese, sound power and radiation efficency on the surface of gear box are calculated. The sound power and radiation efficency are compared with different radius of curvature.

There are many advertisements in mass media. So the ad affects on many people, especially very strongly on children. It makes teachers teach them about an ad. The methods of an ad education are like below. Fist there is a method of the expanding understanding. Teachers make the primary students study the kind of ad and determine the appropriateness of an ad and comment on its effect. If a copy of an ad doesn't have proper effect, teacher makes the students correct the copy. Second, there is a method of expanding the power of expression. The expression of an ad is one of the expressions of persuasion. So the study of an ad means the study of persuasion. When students make an ad, they think the goods and the discourse of the society, and then the appealing theme of the goods. Finally they write the ad copy and evaluate its appropriateness and effect.
